Matthew 1
1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
Das Buch von der Geburt Jesu Christi, des Sohnes Davids, des Sohnes Abrahams.
2 Abraham was the father of Isaac; and Isaac was the father of Jacob; and Jacob was the father of Judas and his brothers;
Abraham zeugte Isaak. Isaak aber zeugte Jakob. Jakob aber zeugte Judas und seine Brüder.
3 And Judas was the father of Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares was the father of Esrom; and Esrom was the father of Aram;
Judas aber zeugte Phares und Zara von der Thamar. Phares aber zeugte Esrom. Esrom aber zeugte Aram.
4 And Aram was the father of Aminadab; and Aminadab was the father of Naasson; and Naasson was the father of Salmon;
Aram aber zeugte Aminadab. Aminadab aber zeugte Naasson, Naasson aber zeugte Salmon.
5 And Salmon was the father of Booz of Rachab; and Booz was the father of Obed of Ruth; and Obed was the father of Jesse;
Salmon aber zeugte Boas von der Rachab. Boas aber zeugte Obed von der Ruth, Obed aber zeugte den Jesse.
6 And Jesse was the father of David the king; and David the king was the father of Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;
Jesse aber zeugte den König David. Aber der König David zeugte Salomoh von dem Weibe des Uriah.
7 And Solomon was the father of Roboam; and Roboam was the father of Abia; and Abia was the father of Asa;
Salomoh aber zeugte Roboam. Roboam aber zeugte Abia. Abia aber zeugte Asa.
8 And Asa was the father of Josaphat; and Josaphat was the father of Joram; and Joram was the father of Ozias;
Asa aber zeugte Josaphat. Josaphat aber zeugte Joram. Joram aber zeugte Osiah.
9 And Ozias was the father of Joatham; and Joatham was the father of Achaz; and Achaz was the father of Ezekias;
Osiah aber zeugte Joatham. Joatham aber zeugte Achas. Achas aber zeugte Ezechias.
10 And Ezekias was the father of Manasses; and Manasses was the father of Amon; and Amon was the father of Josias;
Ezechias aber zeugte Manasseh. Manasseh aber zeugte Amon. Amon aber zeugte Josias.
11 And Josias was the father of Jechonias and his brothers, about the time they were carried away to Babylon:
Josias aber zeugte Jechonjas und seine Brüder zur Zeit der Umsiedelung nach Babylon.
12 And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias was the father of Salathiel; and Salathiel was the father of Zorobabel;
Nach der Umsiedelung nach Babylon aber zeugte Jechonjas den Salathiel, Salathiel aber zeugte Zorobabel.
13 And Zorobabel was the father of Abiud; and Abiud was the father of Eliakim; and Eliakim was the father of Azor;
Zorobabel aber zeugte Abiud. Abiud aber zeugte Eliakim. Eliakim aber zeugte Azor.
14 And Azor was the father of Sadoc; and Sadoc was the father of Achim; and Achim was the father of Eliud;
Azor aber zeugte Zadok. Zadok aber zeugte Achim. Achim aber zeugte Eliud.
15 And Eliud was the father of Eleazar; and Eleazar was the father of Matthan; and Matthan was the father of Jacob;
Eliud aber zeugte Eleasar. Eleasar aber zeugte Matthan. Matthan aber zeugte Jakob.
16 And Jacob was the father of Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
Jakob aber zeugte Joseph, den Mann der Maria, von welcher Jesus, Der da heißt Christus, geboren ward.
17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon to Christ are fourteen generations.
Alle die Geschlechter nun von Abraham bis David sind vierzehn Geschlechter; und von David bis zur Umsiedelung nach Babylon vierzehn Geschlechter; und von der Umsiedelung nach Babylon bis auf Christus sind es vierzehn Geschlechter.
18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
Die Geburt Jesu Christi aber war also. Als nämlich Maria, Seine Mutter, dem Joseph verlobt war, fand sich, ehe sie zusammen kamen, daß sie vom Heiligen Geist empfangen hatte.
19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privately.
Joseph aber, ihr Mann, da er gerecht war, und sie nicht beschimpfen wollte, war willens, sie insgeheim zu entlassen.
20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, you son of David, fear not to take to you Mary your wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
Während er aber also gedachte, siehe, da erschien ihm der Engel des Herrn im Traum und sprach: Joseph, Sohn Davids, fürchte dich nicht, Maria, dein Weib zu dir zu nehmen; denn das in ihr Gezeugte ist von dem Heiligen Geist.
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Sie aber wird einen Sohn gebären, und Seinen Namen sollst du Jesus heißen; denn Er wird Sein Volk von seinen Sünden retten.
22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
Dies alles ist aber geschehen, auf daß erfüllt würde, was vom Herrn durch den Propheten gesprochen worden, welcher sagt:
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Siehe, die Jungfrau wird empfangen und einen Sohn gebären; und sie sollen Seinen Namen heißen Emmanuel, welches ist verdolmetscht: Gott mit uns.
24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took to him his wife:
Vom Schlafe erwacht aber tat Joseph, wie ihm der Engel des Herrn verordnet hatte, und nahm sein Weib zu sich;
25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
Und er erkannte sie nicht bis sie ihren erstgeborenen Sohn geboren hatte, und hieß Seinen Namen Jesus.
