Colossians 3

1 If you then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God.

你們既然與基督一同復活了，就該追求天上的事，在那裡有基督坐在天主的右邊。

2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

你們該思念天上的事不該思念地上的事，

3 For you are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

因為你們已經死了，你們的生命已與基督一同藏在天主內了；

4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall you also appear with him in glory.

當基督，我們的生命顯現時，那時你們也要與祂一同出現在光榮之中。

5 Mortify therefore your members which are on the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

為此，你們要致死屬於地上的妓體，致死淫亂、不潔、邪情、惡慾和無異於偶像崇拜的貪婪，

6 For which things’ sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience:

為了這一切，天主的義怒才降在悖逆之子身上；

7 In the which you also walked some time, when you lived in them.

當你們生活在其中時，你們也曾一度在其中行動過，

8 But now you also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

但是現在你們卻該戒絕這一切：忿怒、暴戾、惡意、詬罵和出於你們口中的穢言。

9 Lie not one to another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his deeds;

不要彼此說謊；你們原已脫去了舊人和它的作為，

10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

且穿上了新人，這新人既是照創造他者的肖像而更新，為獲得新知識的；

11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

這一點上，已沒有希臘人或猶太人，受割損的或末受割損的，野蠻人、叔提雅人、奴隸、自由人的分別，而只有是一切並在一切內的基督。

12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering;

為此，你們該如天主所揀選的，所愛的聖者，穿上憐憫的心腸、仁慈、謙卑、良善和含忍；

13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do you.

如某人對某人有什麼怨的事，要彼此擔待，互相寬恕；就如主怎麼寬恕了你們，你們也要怎麼寬恕人。

14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfection.

在這一切以上尤該有愛德，因為愛德是諸德的聯繫。

15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also you are called in one body; and be you thankful.

還要叫基督的平安，在你們心中作主；你們所以蒙召存於一個身體內，也是為此，所以你們該有感恩之心。

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

要讓基督的話充分地存在你們內，以各種智慧彼此教導規勸，以聖詠、詩詞和屬神的歌曲在你們的心內，懷著感恩之情，歌頌天主。

17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

你們無論做什麼，在言語上或行為上，一切都該因主耶穌的名而作，藉著祂感謝天主聖父。

18 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.

作妻子的，應該服從丈夫，如在主內所當行的。

19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.

作丈夫的，應該愛妻子，不要苦待她們。

20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing to the Lord.

作子女的，應該事事聽從父母，因為這是上主所喜悅的。

21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

作父母的，不要激怒你們的子女，免得他們灰心喪志。

22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eye-service, as men pleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God;

作奴隸的，應該事事聽從肉身的主人，且不要只當著眼前服事，像是取悅於人，而是要以誠心，出於敬畏主。

23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not to men;

你們無論做什麼，都要從心裏去做，如同是為主，而不是為人，

24 Knowing that of the Lord you shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for you serve the Lord Christ.

因為你們該知道，你們要由主領取產業作為報酬；你們服事主基督罷！

25 But he that does wrong shall receive for the wrong which he has done: and there is no respect of persons.

因為凡行不義的，必要得他所行不義的報應；天主決不看情面。
