< 1 Corinthians 8 >

1 Now as touching things offered to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but charity edifies.
Vinu kwa visoweru vya viboga vyavitambikilitwi vinyagu. Tuvimana kuwera twawoseri twenga twana malifa, kumbiti malifa aga gawatenda wantu walitumbiri, kumbiti mafiliru ganyawa.
2 And if any man think that he knows any thing, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know.
Walii yawalihola kuwera wamana kila shintu, nakaka wavimana ndiri shintu shoseri ntambu yashifiruwa kuvimana.
3 But if any man love God, the same is known of him.
Kumbiti muntu yakamfira Mlungu, yomberi kamanikana na Mlungu.
4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.
Su visoweru vya kuliya viboga vyavitambikilitwi vinyagu, tuvimana kuwera vinyagu shintu ndiri pasipanu, twenga tuvimana kuwera Mlungu kayumu hera.
5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many, )
Ata paviwera vintu vyavishemwa milungu pasipanu ama kumpindi kwa Mlungu, ata pawawera “milungu” Wavuwa na “watuwa” Wavuwa,
6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
kumbiti twenga twana Mlungu yumu hera, Tati yakaumbiti vyoseri na kupitila mweni twenga tulikala. Vilaa kwana Mtuwa yumu hera, Yesu Kristu na kupitila mweni vintu vyoseri viumbwa na kupitira mweni twenga tulikala.
7 However, there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol to this hour eat it as a thing offered to an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.
Kumbiti kila muntu ndiri kagamana goseri aga, kwana wantu wamu wawera na vitiba vya kutambikira vinyagu, wantu weni mpaka vinu pawaliya viboga avi walihola kuwera vitambikirwa vinyagu. Toziya mmoyu yawu iwera legilegi, su walihola weni kuwera watenda vidoda kwa kuliya viboga avi.
8 But meat commends us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.
Shiboga hapeni shiwezi kutujega tuweri pakwegera na Mlungu, patuleka kuliya hapeni tupungukiwi na shintu shoseri na patuliya hapeni twongereki na shintu shoseri.
9 But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to them that are weak.
Kumbiti muliloli weri, ulekeziya wenu naguwatenda walii yawawera na moyu legilegi watendi vidoda.
10 For if any man see you which have knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;
Handa muntu yakawera na moyu legilegi, pakakuwona gwenga yaguvimana gwankuliya viboga avi mnumba mwa vinyagu, hashi, hapeni kaweri na moyu gwa kuliya viboga vyavitambikilitwi vinyagu?
11 And through your knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?
Kwa njira ayi, muyenu ayu kana moyu legilegi, ndomweni Kristu kahowiti kwajili yakuwi, shirii gwenga shagushishema gushimani.
12 But when you sin so against the brothers, and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ.
Handa pamuwatendera vidoda walongu wamwenga ntambu ayi na kuyitenduwa myoyu yawu legilegi, su mwenga mwankumtendera vidoda Kristu.
13 Why, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world stands, lest I make my brother to offend. (aiōn g165)
Hangu, handa shiboga shitenda kuguwa kwa mlongu gwangu katendi vidoda, hapeni ndiyi shinofu kayi, naniza kumtenda mlongu gwaneni katendi vidoda. (aiōn g165)
