< Psalms 96 >

1 O sing unto the LORD a new song; sing unto the LORD, all the earth.
Dem Herrn zu Ehren singt ein neues Lied! Dem Herrn lobsinge alle Welt!
2 Sing unto the LORD, bless His name; proclaim His salvation from day to day.
Lobsingt dem Herrn; lobpreiset seinen Namen! Von Meer zu Meer tut kund sein Heil!
3 Declare His glory among the nations, His marvellous works among all the peoples.
Verkündet bei den Heiden seinen Ruhm, bei allen Völkern seine Wunder,
4 For great is the LORD, and highly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.
ist doch der Herr so groß und lobesam, vor allen Göttern ehrfurchtswert!
5 For all the gods of the peoples are things of nought; but the LORD made the heavens.
Der Völker Götter sind ja alle Götzen; des Himmels Schöpfer ist der Herr.
6 Honour and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
Vor ihn mit Glanz und Herrlichkeit! Mit Macht und Pracht zu seinem Heiligtum!
7 Ascribe unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the peoples, ascribe unto the LORD glory and strength.
So bringt dem Herrn, ihr Völkerscharen, herbei bringt Pracht und Macht dem Herrn!
8 Ascribe unto the LORD the glory due unto His name; bring an offering, and come into His courts.
So bringt dem Herrn zu seines Namens Ehre Gaben! Betretet mit Geschenken seine Vorhöfe!
9 O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth.
Werft vor den Herrn euch hin mit Schmuck fürs Heiligtum! Vor ihm erzittere die ganze Welt!
10 Say among the nations: 'The LORD reigneth.' The world also is established that it cannot be moved; He will judge the peoples with equity.
Den Heiden rufet zu: "Der Herr ist König. Darum steht die Welt und wanket nimmer. Er richtet Völker in Gerechtigkeit."
11 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof;
Der Himmel freue sich! Die Erde jauchze, das Meer und was darin, erbrause!
12 Let the field exult; and all that is therein; then shall all the trees of the wood sing for joy;
Die Flur frohlocke auch mit allem, was darauf! Die Waldesbäume alle jubeln vor dem Herrn:
13 Before the LORD, for He is come; for He is come to judge the earth; He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples in His faithfulness.
"Er kommt, er kommt, der Erde Richter. Er richtet nach Gerechtigkeit die Welt und die Nationen unparteiisch."
