Psalms 96

1 O sing unto the LORD a new song; sing unto the LORD, all the earth.

Cantai ao SENHOR uma nova canção; cantai ao SENHOR toda a terra.

2 Sing unto the LORD, bless His name; proclaim His salvation from day to day.

Cantai ao SENHOR, bendizei ao seu nome; anunciai todos os dias sua salvação.

3 Declare His glory among the nations, His marvellous works among all the peoples.

Contai sua glória por entre as nações, [e] suas maravilhas por entre todos os povos.

4 For great is the LORD, and highly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.

Porque o SENHOR é grande e muito digno de louvor; ele é mais temível que todos os deuses.

5 For all the gods of the peoples are things of nought; but the LORD made the heavens.

Porque todos os deuses dos povos são ídolos, porém o SENHOR fez os céus;

6 Honour and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.

Majestade e glória há diante dele; força e beleza [há] em seu santuário.

7 Ascribe unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the peoples, ascribe unto the LORD glory and strength.

Reconhecei ao SENHOR, ó famílias dos povos; reconhecei que ao SENHOR pertence a glória e a força.

8 Ascribe unto the LORD the glory due unto His name; bring an offering, and come into His courts.

Reconhecei ao SENHOR a glória de seu nome; trazei ofertas, e entrai nos pátios dele.

9 O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth.

Adorai ao SENHOR na glória da santidade; temei perante sua presença toda a terra.

10 Say among the nations: 'The LORD reigneth.' The world also is established that it cannot be moved; He will judge the peoples with equity.

Dizei entre as nações: O SENHOR reina; o mundo está firme, e não se abalará; ele julgará aos povos de forma correta.

11 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof;

Alegrem-se os céus, e enchei de alegria a terra; faça barulho o mar e sua plenitude.

12 Let the field exult; and all that is therein; then shall all the trees of the wood sing for joy;

Saltem contentes o campo e tudo que nele há, e que todas as árvores dos bosque cantem de alegria,

13 Before the LORD, for He is come; for He is come to judge the earth; He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples in His faithfulness.

Diante do SENHOR; porque ele vem; porque ele vem para julgar a terra. Ele julgará ao mundo com justiça, e aos povos com sua verdade.
