Jeremiah 30
1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
সদাপ্রভুর কাছ থেকে এই বাক্য যিরমিয়ের কাছে উপস্থিত হল:
2 Thus speaks the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write you all the words that I have spoken to you in a book.
“সদাপ্রভু, ইস্রায়েলের ঈশ্বর এই কথা বলেন: ‘আমি তোমাকে যে সমস্ত কথা বলেছি, সেগুলি একটি পুস্তকে লিখে নাও।
3 For, see, the days come, says the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, said the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.
সেদিন আসন্ন,’ সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, ‘আমি যখন বন্দিদশা থেকে আমার প্রজা ইস্রায়েল ও যিহূদাকে ফিরিয়ে আনব এবং এই দেশে তাদের পুনরায় প্রতিষ্ঠা করব, যে দেশ আমি তাদের পূর্বপুরুষদের অধিকারের জন্য দিয়েছিলাম,’ সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন।”
4 And these are the words that the LORD spoke concerning Israel and concerning Judah.
ইস্রায়েল ও যিহূদা সম্পর্কে সদাপ্রভু এই সমস্ত কথা বললেন:
5 For thus says the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.
সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন: “‘ভয়ের চিৎকার শোনা যাচ্ছে, ভীষণ আতঙ্কের, শান্তির নয়।
6 Ask you now, and see whether a man does travail with child? why do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?
তোমরা জিজ্ঞাসা করে দেখো: কোনো পুরুষ কি সন্তান প্রসব করতে পারে? তাহলে কেন আমি প্রত্যেকজন শক্তিশালী পুরুষকে, পেটের উপরে তাদের হাত রাখতে দেখছি, যেমন কোনো প্রসবযন্ত্রণাগ্রস্ত নারী রেখে থাকে? প্রত্যেকের মুখ যেন মৃত্যুভয়ে বিবর্ণ হয়ে গেছে।
7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble, but he shall be saved out of it.
সেদিন কত না ভয়ংকর হবে! তার সঙ্গে আর কোনো দিনের তুলনা করা যাবে না। এ হবে যাকোব কুলের জন্য এক সংকটের সময়, কিন্তু তাকে এর মধ্য থেকে উদ্ধার করা হবে।
8 For it shall come to pass in that day, says the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off your neck, and will burst your bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him:
“‘সেদিন,’ বাহিনীগণের সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, ‘আমি তাদের কাঁধের জোয়াল ভেঙে ফেলব এবং তাদের বাঁধন সব ছিঁড়ে ফেলব; বিদেশিরা আর তাদের দাসত্ব করাবে না।
9 But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up to them.
বরং, তারা তাদের ঈশ্বর সদাপ্রভুর এবং তাদের রাজা দাউদের সেবা করবে, যাঁকে আমি তাদের জন্য তুলে ধরব।
10 Therefore fear you not, O my servant Jacob, says the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, see, I will save you from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid.
“‘তাই, হে যাকোবের কুল, আমার দাস, তোমরা ভয় কোরো না; হে ইস্রায়েল কুল, তোমরা নিরাশ হোয়ো না,’ সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন। ‘আমি নিশ্চিতরূপে তোমার এক দূরবর্তী স্থান থেকে তোমাকে ও নির্বাসনের দেশ থেকে তোমার বংশধরদের রক্ষা করব। যাকোব পুনরায় শান্তি ও নিরাপত্তা লাভ করবে, আর কেউ তাদের ভয় দেখাবে না।
11 For I am with you, says the LORD, to save you: though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you, yet I will not make a full end of you: but I will correct you in measure, and will not leave you altogether unpunished.
আমি তোমার সঙ্গে আছি ও তোমাকে রক্ষা করব,’ সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন। ‘আমি যেসব দেশে তোমাকে নির্বাসিত করেছিলাম, যদিও আমি সেইসব জাতিকে সম্পূর্ণরূপে ধ্বংস করি, আমি তোমাকে সম্পূর্ণরূপে ধ্বংস করব না। আমি কেবলমাত্র ন্যায়পরায়ণতায় তোমার বিচার করব; আমি সম্পূর্ণরূপে তোমাকে অদণ্ডিত রাখব না।’
12 For thus says the LORD, Your bruise is incurable, and your wound is grievous.
“সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, “‘তোমার ক্ষত অনিরাময়যোগ্য, তোমার যন্ত্রণা নিরাময়ের ঊর্ধ্বে।
13 There is none to plead your cause, that you may be bound up: you have no healing medicines.
তোমার জন্য কেউ মিনতি করে না, তোমার ঘায়ের কোনো প্রতিকার নেই, তোমার জন্য কোনো রোগনিরাময় নেই।
14 All your lovers have forgotten you; they seek you not; for I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of your iniquity; because your sins were increased.
