Psalms 96
1 O sing unto the LORD a new song; sing unto the LORD, all the earth.
Énekeljetek az Úrnak új éneket; énekelj az Úrnak te egész föld!
2 Sing unto the LORD, bless His name; proclaim His salvation from day to day.
Énekeljetek az Úrnak, áldjátok az ő nevét; hirdessétek napról-napra az ő szabadítását.
3 Declare His glory among the nations, His marvellous works among all the peoples.
Beszéljétek a népek között az ő dicsőségét, minden nemzet között az ő csodadolgait;
4 For great is the LORD, and highly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.
Mert nagy az Úr és igen dicséretes, rettenetes minden isten felett.
5 For all the gods of the peoples are things of nought; but the LORD made the heavens.
Mert a nemzeteknek minden istene bálvány, az Úr pedig egeket alkotott.
6 Honour and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
Ékesség és fenség van előtte; tisztesség és méltóság az ő szent helyén.
7 Ascribe unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the peoples, ascribe unto the LORD glory and strength.
Adjatok az Úrnak népeknek nemzetségei: adjatok az Úrnak dicsőséget és tisztességet!
8 Ascribe unto the LORD the glory due unto His name; bring an offering, and come into His courts.
Adjátok az Úrnak neve dicsőségét; hozzatok ajándékot és jőjjetek be az ő tornáczaiba!
9 O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth.
Hajoljatok meg az Úr előtt szent ékességben; rettegjen előtte az egész föld!
10 Say among the nations: 'The LORD reigneth.' The world also is established that it cannot be moved; He will judge the peoples with equity.
Mondjátok a népek között: Az Úr uralkodik; megerősítette a földet, hogy meg ne induljon; ő ítéli meg a népeket igazsággal.
11 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof;
Örüljenek az egek és örvendezzen a föld; harsogjon a tenger és minden benne való!
12 Let the field exult; and all that is therein; then shall all the trees of the wood sing for joy;
Viduljon a mező és minden, a mi rajta van; örvend akkor az erdő minden fája is,
13 Before the LORD, for He is come; for He is come to judge the earth; He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples in His faithfulness.
Az Úrnak orczája előtt, mert eljön, mert eljön, hogy megítélje e földet. Megítéli majd a világot igazsággal, és a népeket az ő hűségével.
