2 Samuel 11
1 And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem.
১পাছত বসন্তকাল আহিল, যি কালত ৰজাসকলে যুদ্ধলৈ যায়, এনে কালতেই দায়ূদে যোৱাবক, লগত তেওঁৰ দাসবোৰ আৰু গোটেই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সৈন্যসকলক পঠিয়ালে৷ তেওঁলোকে গৈ অম্মোনৰ সৈন্যসকলক বিনাশ কৰি ৰব্বা নগৰ অধিকাৰ কৰি ল’লে৷ কিন্তু দায়ুদ যিৰূচালেমতেই থাকিল।
2 And it came to pass in an evening, that David arose from off his bed, and walked on the roof of the king’s house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman was very beautiful to look on.
২পাছত এদিন সন্ধিয়া সময়ত, দায়ূদে শয্যাৰ পৰা উঠি তেওঁৰ ৰাজগৃহৰ চালৰ ওপৰত ঘূৰি ফুৰি আছিল৷ তাতে তাৰ পৰা চাই এগৰাকী মহিলাক গা ধুই থকা দেখিলে; মহিলা গৰাকী দেখিবলৈ অতি শুৱনি আছিল।
3 And David sent and inquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?
৩তেতিয়া কোনে এই মহিলা গৰাকীৰ বিষয়ে জানিব, তাৰ বুজ-বিচাৰ ল’বলৈ দায়ূদে মানুহ পঠিয়ালে৷ কোনো এজনে ক’লে, “তেওঁ ইলীয়ামৰ জীয়েক বৎচেবা আৰু হিত্তীয়া ঊৰিয়াৰ পত্নী জানো নহয়?”
4 And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in to him, and he lay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned to her house.
৪তেতিয়া দায়ূদে দূত পঠিয়াই তেওঁক অনোৱালে আৰু যেতিয়া তেওঁ দায়ূদৰ ওচৰলৈ আহিল, তেতিয়া দায়ূদে তেওঁৰ লগত শয়ন কৰিলে, কিয়নো সেই মহিলাই নিজ অশৌচৰ পৰা শুচি হৈছিল৷ তাৰ পাছত তাই নিজৰ ঘৰলৈ উভটি গ’ল।
5 And the woman conceived, and sent and told David, and said, I am with child.
৫পাছত সেই মহিলা গৰাকী গৰ্ভৱতী হোৱাত, তেওঁ মানুহ পঠিয়াই দায়ূদক এই বাতৰি দি ক’লে বোলে, “মই গৰ্ভৱতী হ’লো।”
6 And David sent to Joab, saying, Send me Uriah the Hittite. And Joab sent Uriah to David.
৬তেতিয়া দায়ূদে যোৱাবৰ ওচৰলৈ কৈ পঠিয়ালে বোলে, “হিত্তীয়া ঊৰিয়াক মোৰ ওচৰলৈ পঠিয়াই দিয়া।” তাতে যোৱাবে ঊৰিয়াক দায়ূদৰ ওচৰলৈ পঠিয়াই দিলে।
7 And when Uriah was come to him, David demanded of him how Joab did, and how the people did, and how the war prospered.
৭যেতিয়া ঊৰিয়া তেওঁৰ ওচৰলৈ আহিল, দায়ূদে তেওঁক যোৱাবৰ বিষয়ে, সৈন্যসকলৰ আৰু যুদ্ধৰ বাতৰি সুধিলে।
8 And David said to Uriah, Go down to your house, and wash your feet. And Uriah departed out of the king’s house, and there followed him a mess of meat from the king.
৮দায়ূদে ঊৰিয়াক ক’লে, “তুমি নিজ ঘৰলৈ যোৱা আৰু নিজৰ ভৰি ধুই পেলোৱা।” তাতে ঊৰিয়া ৰজাৰ ঘৰৰ পৰা ওলাই গ’ল আৰু তেওঁ ওলাই যোৱাৰ পাছত ৰজাই তেওঁলৈ এটি উপহাৰ দি পঠিয়ালে৷
9 But Uriah slept at the door of the king’s house with all the servants of his lord, and went not down to his house.
৯কিন্তু ঊৰিয়াই নিজ প্ৰভুৰ দাসবোৰৰ সৈতে ৰাজগৃহৰ দুৱাৰ-মুখতে শুই থাকিল, নিজৰ ঘৰলৈ বুলি আৰু নামি নগ’ল।
10 And when they had told David, saying, Uriah went not down to his house, David said to Uriah, Came you not from your journey? why then did you not go down to your house?
