< Mark 1 >

1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;
Mmalite oziọma maka Jisọs Kraịst, Ọkpara Chineke.
2 As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before your face, which shall prepare your way before you.
Dịka e dere ya rịị nʼakwụkwọ Aịzaya onye amụma sị, “Aga m ezipu onyeozi m nʼihu gị, onye ga-edozi ụzọ gị.”
3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare you the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
“Otu onye na-eti mkpu nʼọzara, na-asị, ‘Dozienụ ụzọ maka Onyenwe anyị, meenụ ka okporoụzọ ya guzozie.’”
4 John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.
Jọn omee baptizim pụtara na-eme baptizim nʼọzara, ma na-ekwusa baptizim nke nchegharị maka mgbaghara mmehie.
5 And there went out to him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.
6 And John was clothed with camel’s hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey;
Uwe Jọn yi nʼahụ ya bụ nke e ji ajị ịnyịnya kamel mee. O kekwara ihe okike e ji akpụkpọ anụ mee nʼukwu ya. Nri ya bụ igurube na mmanụ aṅụ.
7 And preached, saying, There comes one mightier than I after me, the lace of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose.
O kwusara sị: “Onye dị ike karịa m na-abịa nʼazụ m. Onye m na-erughị ihudata ala tọpụ eriri akpụkpọụkwụ ya.
8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
Eji m mmiri na-eme unu baptizim, ma ọ ga-eji Mmụọ Nsọ mee unu baptizim.”
9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.
Nʼoge ahụ, Jisọs sitere na Nazaret nke Galili bịa nʼosimiri Jọdan, ebe Jọn mere ya baptizim.
10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending on him:
Ma mgbe o si nʼime mmiri ahụ na-apụta, ọ hụrụ ka eluigwe meghere. Hụkwa Mmụọ Nsọ dị ka nduru ka ọ rịdatara bekwasị ya nʼisi ya.
11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Otu olu si nʼeluigwe daa, “Ị bụ Ọkpara m hụrụ nʼanya, ihe gị dị m ezi mma.”
12 And immediately the spirit drives him into the wilderness.
Ngwangwa, Mmụọ Nsọ duuru ya baa nʼime ọzara.
13 And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to him.
Ọ nọkwara nʼime ọzara ahụ iri ụbọchị anọ, ebe ekwensu nwara ya ọnwụnwa. Ya na ụmụ anụ ọhịa nọkwa. Ma ndị mmụọ ozi jeere ya ozi.
14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
Mgbe e tinyesịrị Jọn nʼụlọ mkpọrọ, Jisọs gara na Galili, na-ekwusa oziọma Chineke.
15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent you, and believe the gospel.
Ọ sịrị, “Oge ahụ eruola, alaeze Chineke dị nso. Chegharịanụ ma kwerekwanụ nʼoziọma.”
16 Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
Mgbe Jisọs na-aga nʼakụkụ osimiri Galili, ọ hụrụ Saimọn na Andru nwanne ya, ka ha na-awụnye ụgbụ ha nʼime mmiri nʼihi na ha bụ ndị ọkụ azụ.
17 And Jesus said to them, Come you after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.
Jisọs siri ha, “Bịanụ soro m, m ga-emekwa unu ndị ọkụ na-akụta mmadụ.”
18 And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him.
19 And when he had gone a little farther there, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets.
Mgbe ọ gatụrụ nʼihu nke nta, ọ hụrụ Jemis nwa Zebedi na nwanne ya bụ Jọn ndị nọ nʼime ụgbọ mmiri, na-ekezi ụgbụ azụ ha.
20 And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him.
21 And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught.
22 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.
23 And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,
Ma nʼotu oge ahụ, otu nwoke nọ nʼime ụlọ ekpere ahụ nke mmụọ na-adịghị ọcha bi nʼime ya, tiri mkpu nʼoke olu,
24 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with you, you Jesus of Nazareth? are you come to destroy us? I know you who you are, the Holy One of God.
25 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold your peace, and come out of him.
