< John 3 >
1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
Hanchu Phariseengei pâl kâra mi inkhat a riming Nicodemus Judangei ruoipu aoma.
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that you do, except God be with him.
Jân khat chu Jisua kôm a sea, a kôm, “Rabbi, Pathien juongtîr Minchupu ni ni ti kin riet. Pathien an chunga aom nônchu tutên nangma angin sininkhêlngei hih tho thei no ni ngei,” a tia.
3 Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Jisua'n, “Chongdiktak nang ki ril: tutu khom a suok nôk nônchu Pathien Rêngram mu thei no ni ngei,” tiin a thuona.
4 Nicodemus says to him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
Nicodemus'n a rekela, “Kho angin mo mi ulien a chang suo nûkin a suok nôk thei rang? A nû sûnga lûtin voinik suok thei no nih!” a tia.
5 Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Jisua'n, “Chongdiktak nang ki ril ani. Tukhom tui le Ratha'n a suok nôk nônchu Pathien Rêngram lût thei no nih.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Taksân ânzir kai chu taksa mi an nia, Ratha'n ânzir kai chu ratha mi an ni.
7 Marvel not that I said to you, You must be born again.
Nu suok nôk rang kêng ki ti hih kamâm aom ti no roh.
8 The wind blows where it wants, and you hear the sound thereof, but can not tell from where it comes, and where it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Phâivuo hih anuomna ti-tieng asêma; arahang khom ni riet, aniatachu khotieng renga hong mo, khotieng mo ase rang riet mak che. Ma angdên hah ani, tukhom Ratha'n a suok nôk nônchu,” a tipea.
9 Nicodemus answered and said to him, How can these things be?
Nicodemus'n, “Kho angin mo anithei ranga?” tiin a thuona.
10 Jesus answered and said to him, Are you a master of Israel, and know not these things?
Jisua'n a kôm, “Israelngei lâia minchupu lien ni nia, hima roi hih ni riet minthâr theiloi mini?
11 Truly, truly, I say to you, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and you receive not our witness.
Chongdiktak nang ki ril: kin ti hih kin riet ania, kin mu hih kin ril ani; hannoma, kin thurchi misîr tutên pom nuom mak chei.
12 If I have told you earthly things, and you believe not, how shall you believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
Rammuola neinunngei chungroi ki misîr luo nin iem nônchu; i angin mo invân neinunngei chungroi ki misîr hin nin iem thei ranga?
13 And no man has ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
Invân renga juong chumpu, Miriem Nâipasal tiloiin chu, tute invâna lei hong se sai la om mak ngei.”
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
Moses'n ramchâra sumdâr murûl a târ anghan Miriem Nâipasal khom târin a om ngêt rang ani,
15 That whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. (aiōnios )
masika han tukhom ama iem kai chu kumtuong ringna an dôn theina rangin. (aiōnios )
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (aiōnios )
Pathien'n rammuol a lungkham tatak sikin a Nâipasal khât a pêka, masika han tukhom ama iem kai chu thi loia kumtuong ringna an dôn theina rangin. (aiōnios )
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Pathien'n rammuol theiloi mintum rangin a Nâipasal juongtîr maka, rammuol sanminring rangin kêng a juongtîr ani.
18 He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Tukhom Nâipasal a iem kai chu theiloi intumin om no ni ngeia, tukhom a iem loi ngei chu atûn renga theiloi changin an om zoi, Pathien Nâikhât an iem loi sikin.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Mahi theiloi intumna chu ani: vâr ha rammuola ajuonga, aniatachu, mingeiin avâr nêkin ajîng an midit uola, an sinthongei hah asaloi sikin.
20 For every one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Tukhom sin saloi tho ngei nâmin chu avâr an henga, avâra hong ngâi mak ngei; asaloi an thongei hah minlang an nuom loi sikin.
21 But he that does truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are worked in God.
Aniatachu, adik sinpu ngeiin chu Pathien chongjômna sintho an ni ti avârin a minlang theina rangin avâra an hong ngâi.
22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.
Masuole chu, Jisua hah a ruoisingei leh Judea ramhuola an sea, mahan môrkhat an lâia omin baptis a thoa.
23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.
John khomin Aenon, Salim khuo kôla han mi a baptis ngâia, ma muna han tui atam sikin. Mingei a kôm an sea, male ama'n a lei baptis ngei ngâia.
24 For John was not yet cast into prison.
(Ma zora han John ha intângna ina la khum mak ngei.)
25 Then there arose a question between some of John’s disciples and the Jews about purifying.
Hanchu John ruoisi senkhatngei le Juda inkhat rusûk minsâina balam roia an inkhala.
26 And they came to John, and said to him, Rabbi, he that was with you beyond Jordan, to whom you bore witness, behold, the same baptizes, and all men come to him.
Masikin John kôm an sea, “Minchupu, Jordan râl nisuo tienga no kôma om, a chungroi ni misîr ngâi hah na la riet mo? Asa, atûnhin, ama'n mi a baptis'a mi murdi ama tieng kêng an se suo zoi!” an tia.
27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
John'n a thuona, “Miriemin ite dôn mak me, Pathien'n a pêk ani nônchu.
28 You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.
‘Keima hi Messiah ni mu-ung, aniatachu, a motona tîr ki ni’ ti hih nangni ngei reng hi ki rietpuipu nin ni.
29 He that has the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
Moi puma chu mâkpa hah ani; hannirese mâkpa mal, a kôla ândinga a he a rangâichaka, a rôl a rietin chu a râisân tatak ngâi. Ma angdên han ka râisâna mikhipin aom ani.
30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
Ama chu a hôn lal tetet ngêt rang ania, keima chu ko hôn tem tetet rang ani.”
31 He that comes from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaks of the earth: he that comes from heaven is above all.
Chung tieng renga juongpu chu mi murdi nêka ânchungtak ani. Pila inzir chu pilchung mi ani, pilchung roi a misîr ngâi, hannirese, invân renga juongpu chu mi murdi nêka an chungtak ani.
32 And what he has seen and heard, that he testifies; and no man receives his testimony.
A mu le a riet ngei a misîra, hannoma, tutên a thurchi misîr pom mak ngei.
33 He that has received his testimony has set to his seal that God is true.
Aniatachu, a thurchi misîr a pom kai chu Pathien chu mi diktak ani ti a nammindet ani.
34 For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God: for God gives not the Spirit by measure to him.
Pathien tîrpu'n chu Pathien chong a misîr ngâi, Pathien'n ama Ratha akipin a pêk sikin.
35 The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand.
Pa'n a Nâipasal a lungkham ngâia, neinunngei murdia a racham nuoia a dar let zoi.
36 He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God stays on him. (aiōnios )
Tukhom Nâipasal a iem kaiin chu kumtuong ringna an dôn zoi; tukhom Nâipasal chongjômloi chu ringna dôn no ni ngeia, Pathien dûkmintongna nuoia kêng an om rang. (aiōnios )
