Proverbs 10
1 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.
၁ရှောလမုန်မင်း၏ သုတ္တံစကားဟူမူကား၊ ပညာ ရှိသောသားသည် အဘဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်းအကြောင်း၊ မိုက် သောသားမူကား၊ အမိဝမ်းနည်းခြင်းအကြောင်းကို ဖြစ်စေတတ်၏။
2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivers from death.
၂မတရားသောဥစ္စာဘဏ္ဍာသည် အကျိုးမရှိ။ ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းပါရမီမူကား၊ သေခြင်းမှ ကယ်တင်တတ် ၏။
3 The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casts away the substance of the wicked.
၃ဖြောင့်မတ်သော သူကိုငတ်၍ သေစေခြင်းငှါ၊ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် အခွင့်ပေးတော်မမူ။ မတရားသော သူတို့၏ အဓမ္မအမှုကိုကား ဖျက်ဆီးတော်မူ၏။
4 He becomes poor that deals with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent makes rich.
၄ပျင်းရိသောသူသည် ဆင်းရဲခြင်း၊ လုံ့လဝိရိယ ရှိသောသူသည် ကြွယ်ဝခြင်းသို့ ရောက်တတ်၏။
5 He that gathers in summer is a wise son: but he that sleeps in harvest is a son that causes shame.
၅အသီးသီးသောအချိန်၌ သိမ်းယူသောသူသည် ပညာရှိသောသား ဖြစ်၏။ စပါးရိတ်ရာကာလ၌ အိပ် တတ်သောသူမူကား၊ အရှက်ခွဲတတ်သောသားဖြစ်၏။
6 Blessings are on the head of the just: but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
၆တရားသောသူ၏ခေါင်းပေါ်မှာ မင်္ဂလာ သက် ရောက်တတ်၏။ မတရားသောသူ၏နှုတ်ကိုကား ညှဉ်းဆဲ ခြင်းအပြစ်သည် ပိတ်လိမ့်မည်။
7 The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.
၇တရားသောသူကို အောက်မေ့သောအခါ ကောင်းကြီးပေးတတ်၏။ မတရားသောသူ၏နာမမူကား ပုပ်ပျက်တတ်၏။
8 The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.
၈လိမ္မာသောသူသည် ပညတ်တရားကို ခံတတ်၏။
9 He that walks uprightly walks surely: but he that perverts his ways shall be known.
၉ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းလမ်းသို့ လိုက်သောသူသည် အနင်းမှန်လိမ့်မည်။ ကောက်သောလမ်းသို့လိုက်သော သူမူကား၊ သဘောထင်ရှားလိမ့်မည်။
10 He that winks with the eye causes sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.
၁၀မျက်စိမှိတ်သောသူသည် စိတ်ကိုပူစေတတ်၏။ စကားများသော လူမိုက်မူကားဆုံးရှုံးတတ်၏။
11 The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covers the mouth of the wicked.
၁၁ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ၏နှုတ်သည် အသက်ရေ တွင်းဖြစ်၏။ မတရားသောသူ၏ နှုတ်ကိုကား၊ ညှဉ်းဆဲ ခြင်းအပြစ်သည် ပိတ်လိမ့်မည်။
12 Hatred stirs up strifes: but love covers all sins.
၁၂မုန်းသောစိတ်သည် ရန်တွေ့ရာသို့ တိုက်တွန်း တတ်၏။ ချစ်သော စိတ်မူကား၊ ခပ်သိမ်းသော အပြစ် တို့ကို ဖုံးအုပ်တတ်၏။
13 In the lips of him that has understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.
၁၃ဥာဏ်ကောင်းသောသူသည် ပညာစကားကို ပြောတတ်၏။ ဥာဏ်မဲ့သောသူ၏ကျောအဘို့မူကား ကြိမ်လုံးရှိ၏။
14 Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.
၁၄ပညာရှိသောသူတို့သည် ကြားသိသောအရာကို သိမ်းထားတတ်၏။ မိုက်သောသူ၏နှုတ်မူကား၊ အကျိုး နည်းခြင်းနှင့်နီးစပ်၏။
15 The rich man’s wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.
၁၅ငွေရတတ်သောသူ၏ စည်းစိမ်သည် သူ၏ခိုင်ခံ့ သောမြို့ဖြစ်၏။ ဆင်းရဲသားတို့၏ဆင်းရဲခြင်းမူကား၊ သူတို့၏ အကျိုးနည်းကြောင်းဖြစ်၏။
16 The labor of the righteous tends to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.
၁၆ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ၏အလုပ်အကိုင်သည် အသက်နှင့်၎င်း၊ မတရားသောသူ၏ အကျိုးစီးပွါးသည် အပြစ်နှင့်၎င်း ယှဉ်၏။
