Habakkuk 1
1 The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see.
പ്രവാചകനായ ഹബക്കൂക്കിനു ലഭിച്ച അരുളപ്പാട്.
2 O LORD, how long shall I cry, and you will not hear! even cry out to you of violence, and you will not save!
യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ ഇനി എത്രകാലം സഹായത്തിനുവേണ്ടി നിലവിളിക്കണം, അങ്ങു ശ്രദ്ധിക്കാത്തതെന്തേ? അക്രമംനിമിത്തം ഞാൻ നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; അവിടന്നു രക്ഷിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.
3 Why do you show me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.
ഞാൻ അനീതി സഹിക്കാൻ അങ്ങ് അനുവദിക്കുന്നതെന്തേ? അവിടന്ന് അന്യായത്തെ സഹിക്കുന്നതെന്ത്? നാശവും അക്രമവും എന്റെ മുമ്പിലുണ്ട്; അവിടെ കലഹമുണ്ട്, ഭിന്നത വർധിക്കുന്നു.
4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment does never go forth: for the wicked does compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceeds.
ന്യായപ്രമാണം നിശ്ചലമായിരിക്കുന്നു, നീതി നിർവഹിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല. ദുഷ്ടർ നീതിയെ നിയന്ത്രിക്കുന്നു, അതിനാൽ നീതി വഴിവിട്ടുപോകുന്നു.
5 Behold you among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvelously: for I will work a work in your days which you will not believe, though it be told you.
“രാജ്യങ്ങളെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുനോക്കുക, ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെടുവിൻ. നിങ്ങളുടെ കാലത്തു ഞാൻ ഒരു കാര്യം ചെയ്യാൻപോകുന്നു, നിങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞാൽപോലും നിങ്ങൾ വിശ്വസിക്കാൻ കഴിയാത്ത ഒരു കാര്യംതന്നെ.
6 For, see, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwelling places that are not theirs.
ഉഗ്രന്മാരും സാഹസികരുമായ ബാബേൽജനതയെ ഞാൻ എഴുന്നേൽപ്പിക്കും. സ്വന്തമല്ലാത്ത അധിവാസസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ പിടിച്ചെടുക്കാൻ അവർ ഭൂമിയിലെങ്ങും വ്യാപിക്കുന്നു.
7 They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and their dignity shall proceed of themselves.
അവർ ഭയങ്കരന്മാരും ഉഗ്രന്മാരും ആകുന്നു; സ്വന്തം ഇഷ്ടമാണ് അവർക്കു നിയമം അവർ സ്വന്തം മാനംമാത്രം പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
8 Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hastens to eat.
അവരുടെ കുതിരകൾ പുള്ളിപ്പുലികളെക്കാൾ വേഗമുള്ളവ, സന്ധ്യക്കിറങ്ങുന്ന ചെന്നായ്ക്കളെക്കാൾ ക്രൂരതയുള്ളവ. അവരുടെ കുതിരപ്പട ഗർവത്തോടെ പോകുന്നു; അവരുടെ കുതിരച്ചേവകർ വിദൂരത്തുനിന്നു വരുന്നു. ഇരതേടുന്ന കഴുകനെപ്പോലെ അവർ പറക്കുന്നു,
9 They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand.
സംഹരിക്കുന്നതിനായി അവർ കൂടിവരുന്നു. അവരുടെ പടയണികൾ മരുഭൂമിയിലെ കാറ്റുപോലെ മുന്നോട്ടുപോകുന്നു, മണൽപോലെ ബന്ധിതരെ ശേഖരിക്കുന്നു.
10 And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn to them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it.
അവർ രാജാക്കന്മാരെ പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു. അധികാരികളെ പുച്ഛിക്കുന്നു. കോട്ടയുള്ള നഗരങ്ങൾ നോക്കി അവർ ചിരിക്കുന്നു. അവർ കോട്ടകളിൽ മൺപടികളുണ്ടാക്കി അവയെ പിടിച്ചടക്കുന്നു.
11 Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power to his god.
അവർ കാറ്റുപോലെ വീശി, കടന്നുപോകുന്നു— അവർ കുറ്റക്കാർ, സ്വന്തശക്തിയാണ് അവരുടെ ദൈവം.”
12 Are you not from everlasting, O LORD my God, my Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, you have ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, you have established them for correction.
യഹോവേ, അങ്ങ് ആദിമുതലുള്ളവനല്ലയോ? എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനേ, അങ്ങ് അമർത്യതയുള്ളവനല്ലോ. യഹോവേ, വിധി നടപ്പാക്കേണ്ടതിന് അങ്ങ് അവരെ നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ പാറയായുള്ളവനേ, ശിക്ഷ നടത്തേണ്ടതിന് അവിടന്ന് അവരെ നിയോഗിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
13 You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, and can not look on iniquity: why look you on them that deal treacherously, and hold your tongue when the wicked devours the man that is more righteous than he?
ദോഷം കണ്ടുകൂടാത്തവണ്ണം പരിശുദ്ധമായ കണ്ണുകൾ ഉള്ളവനാണല്ലോ അങ്ങ്; തെറ്റിനെ സഹിക്കുന്നവനുമല്ലല്ലോ. അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ അങ്ങ് ദ്രോഹികളെ സഹിക്കുന്നതെന്ത്? തങ്ങളെക്കാൾ നീതിമാന്മാരെ ദുഷ്ടർ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളയുമ്പോൾ അവിടന്നു നിശ്ശബ്ദനായിരിക്കുന്നതെന്ത്?
14 And make men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?
സമുദ്രത്തിലെ മത്സ്യംപോലെയും അധിപതിയില്ലാത്ത കടൽജീവികളെപ്പോലെയും അങ്ങു മനുഷ്യരെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
15 They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their drag: therefore they rejoice and are glad.
ദുഷ്ടശത്രു അവയെല്ലാം ചൂണ്ടലിട്ടു പിടിക്കുന്നു, അവൻ തന്റെ വലയിൽ അവയെ പിടിക്കുന്നു; തന്റെ കോരുവലയിൽ അവയെ ശേഖരിക്കുന്നു, അങ്ങനെ അവൻ അവയിൽ ആഹ്ലാദിച്ച് ആനന്ദിക്കുന്നു.
16 Therefore they sacrifice to their net, and burn incense to their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous.
അതുകൊണ്ട് അവൻ തന്റെ വലയ്ക്കും ബലിയർപ്പിക്കുന്നു കോരുവലയ്ക്കു ധൂപംകാട്ടുന്നു. തന്റെ വല മുഖാന്തരം അവൻ ആഡംബരത്തിൽ ജീവിക്കുകയും ഏറ്റവും രുചികരമായ ഭക്ഷണം ആസ്വദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
17 Shall they therefore empty their net, and not spare continually to slay the nations?
അവൻ എപ്പോഴും തന്റെ വല കുടയുകയും കരുണയില്ലാതെ രാജ്യങ്ങളെ നശിപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്യുമോ?