তোমার সব প্রেমিক তোমাকে ভুলে গেছে; তারা তোমার জন্য কোনো চিন্তা করে না। আমি তোমাকে শত্রুর মতো আঘাত করেছি এবং নিষ্ঠুর ব্যক্তির মতো তোমাকে শাস্তি দিয়েছি, কারণ তোমার অপরাধ অত্যন্ত বেশি তোমার পাপসকল অনেক।
15 Why cry you for your affliction? your sorrow is incurable for the multitude of your iniquity: because your sins were increased, I have done these things to you.
তোমার ক্ষতসকলের জন্য কেন কাঁদছ তোমার ব্যথার কোনো নিরাময় নেই? তোমার মহা অপরাধ ও বহু পাপের জন্য, আমি এই সমস্ত তোমার প্রতি করেছি।
16 Therefore all they that devour you shall be devoured; and all your adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil you shall be a spoil, and all that prey on you will I give for a prey.
“‘কিন্তু যারা তোমাকে গ্রাস করে, তাদের সবাইকে গ্রাস করা হবে; তোমার সব শত্রু নির্বাসিত হবে। যারা তোমাকে লুণ্ঠন করে, তাদের লুন্ঠিত করা হবে; যারা তোমার দ্রব্য হরণ করছে, তাদের দ্রব্যসকল আমিও হরণ করব।
17 For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the LORD; because they called you an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeks after.
কিন্তু তোমার স্বাস্থ্য আমি ফিরিয়ে দেব ও তোমার ক্ষতসকলের নিরাময় করব,’ সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, ‘কারণ তোমাকে জাতিভ্রষ্ট বলা হয়, সিয়োনের তত্ত্বাবধান কেউ করে না।’
18 Thus says the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have mercy on his dwelling places; and the city shall be built on her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.
“সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন: “‘আমি যাকোবের তাঁবুগুলি পুনঃপ্রতিষ্ঠিত করব এবং তার আবাসগুলির প্রতি মমতা করব; ধ্বংসস্তূপের মধ্য থেকে সেই নগর পুনর্নির্মিত হবে এবং রাজপ্রাসাদ পুনরায় যথাস্থানে নির্মিত হবে।
19 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
তাদের মধ্য থেকে উঠে আসবে ধন্যবাদের গান, আর শোনা যাবে আনন্দোল্লাসের স্বর। আমি তাদের সংখ্যা বৃদ্ধি করব, তাদের সংখ্যা হ্রাস হবে না; আমি তাদের সম্মান ফিরিয়ে দেব, তারা আর কখনও উপেক্ষিত হবে না।
20 Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.
তাদের ছেলেমেয়েরা পুরোনো দিনের মতো হবে, তাদের সমাজ আমার সামনে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হবে; আমি তাদের অত্যাচারীদের শাস্তি দেব।
21 And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the middle of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach to me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach to me? says the LORD.
তাদের নেতা তাদেরই মধ্যে একজন হবে; তাদের শাসক তাদেরই মধ্য থেকে উঠে আসবে। আমি তাকে কাছে ডেকে নেব, আর সে আমার কাছে আসবে, কারণ আমি না ডাকলে, কে সাহস করে আমার কাছে আসতে পারে?’ সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন।
22 And you shall be my people, and I will be your God.
‘তাই, তোমরা আমার প্রজা হবে, আর আমি তোমাদের ঈশ্বর হব।’”
23 Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goes forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain on the head of the wicked.
ওই দেখো সদাপ্রভুর ঝড়, তা ক্রোধে ফেটে পড়বে, এক তাড়িত ঝঞ্ঝা নেমে আসছে ঘুরে ঘুরে, তা আছড়ে পড়বে দুষ্টদের মাথায়।
24 The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he has done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days you shall consider it.
সদাপ্রভুর ভয়ংকর ক্রোধ ফিরে যাবে না, যতক্ষণ না তিনি তাঁর অন্তরের উদ্দেশ্য পূর্ণরূপে বাস্তবায়িত করেন। আগামী সময়ে তোমরা তা উপলব্ধি করবে।
