Zechariah 5

1 Then again I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and behold a flying roll.

E outra vez levantei os meus olhos, e olhei, e eis que vi um rolo voante.

2 And he said unto me: 'What seest thou?' And I answered: 'I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.'

E me disse: Que vês? E eu disse: Vejo um rolo voante, que tem vinte covados de comprido e dez covados de largo.

3 Then said he unto me: 'This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole land; for every one that stealeth shall be swept away on the one side like it; and every one that sweareth shall be swept away on the other side like it.

Então me disse: Esta é a maldição que sairá pela face de toda a terra; porque qualquer que furtar d'ahi, conforme a mesma maldição, será desarraigado: como tambem qualquer que jurar falsamente d'ahi, conforme a mesma maldição, será desarraigado.

4 I cause it to go forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by My name; and it shall abide in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.'

Eu a tirarei para fóra, disse o Senhor dos Exercitos, e virá á casa do ladrão, e á casa do que jurar falsamente pelo meu nome; e pernoitará no meio da sua casa, e a consumirá a ella com a sua madeira e com as suas pedras

5 Then the angel that spoke with me went forth, and said unto me: 'Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth.'

E saiu o anjo, que fallava comigo, e me disse: Levanta agora os teus olhos, e vê que é isto que sae.

6 And I said: 'What is it?' And he said: 'This is the measure that goeth forth.' He said moreover: 'This is their eye in all the land —

E eu disse: Que é isto? E elle disse: Isto é um epha que sae. Mais disse: Este é o olho d'elles em toda a terra.

7 and, behold, there was lifted up a round piece of lead — and this is a woman sitting in the midst of the measure.'

E eis que foi levantado um talento de chumbo, e havia uma mulher que estava assentada no meio do epha.

8 And he said: 'This is Wickedness.' And he cast her down into the midst of the measure, and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.

E elle disse: Esta é a impiedade. E a lançou dentro do epha; e lançou na bocca d'elle o peso de chumbo.

9 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there came forth two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork; and they lifted up the measure between the earth and the heaven.

E levantei os meus olhos, e olhei, e eis que duas mulheres sairam, e havia vento nas suas azas, e tinham azas como as azas da cegonha; e levantaram o epha entre a terra e o céu.

10 Then said I to the angel that spoke with me: 'Whither do these bear the measure?'

Então eu disse ao anjo que fallava comigo: Para onde levam estas o epha?

11 And he said unto me: 'To build her a house in the land of Shinar; and when it is prepared, she shall be set there in her own place.

E elle me disse: Para lhe edificarem uma casa na terra de Sinear, e, sendo esta assentada, elle será posto ali sobre a sua base.
