Psalms 96
1 O sing unto the LORD a new song; sing unto the LORD, all the earth.
Synger for Herren en ny Sang, synger for Herren al Jorden!
2 Sing unto the LORD, bless His name; proclaim His salvation from day to day.
Synger for Herren, lover hans Navn, bebuder hans Frelse fra Dag til Dag!
3 Declare His glory among the nations, His marvellous works among all the peoples.
Forkynder hans Ære iblandt Hedningerne, hans underfulde Gerninger iblandt alle Folkeslag.
4 For great is the LORD, and highly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.
Thi Herren er stor og saare priselig, han er forfærdelig fremfor alle Guder.
5 For all the gods of the peoples are things of nought; but the LORD made the heavens.
Thi alle Folkenes Guder ere Afguder; men Herren har skabt Himmelen.
6 Honour and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.
Majestæt og Herlighed ere for hans Ansigt, Magt og Prydelse ere i hans Helligdom.
7 Ascribe unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the peoples, ascribe unto the LORD glory and strength.
Giver Herren, I Folkeslægter! giver Herren Ære og Magt!
8 Ascribe unto the LORD the glory due unto His name; bring an offering, and come into His courts.
Giver Herren hans Navns Ære, frembærer Skænk og kommer til hans Forgaarde!
9 O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth.
Tilbeder Herren i hellig Prydelse, bæv for hans Ansigt al Jorden!
10 Say among the nations: 'The LORD reigneth.' The world also is established that it cannot be moved; He will judge the peoples with equity.
Siger iblandt Hedningerne: Herren regerer, og Jorderige staar fast, det rokkes ej; han skal dømme Folkene med Retvished.
11 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof;
Himlene glæde sig, og Jorden fryde sig; Havet bruse og dets Fylde!
12 Let the field exult; and all that is therein; then shall all the trees of the wood sing for joy;
Marken fryde sig og alt, hvad der er paa; da skulle alle Træer i Skoven synge med Fryd
13 Before the LORD, for He is come; for He is come to judge the earth; He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples in His faithfulness.
for Herrens Ansigt; thi han kommer, thi han kommer til at dømme Jorden; han skal dømme Jorderige med Retfærdighed og Folkene med sin Sandhed.
