James 2
1 My brothers, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.

2 For if there come to your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
Wakaw ni ngʼato odonjo e chokruok maru korwako bangli mar dhahabu gi lewni mabeyo, to ngʼat moro modhier morwako lewni mokidhore okidhore bende odonjo kode.
3 And you have respect to him that wears the gay clothing, and say to him, Sit you here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand you there, or sit here under my footstool:
Kapo ni ngʼat morwakore gi lewni mabeyo ema umiyo luor, kuwachone niya, “Eri, kaw kom maberni ema ibedie,” to ngʼat modhier to unyiso niya, “In chungʼ chien kucha,” kata niya, “Bedi piny e lowo e tienda ka,”
4 Are you not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
donge mano nyiso ni useketo kiewo e dieru un uwegi, ka ubedo jongʼad bura ma pachgi richo?
5 Listen, my beloved brothers, Has not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he has promised to them that love him?
Winjuru wachni jowetena mageno: Donge Nyasaye oseyiero joma piny kwano ni odhier mondo obed joma omew e yie margi kendo mondo ocham mwandu mag pinyruoth mosesingo ni joma ohere?
6 But you have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?
Un to usechayo joma odhier! Donge gin jo-mwandu ema mayou giu kendo materou e ute mag ngʼado bura mondo okumu?
7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which you are called?
Donge gin ema gijaro Nying moluor mar Jal muyie kuome?
8 If you fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, You shall love your neighbor as yourself, you do well:
Ka en adier ni umako chik mondik e Muma niya, “Her wadu kaka iherori iwuon,” to utimo maber.
9 But if you have respect to persons, you commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
To ka udewo wangʼ ji to utimo richo kendo bura oseloyou kaka joketh chik.
10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
Nikech ka ngʼato orito chik duto to opodho e Chik moro achiel kende to odoko jaketho mana ka gima oketho chik duto.
11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if you commit no adultery, yet if you kill, you are become a transgressor of the law.
Nikech Jal mane owacho niya, “Kik iterri,” ema nowacho bende niya, “Kik ineki.” Kaponi ok iterri to nek to ineko to isedoko jaketh chik.
12 So speak you, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
Wuouru kendo timuru gik mutimo kaka joma ibiro ngʼadnigi bura gi Chik achielno mamiyo ji bedo thuolo,
13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that has showed no mercy; and mercy rejoices against judgment.
nikech nongʼad bura maonge kech ni ngʼato angʼata maonge kech. To kech loyo ngʼado bura.
14 What does it profit, my brothers, though a man say he has faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
Jowetena, ere konyruok ma ngʼato yudo ka owacho ni en gi yie to oonge gi tim? Bende yie machal kamano nyalo rese?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
Wakaw ane kaka ranyisi ni owadwa kata nyaminwa kuom Kristo moro wuotho duk kendo oonge gi chiemo monyalo chamo.
16 And one of you say to them, Depart in peace, be you warmed and filled; notwithstanding you give them not those things which are needful to the body; what does it profit?
Ka ngʼato achiel kuomu nyalo wachone niya, “Dhi gi kwe, Nyasaye mondo ogwedhi, kendo koyo kik chami, kendo ichiem maber,” to ok otimo gimoro mokonyo ngʼatni, to ere berne?
17 Even so faith, if it has not works, is dead, being alone.
Mano e kaka yie bende chalo: ka oonge gi tim to en yie motho.
18 Yes, a man may say, You have faith, and I have works: show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
To ngʼato nyalo wacho niya, “In to in-gi yie, to an to an-gi tim.” Ngʼat ma wuoyo kamano mondo onyisa ane yie ma en-go maonge tim, mondo eka anyise yie ma an-go kuom timbe ma atimo.
19 You believe that there is one God; you do well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

20 But will you know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son on the altar?
Donge Ibrahim kwarwa ne Nyasaye okwano kaka ngʼama kare kuom gima notimo kane ochiwo wuode ma Isaka ewi kendo mar misango.
22 See you how faith worked with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
Inyalo neno kaka yie mane en-go kod timne ne tiyo kaachiel, mi yiene nobedo kare chuth kuom gima notimo.
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which says, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed to him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
Omiyo Ndiko nochopo kare, mawacho niya, “Ibrahim noyie kuom Nyasaye, kendo mano nomiyo Nyasaye okwane kaka ngʼama kare.” Kuom mano, Ibrahim ne iluongo ni osiep Nyasaye.
24 You see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
Koro nenore malongʼo ni ngʼato doko ngʼat makare kuom gima otimo, to ok kuom yie kende.
25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
Kamano bende Rahab dhako mane jachode nokwan kaka ngʼama kare kuom gima notimo kane orwako jombetre kendo okonyogi tony gi yo machielo.
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
Mana kaka ringruok maonge muya otho, e kaka yie maonge tim bende otho.
