Judges 6
1 And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.
| و بنی‌اسرائیل در نظر خداوند شرارت ورزیدند. پس خداوند ایشان را به‌دست مدیان هفت سال تسلیم نمود. | ۱ |
2 And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: and because of the Midianites the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains, and caves, and strong holds.
| و دست مدیان براسرائیل استیلا یافت، و به‌سبب مدیان بنی‌اسرائیل شکافها و مغاره‌ها و ملاذها را که درکوهها می‌باشند، برای خود ساختند. | ۲ |
3 And so it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them;
| و چون اسرائیل زراعت می‌کردند، مدیان و عمالیق وبنی مشرق آمده، بر ایشان هجوم می‌آوردند. | ۳ |
4 And they encamped against them, and destroyed the increase of the earth, till you come to Gaza, and left no sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor ox, nor ass.
| وبر ایشان اردو زده، محصول زمین را تا به غزه خراب کردند، و در اسرائیل آذوقه و گوسفند وگاو و الاغ باقی نگذاشتند. | ۴ |
5 For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came as grasshoppers for multitude; for both they and their camels were without number: and they entered into the land to destroy it.
| زیرا که ایشان بامواشی و خیمه های خود برآمده، مثل ملخ بی‌شمار بودند، و ایشان و شتران ایشان را حسابی نبود و به جهت خراب ساختن زمین داخل شدند. | ۵ |
6 And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried to the LORD.
| و چون اسرائیل به‌سبب مدیان بسیار ذلیل شدند، بنی‌اسرائیل نزد خداوند فریاد برآوردند. | ۶ |
7 And it came to pass, when the children of Israel cried to the LORD because of the Midianites,
| و واقع شد چون بنی‌اسرائیل از دست مدیان نزد خداوند استغاثه نمودند، | ۷ |
8 That the LORD sent a prophet to the children of Israel, which said to them, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you forth out of the house of bondage;
| که خداوند نبی‌ای برای بنی‌اسرائیل فرستاد، و او به ایشان گفت: «یهوه خدای اسرائیل چنین می‌گوید: من شما رااز مصر برآوردم و شما را از خانه بندگی بیرون آوردم، | ۸ |
9 And I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all that oppressed you, and drove them out from before you, and gave you their land;
| و شما را از دست مصریان و از دست جمیع ستمکاران شما رهایی دادم، و اینان را ازحضور شما بیرون کرده، زمین ایشان را به شمادادم. | ۹ |
10 And I said to you, I am the LORD your God; fear not the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell: but you have not obeyed my voice.
| و به شما گفتم، من، یهوه، خدای شماهستم. از خدایان اموریانی که در زمین ایشان ساکنید، مترسید لیکن آواز مرا نشنیدید.» | ۱۰ |
11 And there came an angel of the LORD, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained to Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the wine press, to hide it from the Midianites.
| و فرشته خداوند آمده، زیر درخت بلوطی که در عفره است که مال یوآش ابیعزری بود، نشست و پسرش جدعون گندم رادر چرخشت می‌کوبید تا آن را از مدیان پنهان کند. | ۱۱ |
12 And the angel of the LORD appeared to him, and said to him, The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor.
| پس فرشته خداوند بر او ظاهر شده، وی را گفت: «ای مرد زورآور، یهوه با تو است.» | ۱۲ |
13 And Gideon said to him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? but now the LORD has forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.
| جدعون وی راگفت: «آه‌ای خداوند من، اگر یهوه با ماست پس چرا این همه بر ما واقع شده است، و کجاست جمیع اعمال عجیب او که پدران ما برای ما ذکرکرده، و گفته‌اند که آیا خداوند ما را از مصر بیرون نیاورد، لیکن الان خداوند ما را ترک کرده، و به‌دست مدیان تسلیم نموده است.» | ۱۳ |
14 And the LORD looked on him, and said, Go in this your might, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent you?
