< Joshua 6 >

1 Now Jericho was straightly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in.
Tun Jericho mipite chun Israelte chu akichat jeh’un akhopiu kelkot chu akam chahkheh jengun ahi. Mi koimacha avadohsah pouvin lutjong alutsah pouvin ahi.
2 And the LORD said to Joshua, See, I have given into your hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valor.
Ahinlah Pakaiyin Joshua kommah, “Hiche khopi leh alengpau chuleh asepaiteu jouse jong nakhutna kapehdoh ahitai.
3 And you shall compass the city, all you men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shall you do six days.
Nangleh nasepai chengsetoh nigup sunga hi nisehleh khopihi khatvei naveldiu ahi.
4 And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns: and the seventh day you shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.
Thingkong masanga hi thempu sagi in kelchalki khatcheh akichoijuva kijotdiu ahi. Ni sagi channileh nanghon hiche khopihi sagivei naveldiu ahi.
5 And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.
Thempuhon kelchalki ho chu ahinmut mutnuleh mipiten na-o neichasun sunnuva sangtah'a nasapdiu ahi. Hiteng chuleh khopi kulpi chu chimlhading, hiteng chuleh mipiho chu khopi sunga chu nalhailutnuva nadelkhum jengdiu ahi,” ati.
6 And Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said to them, Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark of the LORD.
Hitichun Joshua in thempuho chu akoukhommin hiti hin aseipeh tai, “Pakai kitepna thingkong chu puuvinlang, thempu sagi chun kelchalki kichoi cheh’unlang mipi masanga khun kijotnun” ati.
7 And he said to the people, Pass on, and compass the city, and let him that is armed pass on before the ark of the LORD.
Hijouchun aman mipiho chu thu apen, “Khopi vella chun kijotnun, galmanchah kichoi chengse chu Pakai thingkong masanga cheuhenlang mipichu lamkai juhen,” ati.
8 And it came to pass, when Joshua had spoken to the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams’ horns passed on before the LORD, and blew with the trumpets: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD followed them.
Joshua’n mipiho komma thu anaseijouchun Thempu sagiho chun pengkul akichoi cheh’un Pakai masanga chun akijotnun pengkul ho chu amutnun ahi. Chuleh Pakai kitepna thingkong chu ajuijun ahi.
9 And the armed men went before the priests that blew with the trumpets, and the rear guard came after the ark, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets.
Galmanchah kichoi phabep chu pengkul kichoi thempuho masanga akijotnun, loikhatchu thingkong nunglanga akijotnun, thempuho chun pengkul chu amutjom jingun ahi.
10 And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, You shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall you shout.
Joshua’n thu ahinpen, “Koimachan kholhang samhih’un, paojong paopoh hih’un, keiman sammun kati tokah’in thu chengkhatcha jong nakammuva kon in gindohsah hih’un,” ati.
11 So the ark of the LORD compassed the city, going about it once: and they came into the camp, and lodged in the camp.
Hitichun Pakai thingkong chu apuuvin hiche nikho chun khatvei khopi chu avellun, chujouvin abonchauvin ngahmun chu ajonnun agageh’un ahi.
12 And Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of the LORD.
Ajingin Joshua chu jingkah matah’in akipatdoh’in ahileh thempuho jongchun Pakai thingkong chu apukitnun ahi.
13 And seven priests bearing seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark of the LORD went on continually, and blew with the trumpets: and the armed men went before them; but the rear guard came after the ark of the LORD, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets.
Thempu sagi hochun pengkul chu akichoi cheh’un Pakai thingkong masanga chun akijotnun, pengkul chu amutnun ahi. Avellin, galmanchah kichoi hochu pengkul kichoi thempu ho masangleh Pakai thingkong puho nung’ah akijotnun ahi. Hiche sungse hin thempuho chun pengkul chu amut mutjingun ahi.
14 And the second day they compassed the city once, and returned into the camp: so they did six days.
Anini channa’in jong amahon khopi chu avelkitnun chujouvin ngahmunna ahung kile kitnun ahi. Hitobang hin nigup sungse chun abollun ahi.
