Luke 17
1 Then said he to the disciples, It is impossible but that offenses will come: but woe to him, through whom they come!
౧ఆయన తన శిష్యులతో ఇలా అన్నాడు, “ఆటంకాలు రాకుండా ఉండడం అసాధ్యం. కానీ అవి ఎవరి వల్ల వస్తాయో అతని స్థితి ఎంత భయానకమో!
2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.
౨అలాంటి వ్యక్తి ఈ చిన్న బిడ్డల్లో ఎవరికైనా ఆటంకం కలగజేయడం కంటే అతడి మెడకు తిరగలి రాయి కట్టి సముద్రంలో పడవేయడం అతనికి మేలు.
3 Take heed to yourselves: If your brother trespass against you, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
౩మీ వరకూ మీరు జాగ్రత్తగా ఉండండి. అయితే మీ సోదరుడు అపరాధం చేస్తే అతణ్ణి మందలించండి. తన అపరాధం విషయమై అతడు పశ్చాత్తాప పడితే అతణ్ణి క్షమించండి.
4 And if he trespass against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to you, saying, I repent; you shall forgive him.
౪అతడు ఒకే రోజు మీకు వ్యతిరేకంగా ఏడు సార్లు అపరాధం చేసి అదే రోజు ఏడు సార్లు మీ దగ్గరికి వచ్చి, ‘పశ్చాత్తాప పడుతున్నాను’ అంటే మీరు అతణ్ణి క్షమించాలి.”
5 And the apostles said to the Lord, Increase our faith.
౫అప్పుడు అపొస్తలులు, “ప్రభూ, మా విశ్వాసాన్ని వృద్ధి చెయ్యి” అన్నారు.
6 And the Lord said, If you had faith as a grain of mustard seed, you might say to this sycamine tree, Be you plucked up by the root, and be you planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
౬ప్రభువు, “మీరు ఆవగింజంత విశ్వాసం గలవారైతే ఈ మారేడు చెట్టును చూసి, ‘నీవు వేళ్లతో సహా పెళ్లగించుకుని పోయి సముద్రంలో నాటుకు పో’ అంటే అది మీరు చెప్పినట్టు చేస్తుంది.
7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say to him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?
౭“మీలో ఎవరి సేవకుడైనా పొలంలో భూమి దున్నుతూనో, మందను మేపుతూనో ఉండి ఇంటికి వస్తే యజమాని ‘నువ్వు వెంటనే వచ్చి భోజనానికి కూర్చో’ అంటాడా? అనడు.
8 And will not rather say to him, Make ready with which I may sup, and gird yourself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward you shall eat and drink?
౮పైగా ‘నాకు భోజనం సిద్ధం చెయ్యి. తువ్వాలు కట్టుకుని నేను భోజనం చేసి ముగించే వరకూ నాకు సేవ చెయ్యి. ఆ తరువాత నువ్వు తినవచ్చు’ అంటాడు.
9 Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.
౯తాను ఆజ్ఞాపించిన పనులన్నీ ఆ పనివాడు చక్కగా చేశాడని యజమాని ‘నాపై దయ చూపించావు’ అని వాణ్ణి మెచ్చుకుంటాడా?
10 So likewise you, when you shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
౧౦అలాగే మీరు కూడా మీకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన పనులన్నీ చేసిన తరువాత ‘మేము ఏ యోగ్యతా లేని సేవకులం. మేము చేయాల్సిందే చేశాం’ అని చెప్పాలి.”
11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the middle of Samaria and Galilee.
౧౧ఆయన యెరూషలేముకు ప్రయాణమై దారిలో సమరయ, గలిలయ ప్రాంతాల గుండా వెళ్తూ
12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
౧౨ఒక గ్రామంలో ప్రవేశించాడు. అక్కడ కుష్టు రోగులు పదిమంది ఆయనకు ఎదురై దూరంగా నిలిచారు.
13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
౧౩“యేసూ, ప్రభూ, మాపై జాలి చూపు” అని గట్టిగా కేకలు వేశారు.
14 And when he saw them, he said to them, Go show yourselves to the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
౧౪ఆయన వారిని చూసి, “మీరు వెళ్ళి, యాజకులకు కనపడండి” అని చెప్పాడు. వారు వెళ్తుండగా కుష్టు రోగం నయమై శుద్ధులయ్యారు.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
౧౫వారిలో ఒకడు తన రోగం నయం కావడం చూసి
16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
౧౬బిగ్గరగా దేవుణ్ణి కీర్తిస్తూ, తిరిగి వచ్చి ఆయన పాదాల ముందు సాష్టాంగపడి ఆయనకు కృతజ్ఞతలు చెప్పాడు. వాడు సమరయ ప్రాంతం వాడు.
17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
౧౭అందుకు యేసు, “పది మంది శుద్ధులయ్యారు కదా, తక్కిన తొమ్మిది మంది ఏరీ?
18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
౧౮దేవుణ్ణి కీర్తించడానికి ఈ విదేశీయుడు తప్ప ఇంకెవ్వరూ కనబడక పోవడం ఏమిటి?” అన్నాడు.
