Psalms 107
1 O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endures for ever.
| اِحْمَدُوا ٱلرَّبَّ لِأَنَّهُ صَالِحٌ، لِأَنَّ إِلَى ٱلْأَبَدِ رَحْمَتَهُ. | ١ |
2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
| لِيَقُلْ مَفْدِيُّو ٱلرَّبِّ، ٱلَّذِينَ فَدَاهُمْ مِنْ يَدِ ٱلْعَدُوِّ، | ٢ |
3 And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
| وَمِنَ ٱلْبُلْدَانِ جَمَعَهُمْ، مِنَ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَمِنَ ٱلْمَغْرِبِ، مِنَ ٱلشِّمَالِ وَمِنَ ٱلْبَحْرِ. | ٣ |
4 They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
| تَاهُوا فِي ٱلْبَرِّيَّةِ فِي قَفْرٍ بِلَا طَرِيقٍ. لَمْ يَجِدُوا مَدِينَةَ سَكَنٍ. | ٤ |
5 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
| جِيَاعٌ عِطَاشٌ أَيْضًا أَعْيَتْ أَنْفُسُهُمْ فِيهِمْ. | ٥ |
6 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
| فَصَرَخُوا إِلَى ٱلرَّبِّ فِي ضِيقِهِمْ، فَأَنْقَذَهُمْ مِنْ شَدَائِدِهِمْ، | ٦ |
7 And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
| وَهَدَاهُمْ طَرِيقًا مُسْتَقِيمًا لِيَذْهَبُوا إِلَى مَدِينَةِ سَكَنٍ. | ٧ |
8 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
| فَلْيَحْمَدُوا ٱلرَّبَّ عَلَى رَحْمَتِهِ وَعَجَائِبِهِ لِبَنِي آدَمَ. | ٨ |
9 For he satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness.
| لِأَنَّهُ أَشْبَعَ نَفْسًا مُشْتَهِيَةً وَمَلَأَ نَفْسًا جَائِعَةً خَيْرًا، | ٩ |
10 Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;
| ٱلْجُلُوسَ فِي ٱلظُّلْمَةِ وَظِلَالِ ٱلْمَوْتِ، مُوثَقِينَ بِٱلذُّلِّ وَٱلْحَدِيدِ. | ١٠ |
11 Because they rebelled against the words of God, and scorned the counsel of the most High:
| لِأَنَّهُمْ عَصَوْا كَلَامَ ٱللهِ، وَأَهَانُوا مَشُورَةَ ٱلْعَلِيِّ. | ١١ |
12 Therefore he brought down their heart with labor; they fell down, and there was none to help.
| فَأَذَلَّ قُلُوبَهُمْ بِتَعَبٍ. عَثَرُوا وَلَا مَعِينَ. | ١٢ |
13 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
| ثُمَّ صَرَخُوا إِلَى ٱلرَّبِّ فِي ضِيقِهِمْ، فَخَلَّصَهُمْ مِنْ شَدَائِدِهِمْ. | ١٣ |
14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bands in sunder.
| أَخْرَجَهُمْ مِنَ ٱلظُّلْمَةِ وَظِلَالِ ٱلْمَوْتِ، وَقَطَّعَ قُيُودَهُمْ. | ١٤ |
15 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
| فَلْيَحْمَدُوا ٱلرَّبَّ عَلَى رَحْمَتِهِ وَعَجَائِبِهِ لِبَنِي آدَمَ. | ١٥ |
16 For he has broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
| لِأَنَّهُ كَسَّرَ مَصَارِيعَ نُحَاسٍ، وَقَطَّعَ عَوَارِضَ حَدِيدٍ. | ١٦ |
17 Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
| وَٱلْجُهَّالُ مِنْ طَرِيقِ مَعْصِيَتِهِمْ، وَمِنْ آثَامِهِمْ يُذَلُّونَ. | ١٧ |
18 Their soul abhors all manner of meat; and they draw near to the gates of death.
| كَرِهَتْ أَنْفُسُهُمْ كُلَّ طَعَامٍ، وَٱقْتَرَبُوا إِلَى أَبْوَابِ ٱلْمَوْتِ. | ١٨ |
19 Then they cry to the LORD in their trouble, and he saves them out of their distresses.
| فَصَرَخُوا إِلَى ٱلرَّبِّ فِي ضِيقِهِمْ، فَخَلَّصَهُمْ مِنْ شَدَائِدِهِمْ. | ١٩ |
