< Psalms 90 >

1 BOOK IV A Prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, Thou hast been our dwelling-place in all generations.
Mose, Mawu ƒe ame ƒe gbedodoɖa. Yehowa, wòe nye míaƒe sitsoƒe le dzidzimewo katã me.
2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever Thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, Thou art God.
Hafi towo nava dzɔ, alo hafi nàwɔ anyigba kple xexea me, tso mavɔ me yi ɖe mavɔ me, wò koe nye Mawu.
3 Thou turnest man to contrition; and sayest: 'Return, ye children of men.'
Ènana amegbetɔwo gatrɔna zua kewɔ, eye nègblɔna be, “O! Amegbetɔviwo, mitrɔ zu kewɔ.”
4 For a thousand years in Thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
Elabena ƒe akpewo le ŋkuwò me le abe etsɔ ŋkeke si va yi la ene, alo abe ŋudzɔɣi le zã me ene.
5 Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep; in the morning they are like grass which groweth up.
Èkplɔa amewo dzonae to ku me; wole abe gbe mumu le ŋdi me ene.
6 In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.
Togbɔ be emie le ŋdi yeyee hã la, le fiẽ me la, eƒu, eye wòku.
7 For we are consumed in Thine anger, and by Thy wrath are we hurried away.
Wò dɔmedzoe la tsrɔ̃ mí eye wò dɔmedzoe do ŋɔdzi na mí.
8 Thou hast set our iniquities before Thee, our secret sins in the light of Thy countenance.
Ètsɔ míaƒe vodadawo ɖo wò ŋkume kple míaƒe nu vɔ̃ siwo míewɔ le ɣaɣlaƒe la ɖo wò mo ƒe kekeli nu.
9 For all our days are passed away in Thy wrath; we bring our years to an end as a tale that is told.
Míaƒe ŋkekewo katã nu va yi le wò dziku ta, eye míewu míaƒe ƒewo nu kple ŋeŋe.
10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten, or even by reason of strength fourscore years; yet is their pride but travail and vanity; for it is speedily gone, and we fly away.
Míaƒe agbemeŋkekewo le ƒe blaadre, alo blaenyi, gake ne ŋusẽ gale mía ŋutie nye ema, elabena woƒe didi nye fuɖename kple aɖukliɖuɖu; wo nu va yi kaba, eye míedzo.
11 Who knoweth the power of Thine anger, and Thy wrath according to the fear that is due unto Thee?
Ame kae nya wò dɔmedzoe ƒe ŋusẽ? Elabena wò dziku nu sẽ abe ale si woavɔ̃ wòe ene.
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom.
Fia ale si míaxlẽ míaƒe ŋkekewo dedie la mí, ale be dzi si me dziƒonunya le la nasu mía si.
13 Return, O LORD; how long? And let it repent Thee concerning Thy servants.
O! Yehowa, bɔbɔ wò asi! Va se ɖe ɣe ka ɣi? Kpɔ nublanui na wò dɔlawo.
14 O satisfy us in the morning with Thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Tsɔ wò lɔlɔ̃ si meʋãna o la ɖi ƒoe na mí le ŋdi me, be míadzi ha kple dzidzɔ, eye míatso aseye le míaƒe ŋkekewo katã me.
15 Make us glad according to the days wherein Thou hast afflicted us, according to the years wherein we have seen evil.
Na míatso aseye, ɖe ŋkeke siwo katã nètu nu kpli mí kple ƒe siwo katã me nèhe fukpekpe va mía dzi la ta.
16 Let Thy work appear unto Thy servants, and Thy glory upon their children.
Na woaɖe wò dɔwɔwɔwo afia wò dɔlawo kple wò atsyɔ̃ afia wo viwo.
17 And let the graciousness of the Lord our God be upon us; establish Thou also upon us the work of our hands; yea, the work of our hands establish Thou it.
Aƒetɔ, míaƒe Mawu, na wò amenuveve nanɔ mía dzi, eye nàli ke míaƒe asinudɔwo na mí, ɛ̃, míaƒe asinudɔwo, nàna woali ke nyuie.
