< 2 Kings 4 >

1 Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets to Elisha, saying, Your servant my husband is dead; and you know that your servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take to him my two sons to be slaves.
Nikhat hi themgao holah a khatpen ji ana hia meithai khat hi Elisha kom’ah ahungin ahung peng jah jingin, hitin aseiye, “Nangma noija na anatong kajipa chu athitai, aman Pakai agindan chu nangin nahet ahi. Ahinla tuhin sum kabatpa ahungin kacha teni hi soh a kai ding eigo tauvin ahi,” ati.
2 And Elisha said to her, What shall I do for you? tell me, what have you in the house? And she said, Your handmaid has not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.
Hichun Elisha amanu kom’a chun, “Ipi kabolpeh thei um am! Nainsung’a hi ipi naneijem neiseipeh in,” ati. Amanun jong adonbutin, “Olive thao theikhat tilou imacha adang kaneipoi,” ati.
3 Then he said, Go, borrow you vessels abroad of all your neighbors, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.
Elisha’n jong achutia ahileh “Na-insah na-inlhang hokom hihen, nagol napai hokom hijongleh belkeu namuthei chanin batnin galatan,” atin ahi.
4 And when you are come in, you shall shut the door on you and on your sons, and shall pour out into all those vessels, and you shall set aside that which is full.
“Chujouteng chule nachateni chutoh insungah lut unlang, kot kikha khum’un,” atin ahi. “Chutengleh Olive thaochu atheija kon chun bel keoho a chun sunglhauvin lang adim phatleh kaidohji jiuvin,” ati.
5 So she went from him, and shut the door on her and on her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.
Hichun amanun jong aseipeh bang bang chun aboltan ahi. Amanun belchu adim phat phatleh achatenin ahinpelut ji ji lhonin, hiti chun bel jouse chu adipsoh tauvin ahi.
6 And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said to her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.
Gangtah in Olive thaotwi akoina hojouse chu adim letset tan ahi! Amanun achateni kom’a chun, “Belkhat neihin pehbe lhonin,” atileh, “amanin aumtapoi!” atilhonin ahi. Hichun Olive thaojong chu abeitan ahi.
7 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay your debt, and live you and your children of the rest.
Amanun Pathen mipa kom’a chun thilsoh chu aseijin ahileh, aman amanu kom’a chun, “Tun Olive thao chu joh unlang Nebat’u chu sadoh tauvin chuleh nangle nachateni avalla chu nakivah theidiu ahi,” ati.
8 And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.
Nikhat hi Shunem khopi sunga chu Elisha agachen ahileh numei haotah khat anachengin, amanu chun ainna anne dingin akouvin ahi. Hichejou chun hilang chu ahopa channin hilai munna chun an nedingin aki-nga jin ahi.
9 And she said to her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passes by us continually.
Amanun ajipa kom’a chun, “Ven, hilanga ahung chanle hung kingajipa hi Pathen mitheng khat hitei din katahsan’e,
10 Let us make a little chamber, I pray you, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he comes to us, that he shall turn in thither.
Hijeh chun amading hin inchunga hin indan khat sem hitin lupna khat, dokhang khat, touna khat le thaomei khat koipeh hite,” ati. “Chutileh ahung komleh gehthei louding ahi” ati.
11 And it fell on a day, that he came thither, and he turned into the chamber, and lay there.
Nikhat hi Elisha chu Shunem in na chun ahung kile kit’in, ainchung danna chun akaltouvin akicholdotan ahi.
12 And he said to Gehazi his servant, Call this Shunammite. And when he had called her, she stood before him.
Aman asohpa Gehazi kom’a chun, “Hiche Shunem numeinu kom’a khun thukhat kasei nom’e gatin ati,” ati. Ama ahung phat’in,
13 And he said to him, Say now to her, Behold, you have been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for you? would you be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among my own people.
Elisha’n Gehazi kom’ah “Amanu chu seipeh in hichangeija eikhohsa hi kakipah lheh jenge ipi kabolpeh ding ham? Lengpa kom’ah ahilouleh asepai lamkaipa kom’ah ipi seipeh leng adeijem?” ati. Hichun amanun adonbut in, “Ima kangai chapoi kainsung min eive tup nai,” ati.
14 And he said, What then is to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, Truly she has no child, and her husband is old.
Khonungin Elisha’n Gehazi chu adong in, “Amanuhi ipi ibolpeh thei ding ham?” ati. Gehazin adonbut in, “Amanu hin chapa aneipoi, ajipa jong atehsetai,” ati.