Ma Jisọs baara ya mba sị ya, “Mechie ọnụ sikwa nʼime ya pụta!”
26 And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.
Mmụọ ahụ na-adịghị ọcha seere ya, mee ka ahụ ya maa jijiji, o tiri mkpu nʼoke olu, ma sikwa nʼime ya pụta.
27 And they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commands he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.
28 And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee.
Akụkọ banyere ya gbasara ngwangwa ruo akụkụ niile nke Galili.
29 And immediately, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
Ngwangwa ha hapụrụ ụlọ ekpere ahụ, ha na Jemis na Jọn soro banye nʼụlọ Saimọn na Andru.
30 But Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick of a fever, and immediately they tell him of her.
Nʼoge a, nne nwunye Saimọn dina nʼakwa ndina. Ahụ ọkụ jikwa ya. Ha mere ka ọ mata banyere ya.
31 And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered to them.
Ọ gakwuru ya, jide ya nʼaka selite ya elu. Ahụ ọkụ ahụ hapụrụ ya. Ọ malitekwara ile ha ọbịa.
32 And at even, when the sun did set, they brought to him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.
Nʼoge uhuruchi, mgbe anwụ dara, ha kpọtaara ya ndị niile ahụ na-esighị ike na ndị mmụọ ọjọọ bi nʼime ha.
33 And all the city was gathered together at the door.
Obodo ahụ niile gbakọrọ nʼọnụ ụzọ.
34 And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.
Ọ gwọrọ ọtụtụ ndị bu ọrịa dị iche iche, ọ chụpụkwara ọtụtụ mmụọ ọjọọ ma o kweghị ka mmụọ ọjọọ ndị ahụ kwuo okwu nʼihi na ha matara onye ọ bụ.
35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
Nʼisi ụtụtụ, mgbe ọchịchịrị ka gbachiri, o biliri, ga ebe ọ ga-anọrọ onwe ya, naanị ya. Nʼebe ahụ kwa ka ọ nọ kpee ekpere.
36 And Simon and they that were with him followed after him.
37 And when they had found him, they said to him, All men seek for you.
38 And he said to them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth.
Ọ zaghachiri ha sị, “Ka anyị gaanụ ebe ọzọ, nʼobodo ndị ọzọ dị anyị gburugburu, ka m zisakwaara ha oziọma. Ọ bụ nʼihi nke a ka m ji bịa.”
39 And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils.
Ya mere, ọ pụrụ jegharịa na Galili niile na-ekwusa oziọma nʼụlọ ekpere ha niile, na-achụpụkwa mmụọ ọjọọ.
40 And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying to him, If you will, you can make me clean.
Otu onye ekpenta bịakwutere ya gbuo ikpere nʼala rịọọ ya sị, “Ọ bụrụ na ị chọrọ, ị pụrụ ime ka m dị ọcha.”
41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and says to him, I will; be you clean.
Ebe o jupụtara nʼọmịiko, Jisọs setịpụrụ aka ya metụ ya sị, “Achọrọ m, dị ọcha!”
42 And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.
Ngwangwa ekpenta ya hapụrụ ya, e mekwara ka ọ dị ọcha.
43 And he straightly charged him, and immediately sent him away;
44 And says to him, See you say nothing to any man: but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.
ọ gwara ya sị, “Hụkwa na ọ dịghị onye ọbụla ị ga-agwa ihe a. Kama gaa gosi onye nchụaja onwe gị. Chụọkwa aja dị ka Mosis nyere nʼiwu, maka ime ka ị dị ọcha gị, ka ọ bụrụ ihe ama nye ha.”
45 But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.
Ma ọ pụrụ malite ịkọsa akụkọ banyere ọgwụgwọ ya ebe niile. Nʼihi ya Jisọs enwekwaghị ike ịbanye nʼobodo, kama ọ gara nọrọ nʼebe zoro ezo. Ma ndị mmadụ na-abịakwutekwa ya site nʼebe niile dị iche iche.
