< 2 Thessalonians 3 >
1 Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
Naguo Ũhoro wa kũrigĩrĩria-rĩ, ariũ na aarĩ a Ithe witũ, nĩ atĩrĩ, tũhooyagĩrei nĩgeetha ũhoro wa Mwathani ũtheereme na ihenya, na ũkumagio, o ta ũrĩa ũkumagio nĩ inyuĩ.
2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.
Na ningĩ mũhooyage nĩgeetha tũhonokio kuuma kũrĩ andũ arĩa aaganu o na ooru, tondũ ti andũ othe metĩkĩtie.
3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and keep you from evil.
No Mwathani nĩmwĩhokeku, na nĩekũmwĩkĩra hinya na amũgitĩre kuuma kũrĩ ũrĩa mũũru.
4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that you both do and will do the things which we command you.
5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
6 Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother that walks disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
7 For yourselves know how you ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
Nĩgũkorwo inyuĩ nĩmũũĩ ũrĩa mwagĩrĩirwo nĩ kwĩgerekania na ithuĩ. Ithuĩ tũtiarĩ igũũta rĩrĩa twatũire na inyuĩ,
8 Neither did we eat any man’s bread for nothing; but worked with labor and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
o na tũtiigana kũrĩa irio cia mũndũ o na ũrĩkũ tũhũ. Handũ ha ũguo, twarutaga wĩra ũtukũ na mũthenya, tũkĩrutaga wĩra mũritũ na tũkenogagia nĩgeetha tũtigatuĩke mũrigo kũrĩ mũndũ o na ũrĩkũ wanyu.
9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample to you to follow us.
Twekaga ũguo, ti tondũ tũtiarĩ na kĩhooto gĩa kũheo ũteithio ta ũcio, no nĩgeetha tũtuĩke kĩonereria kĩanyu gĩa kwĩgerekania nakĩo.
10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
Nĩgũkorwo o na rĩrĩa twatũire hamwe na inyuĩ nĩtwamũheire watho ũyũ: “Mũndũ angĩaga kũruta wĩra, o na kũrĩa ndakarĩe.”
11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
Nĩtũiguaga amwe thĩinĩ wanyu nĩ igũũta, na matirĩ wĩra marutaga, no nĩmetoonyagĩrĩria maũndũ-inĩ ma andũ arĩa angĩ.
12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
13 But you, brothers, be not weary in well doing.
Naho ha ũhoro wanyu, inyuĩ ariũ na aarĩ a Ithe witũ-rĩ, mũtikanoge nĩ gwĩkaga wega.
14 And if any man obey not our word by this letter, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
Mũndũ o na ũrĩkũ angĩaga gwathĩkĩra ũrutani witũ ũrĩa ũrĩ thĩinĩ wa marũa maya-rĩ, mwĩhũgagei. Mũtikanagĩe ngwatanĩro nake, nĩgeetha aigue aconokete.
15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
No mũtikamũtue taarĩ thũ, no mũkaaniei ta mũrũ kana mwarĩ wa Ithe wanyu.
16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
Na rĩu-rĩ, Mwathani mwene thayũ aromũhe thayũ mahinda mothe na ikĩro-inĩ ciothe. Mwathani aroikara na inyuĩ inyuothe.
17 The salutation of Paul with my own hand, which is the token in every letter: so I write.
Niĩ Paũlũ nĩ niĩ ndandĩka ngeithi ici na guoko gwakwa mwene, na kĩu nĩkĩo kĩmenyithia gĩa gũkũũrana marũa makwa mothe. Ũguo nĩguo nyandĩkaga.
18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
