Zechariah 4

1 And the angel that spoke with me returned, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep.

我に語へる天の使また來りて我を呼醒せり我は睡れる人の呼醒されしごとくなりき

2 And he said unto me: 'What seest thou?' And I said: 'I have seen, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and its seven lamps thereon; there are seven pipes, yea, seven, to the lamps, which are upon the top thereof;

彼我にむかひて汝何を見るやと言ければ我いへり我觀に惣金の燈臺一箇ありてその頂に油を容る噐ありまた燈臺の上に七箇の燭盞ありその燭盞は燈臺の頂にありて之に各七本づつの管あり

3 and two olive-trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.'

また燈臺の側に橄欖の樹二本ありて一は油を容る噐の右にあり一はその左にあり

4 And I answered and spoke to the angel that spoke with me, saying: 'What are these, my lord?'

我答へて我と語ふ天の使の問言けるは我主よ是等は何ぞやと

5 Then the angel that spoke with me answered and said unto me: 'Knowest thou not what these are?' And I said: 'No, my lord.'

我と語ふ天の使我に答へて汝是等の何なるを知ざるかと言しにより我主よ知ずとわれ言り

6 Then he answered and spoke unto me, saying: 'This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying: Not by might, nor by power, but by My spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

彼また答へて我に言けるはゼルバベルにヱホバの告たまふ言は是のごとし萬軍のヱホバ宣ふ是は權勢に由らず能力に由らず我靈に由るなり

7 Who art thou, O great mountain before Zerubbabel? thou shalt become a plain; and he shall bring forth the top stone with shoutings of Grace, grace, unto it.'

ゼルバベルの前にあたれる大山よ汝は何者ぞ汝は平地とならん彼は恩惠あれ之に恩惠あれと呼はる聲をたてて頭石を曳いださん

8 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:

ヱホバの言われに臨めり云く

9 'The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you.

ゼルバベルの手この室の石礎を置たり彼の手これを成終ん汝しらん萬軍のヱホバ我を汝等に遣したまひしと

10 For who hath despised the day of small things? even they shall see with joy the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel, even these seven, which are the eyes of the LORD, that run to and fro through the whole earth.'

誰か小き事の日を藐視むる者ぞ夫の七の者は遍く全地に往來するヱホバの目なり準繩のゼルバベルの手にあるを見て喜ばん

11 Then answered I, and said unto him: 'What are these two olive-trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?'

我また彼に問て燈臺の右左にある此二本の橄欖の樹は何なるやと言ひ

12 And I answered the second time, and said unto him: 'What are these two olive branches, which are beside the two golden spouts, that empty the golden oil out of themselves?'

重ねてまた彼に問て此二本の金の管によりて金の油をその中より斟ぎ出す二枝の橄欖は何ぞやと言しに

13 And he answered me and said: 'Knowest thou not what these are?' And I said: 'No, my lord.'

彼われに答へて汝是等の何なるを知ざるかと言ければ我主よ知ずと言けるに

14 Then said he: 'These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.'

彼言らく是等は油の二箇の子にして全地の主の前に立つ者なり