15 And he said, Call her. And when he had called her, she stood in the door.
“Ganung kou kit’in” ati. Numeinu chu ahung kinungle in kotphunga adingin ahi.
16 And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, you shall embrace a son. And she said, No, my lord, you man of God, do not lie to your handmaid.
“Khovei tuphat leh nangin na anga chapa khat nakipom ding ahi,” atipeh e. Amanun “Ahipoi kapu Pathen mipa nei joulhep hih in chuleh nei kimohnepsah hih in,” ati.
17 And the woman conceived, and bore a son at that season that Elisha had said to her, according to the time of life.
Ahinlah hiche numeinu chun nao ahin voptan ahi. Hiti chun akum kit in Elisha seibang bang chun cha pasal khat aneitan ahi.
18 And when the child was grown, it fell on a day, that he went out to his father to the reapers.
Hiche chapang chu ahung len jeptan ahileh anule apa chang-at na a chun akithopi ding in agachen ahi.
19 And he said to his father, My head, my head. And he said to a lad, Carry him to his mother.
Tohphung in ahung peng jah jingin, “Kaluchang anai Kaluchang anai,” ahin tin ahi. Apa chun asohte khat kom’a, “Inlang’a anu kom’a po tauvin,” ati.
20 And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.
Hichun asohpan jong in'ah apolut’in ahileh anunjong aphei chung’ah apom’in ahi. Ahinla sun ahunghi phat’in athitan ahi.
21 And she went up, and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut the door on him, and went out.
Amanun apo touvin Pathen mipa lupna chunga chun alup sah in kot akhah in, ahin dalhatan ahi.
22 And she called to her husband, and said, Send me, I pray you, one of the young men, and one of the asses, that I may run to the man of God, and come again.
Aman ajipa kom’ah thu athotnin, “Isohte hou khat pen penchu sangan khat toh hinsol’in hitia chu keima Pathen mipa kom’a chu kaga chea ka hung kilekit loina dingin” atin ahi.
23 And he said, Why will you go to him to day? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well.
Amapan, “Tuni tah’a hi ipi che ngaija ham? Tunihi lhathah nikho golvahla ahipon, chuleh cholngah nilah ahipon,” ati. Ahinla amanun, “Akhohpoi, phanan te” atin ahi.
24 Then she saddled an ass, and said to her servant, Drive, and go forward; slack not your riding for me, except I bid you.
Amanun jong sangan chungah chun apho akoidoh in, asohpa kom’a hitin seijin, “Ken thu kapeh ngallou leh gangin noloijin” ati.
25 So she went and came to the man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder is that Shunammite:
Amanun Carmel molla um Pathen mipa chu aphah konin Elisha chun galla konin amanu chu ahin mun Gehazi kom’a chun, “Ven, Shunem ma konin numeinu ahung e,
26 Run now, I pray you, to meet her, and say to her, Is it well with you? is it well with your husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well:
lhaijal inlang gadongin,” “Naji na cha pha pha hinam?” tin gadongin ati. Amanun Gehazi kom’ah, “Aphanai imajouse aphanai.”
27 And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet: but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, Let her alone; for her soul is vexed within her: and the LORD has hid it from me, and has not told me.
Ahinlah amanu molchunga Pathen mipa kom ahung lhun phat’in amu masanga tolla abohkhup akeng chu atuhtan ahi. Gehazi chun amanu chu kaidoh agotleh Pathen mipan, “Suloh hih in, amanu hi lunggim ma ahin, Pakaiyin keima ima eiseipeh hih laiye,” ati.
28 Then she said, Did I desire a son of my lord? did I not say, Do not deceive me?
Hichun amanun aseijin, “Hepu, nakom’a chapa dia kathum khah em?” Ken kasei louham, “Neidoha bol hihin chuleh neikimoh nepsah hihin kati hilouham?” ati.
29 Then he said to Gehazi, Gird up your loins, and take my staff in your hand, and go your way: if you meet any man, salute him not; and if any salute you, answer him not again: and lay my staff on the face of the child.
Chuin Elisha chun Gehazi kom’ah, “Gangtahin kigon lang kamol hi choi jinlang che loijin, lampia koimacha kom’a houlimpa hih in, cheloi jinlang chapangpa mai’ah chun kamol hi gakoi loijin,” ati.
30 And the mother of the child said, As the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you. And he arose, and followed her.
Ahin chapangpa nu chun aseijin, “Hingjing Pakai leh nangma hinlaisen nangto ikilhon louding leh keima kainna cheponge,” ati. Hichun Elijah toh ahung kilhon lhon tan ahi.