| آنگاه یهوه بروی نظر کرده، گفت: «به این قوت خود برو واسرائیل را از دست مدیان رهایی ده، آیا من تو رانفرستادم.» | ۱۴ |
15 And he said to him, Oh my Lord, with which shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.
| او در جواب وی گفت: «آه‌ای خداوند چگونه اسرائیل را رهایی دهم، اینک خاندان من در منسی ذلیل تر از همه است و من درخانه پدرم کوچکترین هستم.» | ۱۵ |
16 And the LORD said to him, Surely I will be with you, and you shall smite the Midianites as one man.
| خداوند وی راگفت: «یقین من با تو خواهم بود و مدیان را مثل یک نفر شکست خواهی داد.» | ۱۶ |
17 And he said to him, If now I have found grace in your sight, then show me a sign that you talk with me.
| او وی را گفت: «اگر الان در نظر تو فیض یافتم، پس آیتی به من بنما که تو هستی آنکه با من حرف می‌زنی. | ۱۷ |
18 Depart not hence, I pray you, until I come to you, and bring forth my present, and set it before you. And he said, I will tarry until you come again.
| پس خواهش دارم که از اینجا نروی تا نزد تو برگردم، و هدیه خود را آورده، به حضور تو بگذرانم.» گفت: «من می‌مانم تا برگردی.» | ۱۸ |
19 And Gideon went in, and made ready a kid, and unleavened cakes of an ephah of flour: the flesh he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out to him under the oak, and presented it.
| پس جدعون رفت و بزغاله‌ای را باقرصهای نان فطیر از یک ایفه آرد نرم حاضرساخت، و گوشت را در سبدی و آب گوشت را درکاسه‌ای گذاشته، آن را نزد وی، زیر درخت بلوطآورد و پیش وی نهاد. | ۱۹ |
20 And the angel of God said to him, Take the flesh and the unleavened cakes, and lay them on this rock, and pour out the broth. And he did so.
| و فرشته خدا او را گفت: «گوشت و قرصهای فطیر را بردار و بر روی این صخره بگذار، و آب گوشت را بریز.» پس چنان کرد. | ۲۰ |
21 Then the angel of the LORD put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there rose up fire out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes. Then the angel of the LORD departed out of his sight.
| آنگاه فرشته خداوند نوک عصا را که دردستش بود، دراز کرده، گوشت و قرصهای فطیررا لمس نمود که آتش از صخره برآمده، گوشت وقرصهای فطیر را بلعید، و فرشته خداوند ازنظرش غایب شد. | ۲۱ |
22 And when Gideon perceived that he was an angel of the LORD, Gideon said, Alas, O LORD God! for because I have seen an angel of the LORD face to face.
| پس جدعون دانست که اوفرشته خداوند است. و جدعون گفت: «آه‌ای خداوند یهوه، چونکه فرشته خداوند را روبرودیدم.» | ۲۲ |
23 And the LORD said to him, Peace be to you; fear not: you shall not die.
| خداوند وی را گفت: «سلامتی بر توباد! مترس نخواهی مرد.» | ۲۳ |
24 Then Gideon built an altar there to the LORD, and called it Jehovahshalom: to this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.
| پس جدعون درآنجا برای خداوند مذبحی بنا کرد و آن را یهوه شالوم نامید که تا امروز در عفره ابیعزریان باقی است. | ۲۴ |
25 And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said to him, Take your father’s young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that your father has, and cut down the grove that is by it:
| و در آن شب، خداوند او را گفت: «گاو پدرخود، یعنی گاو دومین را که هفت ساله است بگیر، و مذبح بعل را که از آن پدرت است منهدم کن، وتمثال اشیره را که نزد آن است، قطع نما. | ۲۵ |
26 And build an altar to the LORD your God on the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which you shall cut down.
| وبرای یهوه، خدای خود، بر سر این قلعه مذبحی موافق رسم بنا کن، و گاو دومین را گرفته، با چوب اشیره که قطع کردی برای قربانی سوختنی بگذران.» | ۲۶ |
27 Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the LORD had said to him: and so it was, because he feared his father’s household, and the men of the city, that he could not do it by day, that he did it by night.
| پس جدعون ده نفر از نوکران خود رابرداشت و به نوعی که خداوند وی را گفته بود، عمل نمود، اما چونکه از خاندان پدر خود ومردان شهر می‌ترسید، این کار را در روز نتوانست کرد، پس آن را در شب کرد. | ۲۷ |
28 And when the men of the city arose early in the morning, behold, the altar of Baal was cast down, and the grove was cut down that was by it, and the second bullock was offered on the altar that was built.
