< Jeremiah 37 >

1 And king Zedekiah the son of Josiah reigned instead of Coniah the son of Jehoiakim, whom Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon made king in the land of Judah.
Josiah chapa Zedekiah chu Jehoiakim chapa Coniah khel in, Judahte lengin apangtai. Amahiabbylon lengpa Nebuchadnezzar in apansah ahi.
2 But neither he, nor his servants, nor the people of the land, did listen to the words of the LORD, which he spoke by the prophet Jeremiah.
Ahinlah, Zedekiah lengpa ahin, ama sohte ahiuvin chule gamsung mite ahiuvin, Pakaiyin Jeremiah mangcha-a thu ahinsei ho chu, ngai nahsah in aneipouve.
3 And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest to the prophet Jeremiah, saying, Pray now to the LORD our God for us.
Ahijeng vang chun, Zedekiah lengpan, Shelemiah chapa Jehucal leh Maaseiah chapa Zephaniah thempupa chu Jeremiah henga asol in, “Keiho din, Pakai i-Pathen’u henga, neitaopih un,” agatisah in ahi.
4 Now Jeremiah came in and went out among the people: for they had not put him into prison.
Hichepet a chun, Jeremiah jong songkul'a kihen loulai ahin, mipi lah’a anop nop in achele avahle nalaiye.
5 Then Pharaoh’s army was come forth out of Egypt: and when the Chaldeans that besieged Jerusalem heard tidings of them, they departed from Jerusalem.
Hichun, Pharaoh sepaite Egypt gam’a pat in, Judah gam lhanglam’a ahungdoh uve, tithu, Babylon sepaite, Jerusalem a kon’in akinung tol kittauve.
6 Then came the word of the LORD to the prophet Jeremiah saying,
Chujouvin, Pakai thusei Jeremiah heng ahunglhung in.
7 Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel; Thus shall you say to the king of Judah, that sent you to me to inquire of me; Behold, Pharaoh’s army, which is come forth to help you, shall return to Egypt into their own land.
Pakai Israel Pathen chun hitin aseiye: Judah lengpa chun, ipi hungsoh ding ham, tithu donga kahenga nahinsol ahi. Ama chu seipeh un, napanpi dinga hungkondoh Pharaoh sepaite chu, amaho chamtah a Egypt gam’a kilekit diu ahitai.
8 And the Chaldeans shall come again, and fight against this city, and take it, and burn it with fire.
Chuteng Babylon sepaite hung kinungle kitdiu, chule hiche khopihi alah uva meiya agovam diu ahi.
9 Thus says the LORD; Deceive not yourselves, saying, The Chaldeans shall surely depart from us: for they shall not depart.
Pakaiyin hitin aseiye; Nangho leh nangho kilhem lhauvin lang, Babylon mite sepia hochun, eihoa kon’a kitolmang kei ahitauve, tidauvin. Amaho akitolmang pouve.
10 For though you had smitten the whole army of the Chaldeans that fight against you, and there remained but wounded men among them, yet should they rise up every man in his tent, and burn this city with fire.
Ijeh inem itileh, nanghon Babylon sepaite chu apumpiuva najo heldiu hijongle, chule akisukha maha poho bou hing dohdiu hijongle, amaho chu hung kipan untin, hiche khopihi meiya agovam diu ahi, tin seipih in, ati.
11 And it came to pass, that when the army of the Chaldeans was broken up from Jerusalem for fear of Pharaoh’s army,
Pharaoh sepaite ahungkon uve, ti ajah phat un, Babylon mite sepaiho chun Jerusalem adalhauvin, akitoldoh tauve.
12 Then Jeremiah went forth out of Jerusalem to go into the land of Benjamin, to separate himself there in the middle of the people.
Chuin Jeremiah injong Jerusalem adalhan, asopite toh gou kihom’a ama chan kilah dingin, Benjamin gamsung ajontai.
13 And when he was in the gate of Benjamin, a captain of the ward was there, whose name was Irijah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Hananiah; and he took Jeremiah the prophet, saying, You fall away to the Chaldeans.
Ahinla, aman Benjaminkelkot phung ajotpa-a achepet in, kelkot ngahpan ama chu aman in; ajah’a, nanghi Babylon mite henga jamlut go nahim, atin ahentai. Hichea kotngah mimanpa chu Hananiah tupa Shelemiah chapa Irijah ahi.
14 Then said Jeremiah, It is false; I fall not away to the Chaldeans. But he listened not to him: so Irijah took Jeremiah, and brought him to the princes.
Ahinla Jeremiah in, “Neingohna chu jouthu ahibouve. Keiman hitobang chu kagel hih hel e,” ati. Ahivangin Irijah chun Jeremiah thusei chu angai pihpon, vaipo ho angsunga akailuttai.
15 Why the princes were wroth with Jeremiah, and smote him, and put him in prison in the house of Jonathan the scribe: for they had made that the prison.
Amahon Jeremiah chu havoh in avouvin, chujouvin lekhasunpa Jonathan insunga chun ahentauve. Jonathan in chu songkul'a asemdoh u ahitai.
16 When Jeremiah was entered into the dungeon, and into the cabins, and Jeremiah had remained there many days;
Chuin Jeremiah chu songkul'a akhum un, hichea chun nikho sotpi aumdentan ahitai.
17 Then Zedekiah the king sent, and took him out: and the king asked him secretly in his house, and said, Is there any word from the LORD? And Jeremiah said, There is: for, said he, you shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon.
Chujouvin Zedekiah lengpan, Jeremiah akouvin guhthim in mi asol in, agakou sah in, leng inpia akimupi in ahi. Hichun lengpan ajah’a, “Pakaiya kon’a thu hunglhung um am?” ati. Jeremiah in adonbut in, “Henge aum e. Nangma hi Babylon lengpa khut a kipedoh nahitai,” ati.
18 Moreover Jeremiah said to king Zedekiah, What have I offended against you, or against your servants, or against this people, that you have put me in prison?
Chuin Jeremiah in lengpa jah’a, “Keiman ipi adihlou kabol am? Ipi nang douna leh nalhachate douna chule mipite douna kabolkhah um am? Ibol a songkul’a neihen jeng ham?
19 Where are now your prophets which prophesied to you, saying, The king of Babylon shall not come against you, nor against this land?
Nahenga, Babylon lengpa sepaiten nangma douna leh hiche gamsung douna gal bl in, hungkon ponte, tia gaothu sei nathemgao ho chu, tua hoiya umgam’u hitam?
20 Therefore hear now, I pray you, O my lord the king: let my supplication, I pray you, be accepted before you; that you cause me not to return to the house of Jonathan the scribe, lest I die there.
Vo kapu lengpa, ngaitem in nakom’a katao ahi. Hiche songkul'a kisem Jonathan in-a khun, neisol kit hih beh in. Ajeh chu kache kitleh kathiden teitei ding, ati.
21 Then Zedekiah the king commanded that they should commit Jeremiah into the court of the prison, and that they should give him daily a piece of bread out of the bakers’ street, until all the bread in the city were spent. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.
Hijeh chun, Zedekiah lengpan thu apen, Jeremiah chu songkul'a solkit talouvin, leng inpi ngahpa insunga aumsah tauve. Chule lengpa thupeh bangin, khopi sunga changlhah abei kahsen, niseh in changlhah in avah’un, leng inpi in-ngahpa insunga chun ama jong aumdentai.
