< Job 35 >
1 Elihu spoke moreover, and said,
Afei, Elihu kae se:
2 Think you this to be right, that you said, My righteousness is more than God’s?
“Wugye di sɛ, eyi fata? Woka se, ‘Onyankopɔn betwitwa agye me.’
3 For you said, What advantage will it be to you? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?
Nanso wubisa no se, ‘Mfaso bɛn na menya, na sɛ manyɛ bɔne a, mfaso bɛn na menya?’
4 I will answer you, and your companions with you.
“Mepɛ sɛ mibua wo ne wo nnamfonom nyinaa.
5 Look to the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than you.
Ma wʼani so kyerɛ soro na hwɛ; hwɛ omununkum a ɛwɔ wʼatifi sorosoro nohɔ.
6 If you sin, what do you against him? or if your transgressions be multiplied, what do you to him?
Sɛ woyɛ bɔne a, ɔkwan bɛn so na ɛfa haw no? Mpo sɛ wo bɔne dɔɔso a, nsunsuanso bɛn na enya wɔ ne so?
7 If you be righteous, what give you him? or what receives he of your hand?
Sɛ woteɛ a, dɛn na wode ma no anaasɛ dɛn na onya fi wo nsam?
8 Your wickedness may hurt a man as you are; and your righteousness may profit the son of man.
Wʼamumɔyɛ ka onipa a ɔte sɛ wo na wo trenee ka nnipa mma nko ara.
9 By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.
“Nnipa su bere a wɔhyɛ wɔn so; na wɔsrɛ mmoa fi nea ɔwɔ tumi nsam.
10 But none says, Where is God my maker, who gives songs in the night;
Nanso obi mmisa se, ‘Ɛhe na Onyankopɔn, me Yɛfo no wɔ, nea ɔma nnwom anadwo no,
11 Who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth, and makes us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
nea ɔkyerɛ yɛn nimdeɛ bebree sen asase so mmoa na ɔma yehu nyansa sen wim nnomaa no?’
12 There they cry, but none gives answer, because of the pride of evil men.
Sɛ nnipa su teɛ mu a, ommua, amumɔyɛfo ahantan nti.
13 Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
Ampa ara Onyankopɔn rentie wɔn nkotosrɛ hunu no; na Otumfo remmu.
14 Although you say you shall not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust you in him.
Ɛno de adɛn na ɔrentie bere a woka se wunhu no, na woka se wʼasɛm wɔ nʼanim enti ɛsɛ sɛ wotwɛn no,
15 But now, because it is not so, he has visited in his anger; yet he knows it not in great extremity:
na bio, nʼabufuw mmfa asotwe mma na nʼani nni amumɔyɛsɛm akyi pii?
16 Therefore does Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplies words without knowledge.
Enti Hiob bue nʼano ka nsɛnhunu; nimdeɛ a onni nti, ɔkeka nsɛm bebree.”
