< Acts 1 >

1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,
MAIN Teopiluj, i wiadar tapin kajoi duen meakan, me Iejuj kotin tapiadar, duen a wiawia o kaukawewe karoj,
2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments to the apostles whom he had chosen:
Lao lel ran en a peukedala mon a kotin kakalik on wanporon akan, me a kotin piladar ren Nen jaraui,
3 To whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
Me a pil kotin kajanjale on pein i ieiaj ki kilel melel toto murin a kalokolok o a pwara don irail ran paeijok o kapakaparokeki duen tiak en wein Kot.
4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, says he, you have heard of me.
A ni a kotikot re’rail, a kotin kakalikion irail, ren der kowei jan Ierujalem, a ren auiaui, inau en Jam lao pwaidar, me komail rona jan ia er.
5 For John truly baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
Pwe Ioanej wia paptaij ki pil, a komail pan paptaij kila Nen jaraui ni eu ran me koren.
6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, will you at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
Irail lao pokon penaer, rap kalelapok re a potoan on: Main, anjau wet re pan kotin kapure don Ijrael wei o?
7 And he said to them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father has put in his own power.
A kotin majani on irail: Menda re omail, en aja anjau de auer, me Jam okila nan pein a manaman?
8 But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come on you: and you shall be witnesses to me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the earth.
A komail pan ale manaman en Nen jaraui, me pan di po omail; komail ap pan ai jaunkadede kan nan Ierujalem, o ludaa pon o Jamaria, o lel won irepan jappa.
9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
A lao majanier mepukat, ap peukedalar ni ar kankakil, pali en dapok pali idandalar i jan mon maj arail.
10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
Ni ar kilekilan nanlan, ni anjaun a kotidala, kilan, ol riemen mi nan likau pwetepwet, kotikot re’rail.
11 Which also said, You men of Galilee, why stand you gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven.
Me pil majani: ol en Kalilaa komail, da me komail jarakidan nanlan? lel Iejuj, me peukedala nanlan jan komail, a pan kotin puredo, duen komail udialer a kotidalar.
12 Then returned they to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day’s journey.
Irail ap purelan lerujalem jan dol o, me ad a Oliwe, me koren ion lerujalem; a doo jan al en japat pot.
13 And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where stayed both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.
Irail lao kotilon on, ap kotidan nan pera poa, waja re kin kotikoteta, irail karoj: Petruj, o loanej, o Iakopuj, o anreaj, o Pilipuj, o Tomaj, o Partolomauj, o Matauj, o Iakopuj nain Alpiiuj, o Jimon Jelotej, o Iudaj ri en Iakopuj.
14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.
Mepukat karoj wiaki eu podidi on kapakap, li akai pil ian irail, o pil Maria in en Iejuj o ri a ol akan.
15 And in those days Peter stood up in the middle of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty, )
Ni ran oko Petruj ap uda nan pun en jaulan kan majani (irail me impan epukiriek)
16 Men and brothers, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spoke before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.
Ri ai kan, kijin likau en punala, me Nen jaraui kalokaia ki Dawid maj o iran Iudaj, me karedo, me jaikidi Iejuj oko.
17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.
Pwe a pil wadawad on kitail, er o aleer pwaij a dodok wet.
18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the middle, and all his bowels gushed out.
Nan ol men et pwaine kidar pwain en a japun jap eu, a ni a dikaudi, ap lop pajan o kananan kaped a ap poie jan.
19 And it was known to all the dwellers at Jerusalem; so as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.
Toun lerujalem karoj ajada met. Ari, jap o adanekila akeldama ni pein arail lokaia; iet wewe: Jap en nta.
20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his position as bishop let another take.
Pwe a intinidier nan puk en pjalm: Im a en lijelipinala o jolar, me pan kaujon lole, a amen me pan ale a koa.
21 Why of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,
Ari, amen jan ren ol akan, me poden ian kitail er, ni anjau me Kaun Iejuj kotikot re atail,
22 Beginning from the baptism of John, to that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.
Jan ni muein paptaij en loanej kokodo lel ni ran o, me a kotin peukada jan kitail er, pan ian kitail wiala jaunkadede en a kotin iajada.
23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.
Irail ari kileledi riamen: Iojep iei Parjapaj, me pil ad a Iojtoj o Matiaj.
24 And they prayed, and said, You, Lord, which know the hearts of all men, show whether of these two you have chosen,
Irail ap kapakap majani: Main, ir me kotin mani monion en amen amen, re kotin kajanjaleda, ij me re kotin pilada ren me riamen et,
25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.
Pwe i en ale pwaij a dodok wet o koa en wanporon, me Iudaj pupe jan, pwen kolan deu a.
26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell on Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
Irail ap kadoropwada. A doropwa ko on Matiaj; i ari ian wadawad on wanporon ekamen oko.
