Psalms 95

1 O come, let us sing unto the LORD; let us shout for joy to the Rock of our salvation.

Kommt herzu, laßt uns dem HERRN frohlocken und jauchzen dem Hort unsers Heils!

2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, let us shout for joy unto Him with psalms.

Lasset uns mit Danken vor sein Angesicht kommen und mit Psalmen ihm jauchzen!

3 For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods;

Denn der HERR ist ein großer Gott und ein großer König über alle Götter.

4 In whose hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are His also.

Denn in seiner Hand ist, was unten in der Erde ist; und die Höhen der Berge sind auch sein.

5 The sea is His, and He made it; and His hands formed the dry land.

Denn sein ist das Meer, und er hat's gemacht; und seine Hände haben das Trockene bereitet.

6 O come, let us bow down and bend the knee; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;

Kommt, laßt uns anbeten und knieen und niederfallen vor dem HERRN, der uns gemacht hat.

7 For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the flock of His hand. To-day, if ye would but hearken to His voice!

Denn er ist unser Gott und wir das Volk seiner Weide und Schafe seiner Hand. Heute, so ihr seine Stimme höret,

8 'Harden not your heart, as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the wilderness;

so verstocket euer Herz nicht, wie zu Meriba geschah, wie zu Massa in der Wüste,

9 When your fathers tried Me, proved Me, even though they saw My work.

da mich eure Väter versuchten, mich prüften und sahen mein Werk.

10 For forty years was I wearied with that generation, and said: It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known My ways;

Vierzig Jahre hatte ich Mühe mit diesem Volk und sprach: Es sind Leute, deren Herz immer den Irrweg will und die meine Wege nicht lernen wollen;

11 Wherefore I swore in My wrath, that they should not enter into My rest.'

daß ich schwur in meinem Zorn: Sie sollen nicht zu meiner Ruhe kommen.
