1 Timothy 4
1 Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
பவித்ர ஆத்மா ஸ்பஷ்டம் இத³ம்’ வாக்யம்’ வத³தி சரமகாலே கதிபயலோகா வஹ்நிநாங்கிதத்வாத்
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
கடோ²ரமநஸாம்’ காபட்யாத்³ அந்ரு’தவாதி³நாம்’ விவாஹநிஷேத⁴காநாம்’ ப⁴க்ஷ்யவிஸே²ஷநிஷேத⁴காநாஞ்ச
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God has created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
பூ⁴தஸ்வரூபாணாம்’ ஸி²க்ஷாயாம்’ ப்⁴ரமகாத்மநாம்’ வாக்யேஷு ச மநாம்’ஸி நிவேஸ்²ய த⁴ர்ம்மாத்³ ப்⁴ரம்’ஸி²ஷ்யந்தே| தாநி து ப⁴க்ஷ்யாணி விஸ்²வாஸிநாம்’ ஸ்வீக்ரு’தஸத்யத⁴ர்ம்மாணாஞ்ச த⁴ந்யவாத³ஸஹிதாய போ⁴கா³யேஸ்²வரேண ஸஸ்ரு’ஜிரே|
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
யத ஈஸ்²வரேண யத்³யத் ஸ்ரு’ஷ்டம்’ தத் ஸர்வ்வம் உத்தமம்’ யதி³ ச த⁴ந்யவாதே³ந பு⁴ஜ்யதே தர்ஹி தஸ்ய கிமபி நாக்³ராஹ்யம்’ ப⁴வதி,
5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
யத ஈஸ்²வரஸ்ய வாக்யேந ப்ரார்த²நயா ச தத் பவித்ரீப⁴வதி|
6 If you put the brothers in remembrance of these things, you shall be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, to which you have attained.
ஏதாநி வாக்யாநி யதி³ த்வம்’ ப்⁴ராத்ரு’ந் ஜ்ஞாபயேஸ்தர்ஹி யீஸு²க்²ரீஷ்டஸ்யோத்தம்: பரிசாரகோ ப⁴விஷ்யஸி யோ விஸ்²வாஸோ ஹிதோபதே³ஸ²ஸ்²ச த்வயா க்³ரு’ஹீதஸ்ததீ³யவாக்யைராப்யாயிஷ்யஸே ச|
7 But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself rather to godliness.
யாந்யுபாக்²யாநாநி து³ர்பா⁴வாநி வ்ரு’த்³த⁴யோஷிதாமேவ யோக்³யாநி ச தாநி த்வயா விஸ்ரு’ஜ்யந்தாம் ஈஸ்²வரப⁴க்தயே யத்ந: க்ரியதாஞ்ச|
8 For bodily exercise profits little: but godliness is profitable to all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
யத: ஸா²ரீரிகோ யத்ந: ஸ்வல்பப²லதோ³ ப⁴வதி கிந்த்வீஸ்²வரப⁴க்திரைஹிகபாரத்ரிகஜீவநயோ: ப்ரதிஜ்ஞாயுக்தா ஸதீ ஸர்வ்வத்ர ப²லதா³ ப⁴வதி|
9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
வாக்யமேதத்³ விஸ்²வஸநீயம்’ ஸர்வ்வை ர்க்³ரஹணீயஞ்ச வயஞ்ச தத³ர்த²மேவ ஸ்²ராம்யாமோ நிந்தா³ம்’ பு⁴ம்’ஜ்மஹே ச|
10 For therefore we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, specially of those that believe.
யதோ ஹேதோ: ஸர்வ்வமாநவாநாம்’ விஸே²ஷதோ விஸ்²வாஸிநாம்’ த்ராதா யோ(அ)மர ஈஸ்²வரஸ்தஸ்மிந் வயம்’ விஸ்²வஸாம: |
11 These things command and teach.
த்வம் ஏதாநி வாக்யாநி ப்ரசாரய ஸமுபதி³ஸ² ச|
12 Let no man despise your youth; but be you an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
அல்பவயஷ்கத்வாத் கேநாப்யவஜ்ஞேயோ ந ப⁴வ கிந்த்வாலாபேநாசரணேந ப்ரேம்நா ஸதா³த்மத்வேந விஸ்²வாஸேந ஸு²சித்வேந ச விஸ்²வாஸிநாம் ஆத³ர்ஸோ² ப⁴வ|
13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
யாவந்நாஹம் ஆக³மிஷ்யாமி தாவத் த்வ பாடே² சேதயநே உபதே³ஸே² ச மநோ நித⁴த்ஸ்வ|
14 Neglect not the gift that is in you, which was given you by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
ப்ராசீநக³ணஹஸ்தார்பணஸஹிதேந ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாக்யேந யத்³தா³நம்’ துப்⁴யம்’ விஸ்²ராணிதம்’ தவாந்த: ஸ்தே² தஸ்மிந் தா³நே ஸி²தி²லமநா மா ப⁴வ|
15 Meditate on these things; give yourself wholly to them; that your profiting may appear to all.
ஏதேஷு மநோ நிவேஸ²ய, ஏதேஷு வர்த்தஸ்வ, இத்த²ஞ்ச ஸர்வ்வவிஷயே தவ கு³ணவ்ரு’த்³தி⁴: ப்ரகாஸ²தாம்’|
16 Take heed to yourself, and to the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this you shall both save yourself, and them that hear you.
ஸ்வஸ்மிந் உபதே³ஸே² ச ஸாவதா⁴நோ பூ⁴த்வாவதிஷ்ட²ஸ்வ தத் க்ரு’த்வா த்வயாத்மபரித்ராணம்’ ஸ்²ரோத்ரு’ணாஞ்ச பரித்ராணம்’ ஸாத⁴யிஷ்யதே|
