< Psalms 140 >

1 Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man;
MAING Ieowa kom kotin dore ia la sang aramas sued akan; pera sang ia aramas morsued akan.
2 Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war.
Me lamelame sued nan mongiong arail, o kareda pei nin ran karos.
3 They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders’ poison is under their lips. (Selah)
Irail kin ada lo arail dueta serpent; poisen en serpent mi pan lo arail. (Sela)
4 Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.
Pera wei sang ia pa en me doo sang Kot akan, o aramas morsued akan, me kin madamadaua duen ar pan kawe ia la.
5 The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. (Selah)
Me aklapalap akan kin rir insare ia, o uk pot, me re wiai ong ia liman al o; o song, en men kol ia di, me re wiadar. (Sela)
6 I said to the LORD, You are my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD.
A ngai indang Ieowa: Komui ai Kot; kom kotin ereki ai ngidingid, Maing Ieowa!
7 O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, you have covered my head in the day of battle.
Ieowa Kaun, iei sauas pa i kelail; ni ansau en pei komui peraer mong ai.
8 Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. (Selah)
Maing Ieowa, kom der kotin mueid ong me doo sang Kot akan ar inong; o der kotin kapwaiada insen ar, pwe re de aklapalapala. (Sela)
9 As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.
Me sued kot, me ai imwintiti kaonopadang ia en sapal wong pein irail.
10 Let burning coals fall on them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again.
Kisiniai en moredi ong po’rail; A en kotin kase irail di nan kisiniai, nan lapake, pwe ren solar pitila.
11 Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.
Me lo a sued, ender pwaida nan sap o, ol morsued, me sued en pakipaki i, lao a pan pupedi.
12 I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor.
I asa, me Ieowa pan kotin apapwali me luet akan, o sauas pung en me samama kan.
13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks to your name: the upright shall dwell in your presence.
Melel, me pung kan pan kapinga mar omui, me melel akan pan mimieta mon silang ar.
