< Acts 6 >
1 And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.
A TOUNPADAK kan lao totolar ni ran pukat men Krik kai ap lipaned on men Ipru, aki jota me apwali ar li odi kan ni ar dodok en ran akan.
2 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples to them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.
Ekriamen oko ap molipe pena tounpadak kan majani: A jota mau on, jen muei jan majan en Kot, pwen papa ni tepel.
3 Why, brothers, look you out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.
Ari ri (at) akan, rapaki jan nan pun omail ol ijimen, me kalok mau, me dir en Nen (jaraui) o lolekon, me jen kajapwiladan dok wet!
4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
A kit pan apapwalita kapakap o dodok pan majan o.
5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:
Pokon o ari peren kida kaparok pot et. Re ap piladar Jtepanuj, ol amen, me dir en pojon o Nen jaraui, pil Pilipuj, o Prokoruj, o Nikanor, o Timon, o Parmenaj, o Nikolauj, projelite jan Antiokien amen.
6 Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.
Re kidan irail mon wanporon akan. Re lao kapakaper ap kidan po’rail lim ar.
7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.
Majan en Kot ari pwaida kaualap, o tounpadak kan madan totolar nan lerujalem, o jamero toto pil ian lamalam o.
8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.
A Jtepanuj, me dir en pojon o kelail, ap wiadar manaman o kilel laud kai nan pun en aramaj akan.
9 Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen.
A akai me udar, me kijan jinakoke en Liperti o men Kirene, omen Alekjandrien, o men Jilijia, o Ajien akamai on Jtepanuj.
10 And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spoke.
A re jota kak palian en Jtepanuj a kupurokon o Nen o, me audeda i.
11 Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God.
Irail ari pwain on ol akai, pwen katiti: Je roner, me a lalaue mojej o Kot.
12 And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came on him, and caught him, and brought him to the council,
I rail pil kamakarada aramaj, o jaumaj akai, o jaunkawewe, re ap jaikidi i o koledi, re ap wa don i mod en kadeik o,
13 And set up false witnesses, which said, This man ceases not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law:
O kapwareda jaunkadede likam akai, me katitiki: Aramaj men et jota kin dukedi jan a lulaue waja jaraui et o kapun.
14 For we have heard him say, that this Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place, and shall change the customs which Moses delivered us.
Pwe je roner, me a katitiki, me Iejuj en Najaret pan kawela waja et o kawilianla lamalam kan, me Mojej kotiki on kitail er.
15 And all that sat in the council, looking steadfastly on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel.
A karoj, me ian mod on kapun o, kankakil i, kajauiada, me jilan a dueta jilan en tounlan amen.
