Amos 7
1 Thus has the Lord GOD showed to me; and, behold, he formed grasshoppers in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth; and, see, it was the latter growth after the king’s mowings.
౧యెహోవా ప్రభువు నాకిది చూపించాడు. రాజుకు రావలసిన కోత తరువాత గడ్డి మళ్ళీ మొలిచినప్పుడు ఆయన మిడతల గుంపు పుట్టించాడు.
2 And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord GOD, forgive, I beseech you: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
౨అవి పచ్చికనంతా తినేసినప్పుడు నేనిలా అన్నాను. “యెహోవా ప్రభూ, దయచేసి క్షమించు. యాకోబు వంశం కొద్దిమందేగా. అది ఎలా నిలదొక్కుకుంటుంది”
3 The LORD repented for this: It shall not be, says the LORD.
౩దీని గురించి యెహోవా మనస్సు మార్చుకుని “అది జరగదు” అన్నాడు.
4 Thus has the Lord GOD showed to me: and, behold, the Lord GOD called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part.
౪యెహోవా ప్రభువు నాకిది చూపించాడు. శిక్షించడానికి యెహోవా ప్రభువు అగ్ని రప్పించాడు. అది భూమి కిందున్న అగాధ మహా జలాన్ని ఎండగొట్టి భూమిని కూడా మింగేసేదే.
5 Then said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech you: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.
౫అయితే నేనిలా అన్నాను. “యెహోవా ప్రభూ, యాకోబు వంశం కొద్దిమందేగా. అది ఎలా నిలదొక్కుకుంటుంది?”
6 The LORD repented for this: This also shall not be, says the Lord GOD.
౬దీని గురించి యెహోవా మనస్సు మార్చుకుని “అది కూడా జరగదు” అన్నాడు.
7 Thus he showed me: and, behold, the LORD stood on a wall made by a plumb line, with a plumb line in his hand.
౭ఆయన నాకిది చూపించాడు. చూడు, మట్టపు గుండు చేతిలో పట్టుకుని ప్రభువు గోడ పక్కన నిలబడ్డాడు.
8 And the LORD said to me, Amos, what see you? And I said, A plumb line. Then said the LORD, Behold, I will set a plumb line in the middle of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more:
౮యెహోవా నాతో ఇలా అన్నాడు. “ఆమోసూ, నువ్వేం చూస్తున్నావు?” “మట్టపు గుండు” అన్నాను. అప్పుడు ప్రభువు ఇలా అన్నాడు. “నా ప్రజలైన ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మధ్య నేను మట్టపు గుండు వేయబోతున్నాను. ఇక ఏమాత్రం నేను వాళ్ళను వదిలిపెట్టను.
9 And the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.
౯ఇస్సాకు వంశం వారి ఉన్నత స్థలాలు నాశనమవుతాయి. ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల ప్రతిష్ఠిత స్థలాలు పాడైపోతాయి. యరొబాము వంశానికి విరోధంగా కత్తి ఎత్తుతాను.”
10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos has conspired against you in the middle of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words.
౧౦అప్పుడు బేతేలు యాజకుడు అమజ్యా, ఇశ్రాయేలు రాజు యరొబాముకు ఇలా కబురు పంపాడు “ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మధ్య, ఆమోసు నీ మీద కుట్ర చేస్తున్నాడు. అతని మాటలు దేశం సహించలేదు.”
11 For thus Amos says, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land.
౧౧అప్పుడు ఆమోసు, యరొబాము కత్తితో చస్తాడు. ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు తప్పకుండా తమ దేశాన్నివిడిచి బందీలుగా వెళతారు అన్నాడు.
12 Also Amaziah said to Amos, O you seer, go, flee you away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there:
౧౨అమజ్యా ఆమోసుతో ఇట్లన్నాడు. “దీర్ఘదర్శీ, వెళ్ళిపో! యూదా దేశానికి పారిపో. అక్కడే ప్రవచించుకుంటూ పొట్ట పోసుకో.
13 But prophesy not again any more at Bethel: for it is the king’s chapel, and it is the king’s court.
౧౩బేతేలులో ఇంక ఎంత మాత్రం ప్రవచించవద్దు. రాజు నివసించే స్థలం, రాజభవనం ఇక్కడ ఉన్నాయి.”
14 Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet’s son; but I was an herdsman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit:
౧౪అందుకు ఆమోసు అమజ్యాతో ఇలా అన్నాడు. “నేను ప్రవక్తను కాదు, ప్రవక్త కొడుకును కూడా కాదు. నేను గొర్రెల కాపరిని. మేడి చెట్లు చూసుకుంటాను.
15 And the LORD took me as I followed the flock, and the LORD said to me, Go, prophesy to my people Israel.
౧౫అయితే, నేను నా మందలను కాస్తూ ఉంటే యెహోవా నన్ను పిలిచి, ‘నువ్వు వెళ్లి నా ప్రజలైన ఇశ్రాయేలు వారికి ప్రవచించు’ అన్నాడు.”
16 Now therefore hear you the word of the LORD: You say, Prophesy not against Israel, and drop not your word against the house of Isaac.
౧౬అందుచేత యెహోవా మాట వినండి. మీరిలా అంటున్నారు, ఇశ్రాయేలీయులను గురించి ప్రవచించవద్దు. ఇస్సాకు వంశానికి వ్యతిరేకంగా మాట జారవద్దు.
17 Therefore thus says the LORD; Your wife shall be an harlot in the city, and your sons and your daughters shall fall by the sword, and your land shall be divided by line; and you shall die in a polluted land: and Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his land.
౧౭యెహోవా చెప్పేదేమిటంటే, నీ భార్య పట్టణంలో వేశ్య అవుతుంది. నీ కొడుకులూ కూతుళ్ళు కత్తితో హతమౌతారు. శత్రువులు నీ భూమిని కొలిచి పంచుకుంటారు. నువ్వు అపవిత్ర దేశంలో ప్రాణం విడుస్తావు. కచ్చితంగా ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు తమ దేశం విడిచి బందీలవుతారు.