15 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and compassed the city after the same manner seven times: only on that day they compassed the city seven times.
Ni sagi channa’in Israelte chu khovahlhah’in akipatdoh’un tumasanga abol bang bangun khopi chu avel kitnun ahi. Ahin tuchung ahin khopi chu sagivei avellun ahi.
16 And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, Shout; for the LORD has given you the city.
Sagivei aveljouvun thempuhon pengkul thongjen junnin ahin mutphat uchun Joshua’n mipiho chu thu ahinpen, “Kholhang sammun! Pakaiyin hiche khopi hi nepeh’u ahitai!
17 And the city shall be accursed, even it, and all that are therein, to the LORD: only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.
Jericho khopi leh asunga umjouse hi Pakaiyin asuhmang sohkei ding ahitai: Rahab kijohnu leh ainsung mite jouse chu kihing hoiding ahi, ajeh chu amanun gamvelhi’a kibol hochu ana hoidoh sah’in ahi.
18 And you, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest you make yourselves accursed, when you take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.
Suhmang dinga um thilho chu khatcha suloh hihbeh’un, achutilouleh nangho jong nakisuhmang tha dingu ahi, chuleh Israel ngahmunna hi hamsetna nahin lhutkhumlo diu ahi.
19 But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated to the LORD: they shall come into the treasury of the LORD.
Amavang dangka le sana, chule thih le sum-eng’a kisem thilho chu Pakaija atheng ahin hicheho chu Pakai sumkholna a lutding ahi,” tin thupeh ana neitai.
20 So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.
Mipiho chun pengkul kimutgin chu ajahphatnun a-ou neichasunnun asammun ahileh Jericho kulpi chu achimlha jengin ahi. Hiche phat chun Israelten khopi sungchu anokhummun alatauve.
21 And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword.
Amahon khopi sunga umho jouse, numei pasal, ateh akhang, bong, kelngoi, kelcha chuleh sangan abonchan asumang sohkeijun ahi.
22 But Joshua had said to the two men that had spied out the country, Go into the harlot’s house, and bring out there the woman, and all that she has, as you swore to her.
Hichun Joshua’n gamvelhia cheteni komma chun, nakitepna lhon dungjuijin akijohnu innachun lutlhonnin lang amanu le ainsung mite jouse chu gapuidoh lhonnin ati.
23 And the young men that were spies went in, and brought out Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brothers, and all that she had; and they brought out all her kindred, and left them without the camp of Israel.
Gamvelhia cheteni chu achelut lhonnin Rahab chu amatoh umkhom apale anu, asopiho le aisungmite jouse chutoh agapuidoh lhonnin ahi.
24 And they burnt the city with fire, and all that was therein: only the silver, and the gold, and the vessels of brass and of iron, they put into the treasury of the house of the LORD.
Hijouchun, Israelten khopi chu asunga umjouse toh ahallhauvin asumanghel tauvin ahi. Ahin sumle sana, chule sum-eng le thih-a kisem thilho vang chu Pakai sumkholna munnah akoijun ahi.
25 And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her father’s household, and all that she had; and she dwells in Israel even to this day; because she hid the messengers, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.
Hitichun Joshua’n Rahab kijohnu chu insunga aumkhopi ainsung mite jouse toh ahuhdoh’in ahi, ajeh chu aman Jericho velhi dinga asolteni chu anaseldoh’a ana hoidohsah lhon ahi.
26 And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the LORD, that rises up and builds this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it.
Hichun, Joshua’n Jericho khopi chu anagaosap’in, “Koi hileh hiche Jericho khopi sapha go chanchu Pakai sapset changhen, tungdohgoa chu acha masapen’in loulo hen, akelkot tungdohgoa chu achapa lhumpen chaanlo hen,” ati.
27 So the LORD was with Joshua; and his fame was noised throughout all the country.
Hitichun Pakaiyin Joshua chu anaumpin hijeh chun gamsung pumpia chun amin ana kithanglheh jeng tan ahi.
