< Jeremiah 43 >
1 And it came to pass, that when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking to all the people all the words of the LORD their God, for which the LORD their God had sent him to them, even all these words,
Nígbà tí Jeremiah parí sísọ ọ̀rọ̀ tí Olúwa Ọlọ́run rán an sí wọn tan.
2 Then spoke Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men, saying to Jeremiah, You speak falsely: the LORD our God has not sent you to say, Go not into Egypt to sojourn there:
Asariah ọmọ Hoṣaiah àti Johanani ọmọ Karea, àti gbogbo àwọn agbéraga ọkùnrin sọ fún Jeremiah pé, “Ìwọ ń pa irọ́! Olúwa Ọlọ́run wa kò rán ọ láti sọ pé, ‘Ẹ má lọ sí Ejibiti láti ṣàtìpó níbẹ̀.’
3 But Baruch the son of Neriah sets you on against us, for to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they might put us to death, and carry us away captives into Babylon.
Ṣùgbọ́n Baruku, ọmọ Neriah, ni ó fi ọ̀rọ̀ sí ọ lẹ́nu sí wa, láti fà wá lé àwọn ará Babeli lọ́wọ́, láti pa wá àti láti kó wa ní ìgbèkùn lọ sí Babeli.”
4 So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, obeyed not the voice of the LORD, to dwell in the land of Judah.
Nítorí náà, Johanani ti Karea àti gbogbo àwọn olórí ogun, àti gbogbo àwọn ènìyàn tàpá sí àṣẹ Olúwa nípa dídúró sí Juda.
5 But Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took all the remnant of Judah, that were returned from all nations, where they had been driven, to dwell in the land of Judah;
Dípò bẹ́ẹ̀, Johanani ọmọ Karea àti gbogbo àwọn olórí ogun sì ko àwọn àjẹkù Juda tí wọ́n wá láti gbé ilẹ̀ Juda láti orílẹ̀-èdè gbogbo tí wọ́n ti tú wọn ká.
6 Even men, and women, and children, and the king’s daughters, and every person that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son of Neriah.
Wọ́n tún kó àwọn ọkùnrin, àwọn obìnrin àti àwọn ọmọdé, àti àwọn ọmọ ọba tí ó jẹ́ obìnrin èyí tí Nebusaradani balógun ẹ̀ṣọ́ ti fi sílẹ̀ pẹ̀lú Gedaliah ọmọ Ahikamu, ọmọ Ṣafani, àti Jeremiah wòlíì náà àti Baruku ọmọ Neriah.
7 So they came into the land of Egypt: for they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: thus came they even to Tahpanhes.
Nítorí náà, wọn wọ Ejibiti pẹ̀lú àìgbọ́ràn sí àṣẹ Olúwa, wọ́n sì lọ títí dé Tafanesi.
8 Then came the word of the LORD to Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying,
Ní Tafanesi ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tọ Jeremiah wá:
9 Take great stones in your hand, and hide them in the clay in the brick kiln, which is at the entry of Pharaoh’s house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah;
“Nígbà tí àwọn Júù ń wòye mú àwọn òkúta pẹ̀lú rẹ, kí o sì rì wọ́n mọ́ inú amọ̀ tí ó wà nínú bíríkì tí ó wà níbi pèpéle ẹnu-ọ̀nà ààfin Farao ní Tafanesi.
10 And say to them, Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will set his throne on these stones that I have hid; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them.
Báyìí kí o sì sọ fún wọn pé, ‘Èyí ni ohun tí Olúwa àwọn ọmọ-ogun, Ọlọ́run Israẹli wí. Èmi yóò ránṣẹ́ sí ìránṣẹ́ mi Nebukadnessari ọba Babeli, Èmi yóò gbé ìjọba rẹ̀ ka orí àwọn òkúta; èyí tí mo ti rì sí ibí yìí, yóò tan ìjọba rẹ̀ jù wọ́n lọ.
11 And when he comes, he shall smite the land of Egypt, and deliver such as are for death to death; and such as are for captivity to captivity; and such as are for the sword to the sword.
Yóò gbé ogun sí Ejibiti; yóò mú ikú bá àwọn tí ó yan ikú; ìgbèkùn fún àwọn tí ó ti yan ìgbèkùn, àti idà fún àwọn tí ó yan idà.
12 And I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt; and he shall burn them, and carry them away captives: and he shall array himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepherd puts on his garment; and he shall go forth from there in peace.
Yóò dá, iná sun tẹmpili àwọn òrìṣà Ejibiti, yóò sun tẹmpili àwọn òrìṣà Ejibiti, yóò sì mú wọn lọ ìgbèkùn. Gẹ́gẹ́ bí olùṣọ́-àgùntàn, yóò ró aṣọ rẹ̀ mọ́ra, bẹ́ẹ̀ gẹ́gẹ́ ni yóò ró Ejibiti òun yóò sì lọ kúrò níbẹ̀ ní àlàáfíà.
13 He shall break also the images of Bethshemesh, that is in the land of Egypt; and the houses of the gods of the Egyptians shall he burn with fire.