১০পাছত ঊৰিয়া নিজৰ ঘৰলৈ নোযোৱা কথা দায়ূদৰ আগত লোক সকলে জনোৱাত দায়ূদে উৰিয়াক ক’লে, “তুমি যাত্ৰা কৰি অহা নাই নে? তেন্তে নিজৰ ঘৰলৈ তুমি কিয় নগ’লা?”
11 And Uriah said to David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields; shall I then go into my house, to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife? as you live, and as your soul lives, I will not do this thing.
১১তাতে ঊৰিয়াই দায়ূদক ক’লে, “নিয়ম চন্দুকটি, ইস্ৰায়েলসকল আৰু যিহূদা তম্বুত বাস কৰি আছে আৰু মোৰ প্ৰভু যোৱাব আৰু মোৰ প্ৰভুৰ দাসবোৰ মুকলি পথাৰত ছাউনি পাতি আছে৷ তেন্তে মই জানো ভোজন-পান কৰিবলৈ আৰু পত্নীৰ সৈতে শয়ন কৰিবলৈ নিজৰ ঘৰলৈ যাব পাৰোঁ? আপোনাৰ জীৱনৰ আৰু আপোনাৰ জীয়া প্ৰাণৰ শপত, মই এনে কৰ্ম কৰিব নোৱাৰো।”
12 And David said to Uriah, Tarry here to day also, and to morrow I will let you depart. So Uriah stayed in Jerusalem that day, and the morrow.
১২তেতিয়া দায়ূদে ঊৰিয়াক ক’লে, “তুমি আজিও ইয়াতে থাকা, কাইলৈ মই তোমাক বিদায় দিম।” তাতে উৰিয়াই সেইদিনা আৰু তাৰ পাছ দিনাখনো যিৰূচালেমত থাকিল।
13 And when David had called him, he did eat and drink before him; and he made him drunk: and at even he went out to lie on his bed with the servants of his lord, but went not down to his house.
১৩আৰু দায়ূদে যেতিয়া তেওঁক নিমন্ত্ৰণ কৰিলে, তেওঁৰ সাক্ষাতে ভোজন পান কৰোঁৱাই তেওঁক মতলীয়া কৰালে৷ তথাপি তেওঁ সন্ধ্যাৰ সময়ত নিজ প্ৰভুৰ দাসবোৰৰ লগত নিজ শয্যাত শুবলৈ বাহিৰলৈ গ’ল; তেওঁ নিজৰ ঘৰলৈ নামি নগ’ল।
14 And it came to pass in the morning, that David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah.
১৪পাছত ৰাতিপুৱা দায়ূদে যোৱাবলৈ এখন পত্ৰ লিখিলে আৰু ঊৰিয়াৰ হাতত দি পঠিয়ালে।
15 And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set you Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire you from him, that he may be smitten, and die.
১৫দায়ূদে পত্ৰখনত ইয়াকে লিখিছিল বোলে, “তোমালোকে ঊৰিয়াক আটাইতকৈ প্ৰবল যুদ্ধৰ সন্মুখত ৰাখি থবা আৰু সি যেন আঘাত পাই মৰে সেই বাবে তোমালোক তাৰ পৰা পাছ হুঁহকি যাবা।”
16 And it came to pass, when Joab observed the city, that he assigned Uriah to a place where he knew that valiant men were.
১৬পাছত যোৱাবে নগৰ অৱৰোধ হোৱা সময়ত, যি ঠাইত আটাইতকৈ শক্তিশালী শত্ৰু আছে বুলি জানিছিল, সেই ঠাইতে ঊৰিয়াক হ’ল।
17 And the men of the city went out, and fought with Joab: and there fell some of the people of the servants of David; and Uriah the Hittite died also.
১৭পাছে নগৰত থকা লোকসকলে বাহিৰ ওলাই যোৱাবৰ সৈন্যসকলৰ লগত যুদ্ধ কৰাত, লোকসকলৰ মাজৰ অৰ্থাৎ দায়ূদৰ সৈন্যসকলৰ মাজৰ কিছুলোক পতিত হ’ল আৰু তাতে হিত্তীয়াৰ ঊৰিয়াৰো মৃত্যু হ’ল।
18 Then Joab sent and told David all the things concerning the war;
১৮যেতিয়া যোৱাবে দূত পঠিয়াই সেই যুদ্ধৰ সকলো বিৱৰণ দায়ূদক জনালে,
19 And charged the messenger, saying, When you have made an end of telling the matters of the war to the king,
১৯তেওঁ দূতক আজ্ঞা দি কৈছিল, বোলে, “তুমি ৰজাৰ আগত ৰণৰ আটাই বাতৰি কৈ এটোৱাৰ পাছত,
20 And if so be that the king’s wrath arise, and he say to you, Why approached you so near to the city when you did fight? knew you not that they would shoot from the wall?
