Psalms 25
1 To you, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.
Davidov. ALEF K tebi, Jahve, uzdižem dušu svoju,
2 O my God, I trust in you: let me not be ashamed, let not my enemies triumph over me.
BET u tebe se uzdam, Bože moj: ne daj da se postidim, da se ne vesele nada mnom dušmani!
3 Yes, let none that wait on you be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
GIMEL Koji se u tebe uzdaju, postidjet se neće: postidjet će se koji se lako iznevjere.
4 Show me your ways, O LORD; teach me your paths.
DALET Pokaži mi, Jahve, svoje putove, nauči me svojim stazama!
5 Lead me in your truth, and teach me: for you are the God of my salvation; on you do I wait all the day.
HE Istinom me svojom vodi i pouči me, jer ti si Bog, moj Spasitelj: VAU u tebe se pouzdajem svagda.
6 Remember, O LORD, your tender mercies and your loving kindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
ZAJIN Spomeni se, Jahve, svoje nježnosti i ljubavi svoje dovijeka.
7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to your mercy remember you me for your goodness’ sake, O LORD.
HET Ne spominji se grijeha moje mladosti ni prijestupa, spomeni me se po svojoj ljubavi - radi dobrote svoje, o Jahve!
8 Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
TET Jahve je sama dobrota i pravednost: grešnike on na put privodi.
9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
JOD On ponizne u pravdi vodi i uči malene putu svome.
10 All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth to such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
KAF Sve su staze Jahvine istina i ljubav za onog koji čuva Savez njegov i propise.
11 For your name’s sake, O LORD, pardon my iniquity; for it is great.
LAMED Jahve, radi svojeg imena grijeh moj mi oprosti, jer je velik.
12 What man is he that fears the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
MEM Ima li koga da se boji Jahve? On će ga poučiti kojim će putem krenuti.
13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.
NUN Duša će mu u sreći počivati, a potomci će njegovi zaposjesti zemlju.
14 The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will show them his covenant.
SAMEK Prisan je Jahve s onima koji ga se boje i Savez svoj objavljuje njima.
15 My eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.
AJIN K Jahvi su svagda oči moje upravljene, jer mi nogu izvlači iz zamke.
16 Turn you to me, and have mercy on me; for I am desolate and afflicted.
PE Pogledaj na me i smiluj se meni, jer osamljen sam i nevoljan.
17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring you me out of my distresses.
SADE Odagnaj tjeskobe srca moga, iz bojazni mojih izbavi me!
18 Look on my affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.
Vidi nevolju moju i muku i oprosti sve grijehe moje!
19 Consider my enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.
REŠ Pogledaj dušmane moje: kako ih je mnogo i kakvom me mržnjom žestokom mrze.
20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in you.
ŠIN Čuvaj dušu moju, izbavi me: neću se postidjeti, jer se tebi utekoh.
21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on you.
TAU Nedužnost i čestitost nek' me štite, jer u tebe se uzdam, o Jahve.
22 Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
Izbavi, Bože, Izraela iz sviju tjeskoba njegovih.
