< Psalms 125 >

1 They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but stays for ever.
Canticum graduum. [Qui confidunt in Domino, sicut mons Sion: non commovebitur in æternum, qui habitat
2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from now on even for ever.
in Jerusalem. Montes in circuitu ejus; et Dominus in circuitu populi sui, ex hoc nunc et usque in sæculum.
3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest on the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands to iniquity.
Quia non relinquet Dominus virgam peccatorum super sortem justorum: ut non extendant justi ad iniquitatem manus suas,
4 Do good, O LORD, to those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.
benefac, Domine, bonis, et rectis corde.
5 As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be on Israel.
Declinantes autem in obligationes, adducet Dominus cum operantibus iniquitatem. Pax super Israël!]