২০যদি ৰজাই খং উঠি তোমাক কয়, তোমালোকে যুদ্ধ কৰোঁতে নগৰৰ গড়ৰ ইমান ওচৰ চাপি কিয় গৈছিলা? তেওঁলোকে গড়ৰ ওপৰৰ পৰা কাঁড় মাৰিব বুলি তোমালোকে নাজানিছিলা নে?
21 Who smote Abimelech the son of Jerubbesheth? did not a woman cast a piece of a millstone on him from the wall, that he died in Thebez? why went you near the wall? then say you, Your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also.
২১যিৰূব্বেচতৰৰ পুত্ৰ অবীমেৰকক কোনে বধ কৰিলে? এগৰাকী মহিলাই গড়ৰ ওপৰৰ পৰা জাঁত শিলৰ ওপৰৰ চলা তেওঁৰ ওপৰত পেলালে, যাতে তেওঁৰ মৃত্যু হয়, সেইদৰে তেওঁ তেবেচত নমৰিল নে? গতিকে তোমালোকে গড়ৰ ইমান ওচৰলৈ কিয় গৈছিলা? তেতিয়া তুমি নিশ্চয় কবা, ‘আপোনাৰ দাস হিত্তীয়াৰ ঊৰিয়াও মৰিল’৷”
22 So the messenger went, and came and showed David all that Joab had sent him for.
২২পাছে সেই দূতে গৈ দায়ূদৰ গুৰিত উপস্থিত হৈ, যোৱাবে কৈ পঠোৱা সকলো কথা তেওঁৰ আগত জনালে।
23 And the messenger said to David, Surely the men prevailed against us, and came out to us into the field, and we were on them even to the entering of the gate.
২৩সেই দূতে দায়ূদক ক’লে, “সেই শত্ৰুসকল আমাতকৈ পাচত আমাৰ বিৰুদ্ধে প্ৰবল হৈ পথাৰলৈ আমাৰ ওচৰলৈকে ওলাই আহিছিল; তেতিয়া আমি নগৰৰ দুৱাৰ-মুখলৈকে সিহঁতৰ পাছে পাছে খেদি গৈছিলোঁ৷
24 And the shooters shot from off the wall on your servants; and some of the king’s servants be dead, and your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also.
২৪কাঁড়মৰা লোকসকলে গড়ৰ ওপৰৰ পৰা আপোনাৰ দাসবোৰলৈ কাঁড় মাৰিলে; তাতে মহাৰাজৰ কেতবোৰ দাস মৰিল আৰু আপোনাৰ দাস হিত্তীয়াৰ ঊৰিয়াও মৰিল।”
25 Then David said to the messenger, Thus shall you say to Joab, Let not this thing displease you, for the sword devours one as well as another: make your battle more strong against the city, and overthrow it: and encourage you him.
২৫তেতিয়া দায়ূদে সেই দূতক ক’লে, “তুমি গৈ যোৱাবক এইদৰে ক’বা, ‘ইয়াত তুমি অসন্তোষ নকৰিবা কিয়নো তৰোৱালে যেনেকৈ এজনক, তেনেকৈ আনজনকো গ্ৰাস কৰে; তুমি নগৰৰ বিৰুদ্ধে আৰু ঘোৰ যুদ্ধ কৰি তাক উচ্ছন্ন কৰা। এইদৰে তেওঁক আশ্বাস দিবা।
26 And when the wife of Uriah heard that Uriah her husband was dead, she mourned for her husband.
২৬পাছে উৰিয়াৰ পত্নীয়ে নিজ স্বামী ঊৰিয়াৰ মৃত্যু-সম্বাদ পাই তেওঁ স্বামীৰ বাবে গভীৰ শোক কৰিলে।
27 And when the mourning was past, David sent and fetched her to his house, and she became his wife, and bore him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the LORD.
২৭পাছে শোকৰ দিন শেষ হোৱাত, দায়ূদে মানুহ পঠিয়াই তেওঁক নিজৰ ঘৰলৈ অনালে, তাতে তেওঁ তেওঁৰ পত্নী হৈ তেওঁলৈ এটি পুত্ৰ প্ৰসৱ কৰিলে৷ কিন্তু দায়ূদে কৰা সেইকৰ্মত যিহোৱাই অসন্তুষ্ট হ’ল।
