Psalms 57
1 Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me: for my soul trusts in you: yes, in the shadow of your wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be over.
聖歌隊の指揮者によって、「滅ぼすな」というしらべにあわせてうたわせたダビデのミクタムの歌。これはダビデが洞にはいってサウルの手をのがれたときによんだもの 神よ、わたしをあわれんでください。わたしをあわれんでください。わたしの魂はあなたに寄り頼みます。滅びのあらしの過ぎ去るまではあなたの翼の陰をわたしの避け所とします。
2 I will cry to God most high; to God that performs all things for me.
わたしはいと高き神に呼ばわります。わたしのためにすべての事をなしとげられる神に呼ばわります。
3 He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. (Selah) God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.
神は天から送ってわたしを救い、わたしを踏みつける者をはずかしめられます。[セラすなわち神はそのいつくしみとまこととを送られるのです。
4 My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
わたしは人の子らをむさぼり食らうししの中に横たわっています。彼らの歯はほこ、また矢、彼らの舌は鋭いつるぎです。
5 Be you exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be above all the earth.
神よ、みずからを天よりも高くし、みさかえを全地の上にあげてください。
6 They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have dig a pit before me, into the middle whereof they are fallen themselves. (Selah)
彼らはわたしの足を捕えようと網を設けました。わたしの魂はうなだれました。彼らはわたしの前に穴を掘りました。しかし彼らはみずからその中に陥ったのです。 (セラ)
7 My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.
神よ、わたしの心は定まりました。わたしの心は定まりました。わたしは歌い、かつほめたたえます。
8 Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
わが魂よ、さめよ。立琴よ、琴よ、さめよ。わたしはしののめを呼びさまします。
9 I will praise you, O Lord, among the people: I will sing to you among the nations.
主よ、わたしはもろもろの民の中であなたに感謝し、もろもろの国の中であなたをほめたたえます。
10 For your mercy is great to the heavens, and your truth to the clouds.
あなたのいつくしみは大きく、天にまで及び、あなたのまことは雲にまで及びます。
11 Be you exalted, O God, above the heavens: let your glory be above all the earth.
神よ、みずからを天よりも高くし、みさかえを全地の上にあげてください。