| و چون مردمان شهر در صبح برخاستند، اینک مذبح بعل منهدم شده، و اشیره که در نزد آن بود، بریده، و گاو دومین بر مذبحی که ساخته شده بود، قربانی گشته. | ۲۸ |
29 And they said one to another, Who has done this thing? And when they inquired and asked, they said, Gideon the son of Joash has done this thing.
| پس به یکدیگر گفتند، کیست که این کار را کرده است، و چون دریافت وتفحص کردند، گفتند جدعون بن یوآش این کار راکرده است. | ۲۹ |
30 Then the men of the city said to Joash, Bring out your son, that he may die: because he has cast down the altar of Baal, and because he has cut down the grove that was by it.
| پس مردان شهر به یوآش گفتند: «پسر خود را بیرون بیاور تا بمیرد زیرا که مذبح بعل را منهدم ساخته، و اشیره را که نزد آن بود، بریده است.» | ۳۰ |
31 And Joash said to all that stood against him, Will you plead for Baal? will you save him? he that will plead for him, let him be put to death whilst it is yet morning: if he be a god, let him plead for himself, because one has cast down his altar.
| اما یوآش به همه کسانی که برضد او برخاسته بودند، گفت: «آیا شما برای بعل محاجه می‌کنید؟ و آیا شما او را می‌رهانید؟ هرکه برای او محاجه نماید همین صبح کشته شود، واگر او خداست، برای خود محاجه نماید چونکه کسی مذبح او را منهدم ساخته است. | ۳۱ |
32 Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal, saying, Let Baal plead against him, because he has thrown down his altar.
| پس درآن روز او را یربعل نامید و گفت: «بگذارید تا بعل با او محاجه نماید زیرا که مذبح او را منهدم ساخته است.» | ۳۲ |
33 Then all the Midianites and the Amalekites and the children of the east were gathered together, and went over, and pitched in the valley of Jezreel.
| آنگاه جمیع اهل مدیان و عمالیق وبنی مشرق با هم جمع شدند و عبور کرده، دروادی یزرعیل اردو زدند. | ۳۳ |
34 But the Spirit of the LORD came on Gideon, and he blew a trumpet; and Abiezer was gathered after him.
| و روح خداوندجدعون را ملبس ساخت، پس کرنا را نواخت واهل ابیعزر در عقب وی جمع شدند. | ۳۴ |
35 And he sent messengers throughout all Manasseh; who also was gathered after him: and he sent messengers to Asher, and to Zebulun, and to Naphtali; and they came up to meet them.
| ورسولان در تمامی منسی فرستاد که ایشان نیز درعقب وی جمع شدند و در اشیر و زبولون و نفتالی رسولان فرستاد و به استقبال ایشان برآمدند. | ۳۵ |
36 And Gideon said to God, If you will save Israel by my hand, as you have said,
| و جدعون به خدا گفت: «اگر اسرائیل رابرحسب سخن خود به‌دست من نجات خواهی داد، | ۳۶ |
37 Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry on all the earth beside, then shall I know that you will save Israel by my hand, as you have said.
| اینک من در خرمنگاه، پوست پشمینی می گذارم و اگر شبنم فقط بر پوست باشد و برتمامی زمین خشکی بود، خواهم دانست که اسرائیل را برحسب قول خود به‌دست من نجات خواهی داد.» | ۳۷ |
38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the fleece together, and wringed the dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water.
| و همچنین شد و بامدادان به زودی برخاسته، پوست را فشرد و کاسه‌ای پر ازآب شبنم از پوست بیفشرد. | ۳۸ |
39 And Gideon said to God, Let not your anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray you, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only on the fleece, and on all the ground let there be dew.
| و جدعون به خداگفت: «غضب تو بر من افروخته نشود و همین یک مرتبه خواهم گفت، یک دفعه دیگر فقط با پوست تجربه نمایم، این مرتبه پوست به تنهایی خشک باشد و بر تمامی زمین شبنم.» | ۳۹ |
40 And God did so that night: for it was dry on the fleece only, and there was dew on all the ground.
| و خدا در آن شب چنان کرد که بر پوست فقط، خشکی بود و برتمامی زمین شبنم. | ۴۰ |