31 And Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff on the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor hearing. Why he went again to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not awaked.
Gehazi chu gangtahin ana che masan mol chu chapangpa chunga chun aga koiyin ahileh ima atipon ahi. Ahindoh dehloujeh chun Elisha kom’ah ahung kitan, “Chapang chu ahingdoh dehpoi,” ahung ti in ahi.
32 And when Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was dead, and laid on his bed.
Elisha chu ahung lhun phat’in chapang chu athisa in, themgaopa lupna a chun akijam nalaijin ahi.
33 He went in therefore, and shut the door on them two, and prayed to the LORD.
Ama alutnin achangin kot akikha khum’in Pakai kom’ah atauvin ahi.
34 And he went up, and lay on the child, and put his mouth on his mouth, and his eyes on his eyes, and his hands on his hands: and stretched himself on the child; and the flesh of the child waxed warm.
Hichun chapangpa chunga chun akijam in, amuhleh chapangpa muh asuto in, amitleh amit asuto in, akhut chu chapangpa khut chunga chun akoiyin ahi. Hiti chun chapangpa chunga chun akijam in ahileh chapangpa tahsa chu ahung lumdohtan ahi.
35 Then he returned, and walked in the house to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself on him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.
Hichephat chun, Elisha chu akithoudoh in indansung’a chun anungchen, hijouchun chapang chunga chun alum kit’in, hichephat chun chapangpa chu sagi vei ahung chi in, chuin amit ahung hahtan ahi.
36 And he called Gehazi, and said, Call this Shunammite. So he called her. And when she was come in to him, he said, Take up your son.
Hijouchun Elisha’n Gehazi chu akouvin, “Chapangpa nuchu gakouvin” ati. Amanu ahung lutphat’in, nachapa hikom’a aum’e kilahtan ati.
37 Then she went in, and fell at his feet, and bowed herself to the ground, and took up her son, and went out.
Amanu chu akipahbehseh jingin akengkhopi muh atuh in chibai aboh jengtan ahi. Hijehchun anaochu a-anga akipom’in akum sohtan ahi.
38 And Elisha came again to Gilgal: and there was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him: and he said to his servant, Set on the great pot, and seethe pottage for the sons of the prophets.
Elisha chu Gilgal langa ahung kile in ahileh gamsunga chun kel analhaan ahi. Nikhat hi themgao phabep amasanga ana touvun ahileh amajong asohpa Gehazi kom’ah aseijin, “Meichunga chun bel lentah khat songin lang anchim lhah in ibonchava ineh diuvin hin hon in,” ati.
39 And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred them into the pot of pottage: for they knew them not.
Gollhang ho lah’a khatpen chu apotdoh in gamlah’a hampa hollin ache in ahileh, gam umpong dimset in ahinpon ahung kiletan ahi. Aman ahal hallin atham lhan, nehthei lou thina thei ahilam helouvin belsunga chun alhah tan ahi.
40 So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O you man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.
Anchim themkhat chu ahin hom’un khatvei nivei agah tepm un ahileh ahung peng jah jengun Pathen mipa anchim mahin thina thei gu aume atiuvin anethei tapouvin ahi.
41 But he said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm in the pot.
Hichun Elisha’n jong “Changbong thamkhat hinchoijun,” ati. Ahin choi phat’un aman belsunga chun agah lhah in, “Tun aphatai, netauvin,” ati. Hichun imacha aphamo aumtapon ahi.
42 And there came a man from Baalshalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the first fruits, twenty loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in the husk thereof. And he said, Give to the people, that they may eat.
Nikhat hi Baal-shalishah a konin mikhat ahungin Pathen mipa chu chang-hum bora khatleh changlhah pheng somni ahin poh pehin ahi. Elisha’n, “Mipi hochu peuvin nenao vinte,” ati.
43 And his servitor said, What, should I set this before an hundred men? He said again, Give the people, that they may eat: for thus says the LORD, They shall eat, and shall leave thereof.
Asohpan jong an ahinsem in, hicheng seh’a hi mihem jakhat jen iti kivah dingham atin ahileh Elisha’n ahin donbut’in mipihon aneh diuvin pedoh’un, ajeh chu Pakaiyin aseije, “Mijousen neuvintin phabep val nalai ding ahi,” ati.
44 So he set it before them, and they did eat, and left thereof, according to the word of the LORD.
Hiti chun mipi hochu apeuvin ahileh mijouse dingchun a lhingsetnin Pakai thusei dungjui jin phabep jong ane val nalaijun ahi.