17 He is in the way of life that keeps instruction: but he that refuses reproof errs.
၁၇နည်းဥပဒေသကို စောင့်ရှောက်သောသူသည် အသက်လမ်းသို့ လိုက်တတ်၏။ ဆုံးမခြင်းကို ငြင်းပယ် သောသူမူကား လမ်းလွဲတတ်၏။
18 He that hides hatred with lying lips, and he that utters a slander, is a fool.
၁၈အငြိုးဖွဲ့သောသဘောကို မုသာနှုတ်ခမ်းဖြင့် ဖုံးထားသောသူ၊ သူ့အသရေပျက်အောင် ပြောတတ်သော သူသည် မိုက်သောသဘောရှိ၏။
19 In the multitude of words there wants not sin: but he that refrains his lips is wise.
၁၉စကားများသောအားဖြင့် အပြစ်ပါတတ်၏။ မိမိနှုတ်ကို ချုပ်တည်းသော သူမူကား ပညာရှိ၏။
20 The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.
၂၀ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ၏လျှာသည် ငွေစင်နှင့်တူ ၏။ ဆိုးသောသူ ၏ နှလုံးမူကား အဘိုးမထိုက်။
21 The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.
၂၁ဖြောင့်မတ်သော သူ၏နှုတ်ခမ်းတို့သည် လူအ များကို ကျွေးတတ်၏။ မိုက်သောသူတို့မူကား၊ ဥာဏ်မ ရှိသောကြောင့် သေကြလိမ့် မည်။
22 The blessing of the LORD, it makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.
၂၂ထာဝရဘုရား၏ ကောင်းကြီးမင်္ဂလာသည် စည်းစိမ်ကိုဖြစ်စေ တတ်၏။ ထိုစည်းစိမ်နှင့်လည်း၊ ဝမ်း နည်းခြင်းအကြောင်းကို ရောနှော တော်မမူ။
23 It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding has wisdom.
၂၃မိုက်သောသူသည် အပြစ်ပြုရာ၌ ပျော်မွေ့ တတ်၏။ ဥာဏ်ကောင်းသောသူမူကား ဆင်ခြင်တတ်၏။
24 The fear of the wicked, it shall come on him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
၂၄မတရားသောသူကြောက်တတ်သော အမှုသည် သူ့အပေါ်သို့ ရောက်လိမ့်မည်။ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ တောင့်တသော အကျိုးကိုကား၊ ဘုရားသခင် ပေးတော်မူ မည်။
25 As the whirlwind passes, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
၂၅မတရားသောသူသည် လွန်သွားသော လေဘွေ ကဲ့သို့ ပျောက်တတ်၏။ ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူမူကား၊ မြဲမြံ သော တိုက်မြစ်ဖြစ်၏။
26 As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.
၂၆ပုံးရည်သည်သွား၌၎င်း၊ မီးခိုးသည် မျက်စိ၌ ၎င်း ဖြစ်သကဲ့သို့၊ ပျင်းရိသောသူသည် စေလွှတ်သော သူ၌ဖြစ်၏။
27 The fear of the LORD prolongs days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
၂၇ထာဝရဘုရားကိုကြောက်ရွံ့သော သဘောသည် အသက်တာကို ရှည်စေတတ်၏။ မတရားသော သူ၏ နှစ်ပေါင်းကာလမူကား တိုတတ်၏။
28 The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
၂၈ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ၏ မြော်လင့်ခြင်းသည် ဝမ်းမြောက်စရာအကြောင်းဖြစ်၏။ ဆိုးသောသူ၏ မြော်လင့်ခြင်းမူကား ပျောက်ပျက်လိမ့်မည်။
29 The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
၂၉ထာဝရဘုရား၏ တရားလမ်းသည် ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူ ခိုင်ခံ့ခြင်းအကြောင်း ဖြစ်၏။ မတရားသဖြင့် ကျင့်သောသူတို့မူကား၊ ပျက်စီးခြင်းသို့ ရောက်ရကြ လိမ့်မည်။
30 The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.
၃၀ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူသည် အစဉ်မပြတ်နေရာမှ မရွေ့ရ။ မတရားသောသူမူကား၊ မြေပေါ်မှာ အတည် မကျရ။
31 The mouth of the just brings forth wisdom: but the fraudulent tongue shall be cut out.
၃၁ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ၏ နှုတ်မှပညာစကား ထွက် တတ်၏။ ကောက်လိမ်သော လျှာမူကား၊ အဖြတ်ခံရ လိမ့်မည်။
32 The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaks frowardness.
၃၂ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ၏ နှုတ်ခမ်းတို့သည် နှစ်သက်ဘွယ်သော အရာကို သိကျွမ်းတတ်၏။ မတရား သော သူတို့မူကား၊ ဆန့်ကျင်သော စကားကို ပြောတတ် ကြ၏။
