Zechariah 12
1 The burden of the word of the LORD concerning Israel. The saying of the LORD, who stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundation of the earth, and formed the spirit of man within him:
Kun raajii dubbii Waaqayyo waaʼee Israaʼel dubbatuu dha. Waaqayyo samiiwwan diriirse, inni hundee lafaa buuse, inni nama keessatti hafuura namaa uume sun akkana jedha:
2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of staggering unto all the peoples round about, and upon Judah also shall it fall to be in the siege against Jerusalem.
“Ani Yerusaalemin namoota naannoo ishee jiraatan hundatti xoofoo gatantarsu nan godha. Yihuudaan akkuma Yerusaalem marfamtee ni qabamti.
3 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a stone of burden for all the peoples; all that burden themselves with it shall be sore wounded; and all the nations of the earth shall be gathered together against it.
Gaafas, yeroo saboonni lafaa hundi isheen mormuudhaan walitti qabamanitti, ani Yerusaalemin saboota hundatti kattaa hin sochoofamne nan godha. Warri ishee sochoosuu yaalan hundi of miidhu.
4 In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with bewilderment, and his rider with madness; and I will open Mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the peoples with blindness.
Gaafas ani fardeen hunda nan naasisa; isa yaabbatus nan maraacha” jedha Waaqayyo. “Ani Yihuudaa eeguuf ija koo nan banadha; ija fardeen saboota hundaa garuu nan jaamsa.
5 And the chiefs of Judah shall say in their heart: 'The inhabitants of Jerusalem are my strength through the LORD of hosts their God.'
Ergasii hangafoonni Yihuudaa garaa isaaniitti, ‘Jiraatonni Yerusaalem sababii Waaqayyo Waan Hunda Dandaʼu Waaqa isaanii taʼeef jajjaboo dha’ jedhu.
6 In that day will I make the chiefs of Judah like a pan of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire among sheaves; and they shall devour all the peoples round about, on the right hand and on the left; and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.
“Ani gaafas hangafoota Yihuudaa badaa ibiddaa tuullaa qoraanii keessaa, akkuma guca ibiddaa bissii keessaa nan godha. Isaan saboota naannoo isaanii kanneen mirgaa fi bitaan jiran hunda ni barbadeessu; Yerusaalem garuu utuu hin miidhamin iddoodhuma isheetti hafti.
7 The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem be not magnified above Judah.
“Waaqayyo akka ulfinni mana Daawitii fi jiraattota Yerusaalem ulfina Yihuudaa hin caalleef duraan dursee iddoo jireenya Yihuudaa ni baraara.
8 In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that stumbleth among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as a godlike being, as the angel of the LORD before them.
Gaafas Waaqayyo jiraattota Yerusaalemiif ni qolata; guyyaa sana isaan keessaa inni dadhabaan akka Daawit taʼa; manni Daawitis akka Waaqaa, akka ergamaa Waaqayyoo isa isaan dura deemuu ni taʼa.
9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
Ani gaafas saboota Yerusaalem lolan hunda balleessuuf nan baʼa.
10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they shall look unto Me because they have thrust him through; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his first-born.
“Ani mana Daawitii fi jiraattota Yerusaalem irratti hafuura surraatii fi kadhannaa nan dhangalaasa. Isaan ana isa waraanan sana ni ilaalu; isaan akkuma nama ilma tokkichaaf booʼuutti ni booʼuuf; akkuma nama ilma hangafaaf baayʼisee gadduuttis ni gadduuf.
11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.
Gaafas booʼichi Yerusaalem keessaa akkuma booʼicha dirree Megidoonitti Hadaad Rimooniif booʼame sanaa guddaa taʼa.
12 And the land shall mourn, every family apart: the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;
Biyyattiin ni boossi; tokkoon tokkoon balbalaas niitota isaanii wajjin ofii isaaniitiif ni booʼu; balballi mana Daawitii fi niitonni isaanii, balballi mana Naataaniitii fi niitonni isaanii,
13 The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of the Shimeites apart, and their wives apart;
balballi mana Lewwii fi niitonni isaanii, balballi Shimeʼiitii fi niitonni isaanii,
14 All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.
balbalawwan hafan hundii fi niitonni isaanii ni booʼu.
