Psalms 90
1 BOOK IV A Prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, Thou hast been our dwelling-place in all generations.
೧ಪಾಪಾತ್ಮರಿಗೆ ದೇವರ ದಯವೇ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಕರ್ತನೇ, ತಲತಲಾಂತರಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಆಶ್ರಯಸ್ಥಾನವು ನೀನೇ.
2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever Thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, Thou art God.
೨ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳು ಉಂಟಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲೇ, ಭೂಮಿಯೂ ಅದರ ದೇಶಗಳೂ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲೇ, ಯುಗಯುಗಾಂತರಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನೀನೇ ದೇವರು.
3 Thou turnest man to contrition; and sayest: 'Return, ye children of men.'
೩“ಮನುಷ್ಯರೇ, ಸಾಯಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಪುನಃ ಮಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸುತ್ತೀ.
4 For a thousand years in Thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
೪ಸಾವಿರ ವರ್ಷಗಳು ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗತಿಸಿಹೋದ ನಿನ್ನೆಯ ದಿನದಂತೆಯೂ, ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ಜಾವದಂತೆಯೂ ಇವೆ.
5 Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep; in the morning they are like grass which groweth up.
೫ನೀನು ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಪ್ರವಾಹದಿಂದ ಬಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತೀ; ಅವರು ನಿದ್ರೆಗೆ ಸಮಾನರೇ. ಅವರು ಹೊತ್ತಾರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಗುರುವ ಹುಲ್ಲಿನಂತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
6 In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.
೬ಅದು ಮುಂಜಾನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆದು ಹೂಬಿಡುತ್ತದೆ; ಸಂಜೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಒಣಗಿಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ.
7 For we are consumed in Thine anger, and by Thy wrath are we hurried away.
೭ನಿನ್ನ ಕೋಪದಿಂದ ನಾವು ಇಲ್ಲವಾದೆವು; ನಿನ್ನ ರೌದ್ರದಿಂದ ತಲ್ಲಣಗೊಂಡೆವು.
8 Thou hast set our iniquities before Thee, our secret sins in the light of Thy countenance.
೮ನಮ್ಮ ದ್ರೋಹಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ, ನಮ್ಮ ಗುಪ್ತಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ತೇಜೋದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಿ.
9 For all our days are passed away in Thy wrath; we bring our years to an end as a tale that is told.
೯ನಿನ್ನ ರೋಷದಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕಳೆದು ಹೋಯಿತು; ನಮ್ಮ ವರ್ಷಗಳು ನಿಟ್ಟುಸಿರಿನಂತೆ ತೀರಿಹೋದವು.
10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten, or even by reason of strength fourscore years; yet is their pride but travail and vanity; for it is speedily gone, and we fly away.
೧೦ನಮ್ಮ ಆಯುಷ್ಕಾಲವು ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ, ಬಲ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದರೆ ಎಂಭತ್ತು; ಕಷ್ಟಸಂಕಟಗಳೇ ಅದರ ಆಡಂಬರ. ಅದು ಬೇಗನೆ ಗತಿಸಿಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ; ನಾವು ಹಾರಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇವೆ.
11 Who knoweth the power of Thine anger, and Thy wrath according to the fear that is due unto Thee?
೧೧ನಿನ್ನ ಕೋಪದ ಬಲವನ್ನೂ, ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿರತಕ್ಕ ನಿನ್ನ ರೌದ್ರವನ್ನೂ ಗ್ರಹಿಸುವವರಾರು?
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom.
೧೨ನಮ್ಮ ದಿನಗಳು ಕೊಂಚವೇ ಎಂದು ಎಣಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಮಗೆ ಕಲಿಸು; ಆಗ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆವು.
13 Return, O LORD; how long? And let it repent Thee concerning Thy servants.
೧೩ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಬೇರೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೋ; ಎಷ್ಟರವರೆಗೆ ಕೋಪ ಮಾಡುವಿ? ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರುಣೆಯಿರಲಿ.
14 O satisfy us in the morning with Thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
೧೪ಮುಂಜಾನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಂತೃಪ್ತಿಪಡಿಸು; ಆಗ ಜೀವಮಾನದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಿಸಿ ಹರ್ಷಿಸುವೆವು.
15 Make us glad according to the days wherein Thou hast afflicted us, according to the years wherein we have seen evil.
೧೫ನೀನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕುಗ್ಗಿಸಿದ ದಿನಗಳಿಗೂ, ನಾವು ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದ ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಗೂ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡಿಸು.
16 Let Thy work appear unto Thy servants, and Thy glory upon their children.
೧೬ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಕಾರ್ಯವೂ, ಅವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಹತ್ತೂ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಲಿ.
17 And let the graciousness of the Lord our God be upon us; establish Thou also upon us the work of our hands; yea, the work of our hands establish Thou it.
೧೭ನಮ್ಮ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನತೆಯು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರಲಿ. ನಾವು ಕೈ ಹಾಕಿದ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ಸಫಲಪಡಿಸು; ನಾವು ಕೈಹಾಕಿದ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಸಫಲ ವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡು.
