Job 32
1 So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
Así que estos tres hombres no dieron más respuestas a Job, porque él parecía tener razón.
2 Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.
Y Eliu, el hijo de Baraquel el Buzita, de la familia de Ram, estaba enojado, ardiendo de ira contra Job, porque se parecía a sí mismo más justo que Dios;
3 Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.
Y estaba enojado con sus tres amigos, porque no habían podido darle una respuesta, y no habían dejado claro el pecado de Job.
4 Now Elihu had waited till Job had spoken, because they were elder than he.
Ahora Eliú había guardado silencio mientras Job estaba hablando, porque eran más viejos que él;
5 When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, then his wrath was kindled.
Y cuando Eliu vio que no había respuesta en la boca de los tres hombres, se enojó mucho.
6 And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and you are very old; why I was afraid, and dared not show you my opinion.
Y Eliú, el hijo de Baraquel el Buzita, respondió y dijo: Soy joven, y tú eres muy viejo, así que tenía miedo, y evité poner mi conocimiento delante de ti.
7 I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.
Me dije a mí mismo: que los días hablarán y que muestren su sabiduría los muchos en años.
8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty gives them understanding.
Pero en verdad es el espíritu del Todopoderoso en el hombre, lo que les da conocimiento.
9 Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.
No son los viejos los que son sabios, y los que están llenos de años no tienen el conocimiento de lo que es correcto.
10 Therefore I said, Listen to me; I also will show my opinion.
Por eso digo: “Escúchame, y expondré mi conocimiento”.
11 Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons, whilst you searched out what to say.
Esperaba tus palabras, escuchaba tus sabios dichos; mientras estabas buscando qué decir,
12 Yes, I attended to you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced Job, or that answered his words:
Estaba tomando nota; y verdaderamente ninguno de ustedes pudo aclarar el error de Job, o dar una respuesta a sus palabras.
13 Lest you should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusts him down, not man.
Cuida de no decir: Hemos encontrado la sabiduría; Dios puede vencerlo, pero no el hombre.
14 Now he has not directed his words against me: neither will I answer him with your speeches.
No propondré palabras como éstas, ni haré uso de tus palabras para responderle.
15 They were amazed, they answered no more: they left off speaking.
El miedo los ha vencido, no tienen más respuestas que dar; Han llegado a su fin.
16 When I had waited, (for they spoke not, but stood still, and answered no more; )
¿Y voy a seguir esperando mientras no tienen nada que decir? ¿Mientras se callan y no dan más respuestas?
17 I said, I will answer also my part, I also will show my opinion.
Daré mi respuesta; Voy a presentar mis conocimientos.
18 For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constrains me.
Porque estoy lleno de palabras, el espíritu dentro de mi me constriñe.
19 Behold, my belly is as wine which has no vent; it is ready to burst like new bottles.
Mi estómago es como el vino que no puede salir; Como las pieles llenas de vino nuevo, casi se rompe.
20 I will speak, that I may be refreshed: I will open my lips and answer.
Déjame decir lo que tengo en mente, para que pueda consolarme; Déjame contestar con la boca abierta.
21 Let me not, I pray you, accept any man’s person, neither let me give flattering titles to man.
No permitas que respete a ningún hombre, o que le dé nombres de honor a ningún ser vivo.
22 For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away.
Porque no puedo dar nombres de honor a ningún hombre; y si lo hiciera, mi Creador me llevaría rápidamente.
