Psalms 95

1 O come, let us sing unto the LORD; let us shout for joy to the Rock of our salvation.

بیایید خداوند را ستایش کنیم و در وصف صخرهٔ نجات خود، با شادی سرود بخوانیم!

2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, let us shout for joy unto Him with psalms.

با شکرگزاری به حضور او بیاییم و با سرودهای شاد او را بپرستیم!

3 For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods;

زیرا خداوند، خدای عظیمی است؛ او پادشاهی است که بر همهٔ خدایان فرمان می‌راند.

4 In whose hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are His also.

اعماق زمین در دست خداوند است و بلندی و عظمت کوهها از آن او می‌باشد.

5 The sea is His, and He made it; and His hands formed the dry land.

آبها و خشکی‌ها را خدا به وجود آورده و آنها به او تعلق دارند.

6 O come, let us bow down and bend the knee; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;

بیایید در برابر خدا، سر فرود آوریم و او را عبادت کنیم. بیایید در حضور آفرینندهٔ خود زانو بزنیم.

7 For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the flock of His hand. To-day, if ye would but hearken to His voice!

ما قوم او هستیم و او خدای ما، ما گلهٔ او هستیم و او شبان ما. امروز، اگر صدای او را می‌شنوید که می‌فرماید:

8 'Harden not your heart, as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the wilderness;

«دل خود را سخت نکنید، همان کاری که نیاکان شما در صحرای مریبا و مَسّا کردند.

9 When your fathers tried Me, proved Me, even though they saw My work.

زیرا در آنجا، نیاکان شما، صبر مرا آزمایش و امتحان کردند، با اینکه کارهای مرا دیده بودند.

10 For forty years was I wearied with that generation, and said: It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known My ways;

مدت چهل سال، از آنها بیزار بودم، و گفتم:”اینها قومی هستند که دلشان از من برگشته. آنها دیگر مرا اطاعت نمی‌کنند.

11 Wherefore I swore in My wrath, that they should not enter into My rest.'

پس در خشم خود سوگند خوردم که به آسایش من هرگز راه نخواهند یافت.“»
