< Psalms 110 >
1 The LORD said to my Lord, Sit you at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.
Psalmus David. Dixit Dominus Domino meo: Sede a dextris meis: Donec ponam inimicos tuos, scabellum pedum tuorum.
2 The LORD shall send the rod of your strength out of Zion: rule you in the middle of your enemies.
Virgam virtutis tuæ emittet Dominus ex Sion: dominare in medio inimicorum tuorum.
3 Your people shall be willing in the day of your power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: you have the dew of your youth.
Tecum principium in die virtutis tuæ in splendoribus sanctorum: ex utero ante luciferum genui te.
4 The LORD has sworn, and will not repent, You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
Iuravit Dominus, et non pœnitebit eum: Tu es sacerdos in æternum secundum ordinem Melchisedech.
5 The Lord at your right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.
Dominus a dextris tuis, confregit in die iræ suæ reges.
6 He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.
Iudicabit in nationibus, implebit ruinas: conquassabit capita in terra multorum.
7 He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.
De torrente in via bibet: propterea exaltabit caput.