19 And he said to him, Arise, go your way: your faith has made you whole.
౧౯“నువ్వు లేచి వెళ్ళు, నీ విశ్వాసం నిన్ను బాగు చేసింది” అని వాడితో చెప్పాడు.
20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God comes not with observation:
౨౦ఒకసారి పరిసయ్యులు, “దేవుని రాజ్యం ఎప్పుడు వస్తుంది” అని ఆయనను అడిగారు. దానికి ఆయన, “దేవుని రాజ్యం అందరికీ కనిపించేలా రాదు.
21 Neither shall they say, See here! or, see there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
౨౧ఎందుకంటే దేవుని రాజ్యం మీ మధ్యనే ఉంది. కాబట్టి దేవుని రాజ్యం ఇదిగో ఇక్కడ ఉంది, అదిగో అక్కడ ఉంది అని చెప్పడానికి కుదరదు” అని వారికి జవాబిచ్చాడు.
22 And he said to the disciples, The days will come, when you shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and you shall not see it.
౨౨ఇంకా ఆయన తన శిష్యులతో ఇలా అన్నాడు, “మనుష్య కుమారుడి రోజుల్లో ఒక రోజును చూడాలని మీరు ఎంతగానో కోరుకునే సమయం వస్తుంది. కానీ మీరు ఆ రోజును చూడరు.
23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.
౨౩వారు, ‘ఇదిగో ఇక్కడుంది, అదిగో అక్కడుంది’ అంటారు. మీరు వెళ్ళవద్దు. అసలు వారిని అనుసరించవద్దు.
24 For as the lightning, that lightens out of the one part under heaven, shines to the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
౨౪ఆకాశంలో ఒక దిక్కున తళుక్కున మెరుపు మెరిసి ఆ వెలుగు మరో దిక్కు వరకూ ఎలా ప్రకాశిస్తుందో అలాగే ఆ రోజున మనుష్య కుమారుడు కూడా ఉంటాడు.
25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.
౨౫అయితే దీనికి ముందుగా ఆయన అనేక హింసలు పొందాలి. ఈ తరం వారు ఆయనను పూర్తిగా నిరాకరించాలి.
26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
౨౬“నోవహు రోజుల్లో జరిగినట్టు గానే మనుష్య కుమారుడి రోజుల్లో కూడా జరుగుతుంది.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
౨౭నోవహు ఓడలోకి వెళ్ళిన రోజు వరకూ ప్రజలు తినడం తాగడం పెళ్ళిళ్ళకు ఇవ్వడం పుచ్చుకోవడం చేస్తూ ఉన్నారు. అప్పుడు జలప్రళయం వచ్చి అందర్నీ నాశనం చేసింది.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
౨౮లోతు రోజుల్లో జరిగినట్టుగా కూడా జరుగుతుంది. అప్పుడైతే ప్రజలు తింటూ తాగుతూ కొంటూ అమ్ముతూ నాట్లు వేస్తూ ఇళ్ళు కట్టుకుంటూ ఉన్నారు.
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
౨౯అయితే లోతు సొదొమ విడిచి వెళ్ళిన రోజునే ఆకాశం నుండి అగ్ని గంధకాలు కురిసి అందరూ నాశనం అయ్యారు.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
౩౦“అలాగే మనుష్య కుమారుడు ప్రత్యక్షమయ్యే రోజున కూడా జరుగుతుంది.
31 In that day, he which shall be on the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
౩౧ఆ రోజున మేడ మీద ఉండేవాడు ఇంట్లో సామాను తీసుకుపోవడం కోసం కిందకు దిగకూడదు. అలాగే పొలంలో పని చేస్తున్న వాడు ఇంటికి తిరిగి రాకూడదు.
32 Remember Lot’s wife.
౩౨లోతు భార్యను జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకోండి.
33 Whoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
౩౩తన ప్రాణాన్ని రక్షించుకోవాలనుకునేవాడు దాన్ని పోగొట్టుకుంటాడు. కానీ తన ప్రాణాన్ని పోగొట్టుకునేవాడు దాన్ని రక్షించుకుంటాడు.
34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
౩౪నేను చెప్పేదేమిటంటే ఆ రాత్రి ఒక మంచం మీద ఇద్దరు ఉంటే వారిలో ఒకరిని తీసుకుపోవడం, మరొకరిని విడిచి పెట్టడం జరుగుతుంది.
35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
౩౫ఇద్దరు స్త్రీలు తిరగలి విసరుతూ ఉంటారు. వారిలో ఒకామె వెళ్ళిపోవడం, మరొకామె ఉండిపోవడం జరుగుతుంది. ఇద్దరు పొలంలో పని చేస్తూ ఉంటారు. వారిలో ఒకడు వెళ్ళిపోతాడు. మరొకడు ఉండిపోతాడు.”
36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
౩౬అప్పుడు శిష్యులు, “ప్రభూ, ఇదంతా ఎక్కడ జరుగుతుంది” అని అడిగారు.
37 And they answered and said to him, Where, Lord? And he said to them, Wherever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
౩౭దానికి జవాబుగా ఆయన, “శవం ఎక్కడ ఉంటే రాబందులు అక్కడ పోగవుతాయి” అన్నాడు.