20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
| أَرْسَلَ كَلِمَتَهُ فَشَفَاهُمْ، وَنَجَّاهُمْ مِنْ تَهْلُكَاتِهِمْ. | ٢٠ |
21 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
| فَلْيَحْمَدُوا ٱلرَّبَّ عَلَى رَحْمَتِهِ وَعَجَائِبِهِ لِبَنِي آدَمَ. | ٢١ |
22 And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.
| وَلْيَذْبَحُوا لَهُ ذَبَائِحَ ٱلْحَمْدِ، وَلْيَعُدُّوا أَعْمَالَهُ بِتَرَنُّمٍ. | ٢٢ |
23 They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
| اَلنَّازِلُونَ إِلَى ٱلْبَحْرِ فِي ٱلسُّفُنِ، ٱلْعَامِلُونَ عَمَلًا فِي ٱلْمِيَاهِ ٱلْكَثِيرَةِ، | ٢٣ |
24 These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
| هُمْ رَأَوْا أَعْمَالَ ٱلرَّبِّ وَعَجَائِبَهُ فِي ٱلْعُمْقِ. | ٢٤ |
25 For he commands, and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up the waves thereof.
| أَمَرَ فَأَهَاجَ رِيحًا عَاصِفَةً فَرَفَعَتْ أَمْوَاجَهُ. | ٢٥ |
26 They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
| يَصْعَدُونَ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ، يَهْبِطُونَ إِلَى ٱلْأَعْمَاقِ. ذَابَتْ أَنْفُسُهُمْ بِٱلشَّقَاءِ. | ٢٦ |
27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit’s end.
| يَتَمَايَلُونَ وَيَتَرَنَّحُونَ مِثْلَ ٱلسَّكْرَانِ، وَكُلُّ حِكْمَتِهِمِ ٱبْتُلِعَتْ. | ٢٧ |
28 Then they cry to the LORD in their trouble, and he brings them out of their distresses.
| فَيَصْرُخُونَ إِلَى ٱلرَّبِّ فِي ضِيقِهِمْ، وَمِنْ شَدَائِدِهِمْ يُخَلِّصُهُمْ. | ٢٨ |
29 He makes the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
| يُهْدِئُ ٱلْعَاصِفَةَ فَتَسْكُنُ، وَتَسْكُتُ أَمْوَاجُهَا. | ٢٩ |
30 Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he brings them to their desired haven.
| فَيَفْرَحُونَ لِأَنَّهُمْ هَدَأُوا، فَيَهْدِيهِمْ إِلَى ٱلْمَرْفَإِ ٱلَّذِي يُرِيدُونَهُ. | ٣٠ |
31 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
| فَلْيَحْمَدُوا ٱلرَّبَّ عَلَى رَحْمَتِهِ وَعَجَائِبِهِ لِبَنِي آدَمَ. | ٣١ |
32 Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.
| وَلْيَرْفَعُوهُ فِي مَجْمَعِ ٱلشَّعْبِ، وَلْيُسَبِّحُوهُ فِي مَجْلِسِ ٱلْمَشَايِخِ. | ٣٢ |
33 He turns rivers into a wilderness, and the springs into dry ground;
| يَجْعَلُ ٱلْأَنْهَارَ قِفَارًا، وَمَجَارِيَ ٱلْمِيَاهِ مَعْطَشَةً، | ٣٣ |
34 A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
| وَٱلْأَرْضَ ٱلْمُثْمِرَةَ سَبِخَةً مِنْ شَرِّ ٱلسَّاكِنِينَ فِيهَا. | ٣٤ |
35 He turns the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into springs.
| يَجْعَلُ ٱلْقَفْرَ غَدِيرَ مِيَاهٍ، وَأَرْضًا يَبَسًا يَنَابِيعَ مِيَاهٍ. | ٣٥ |
36 And there he makes the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;
| وَيُسْكِنُ هُنَاكَ ٱلْجِيَاعَ فَيُهَيِّئُونَ مَدِينَةَ سَكَنٍ. | ٣٦ |
37 And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.
| وَيَزْرَعُونَ حُقُولًا وَيَغْرِسُونَ كُرُومًا، فَتَصْنَعُ ثَمَرَ غَلَّةٍ. | ٣٧ |
38 He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffers not their cattle to decrease.
| وَيُبَارِكُهُمْ فَيَكْثُرُونَ جِدًّا، وَلَا يُقَلِّلُ بَهَائِمَهُمْ. | ٣٨ |
39 Again, they are diminished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
| ثُمَّ يَقِلُّونَ وَيَنْحَنُونَ مِنْ ضَغْطِ ٱلشَّرِّ وَٱلْحُزْنِ. | ٣٩ |
40 He pours contempt on princes, and causes them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.
| يَسْكُبُ هَوَانًا عَلَى رُؤَسَاءَ، وَيُضِلُّهُمْ فِي تِيهٍ بِلَا طَرِيقٍ، | ٤٠ |
41 Yet sets he the poor on high from affliction, and makes him families like a flock.
| وَيُعَلِّي ٱلْمِسْكِينَ مِنَ ٱلذُّلِّ، وَيَجْعَلُ ٱلْقَبَائِلَ مِثْلَ قُطْعَانِ ٱلْغَنَمِ. | ٤١ |
42 The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
| يَرَى ذَلِكَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمُونَ فَيَفْرَحُونَ، وَكُلُّ إِثْمٍ يَسُدُّ فَاهُ. | ٤٢ |
43 Whoever is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the loving kindness of the LORD.
| مَنْ كَانَ حَكِيمًا يَحْفَظُ هَذَا، وَيَتَعَقَّلُ مَرَاحِمَ ٱلرَّبِّ. | ٤٣ |
