Psalms 9
1 For the Leader; upon Muthlabben. A Psalm of David. I will give thanks unto the LORD with my whole heart; I will tell of all Thy marvellous works.
Eu te louvarei, Senhor, com todo o meu coração; contarei todas as tuas maravilhas.
2 I will be glad and exult in Thee; I will sing praise to Thy name, O Most High:
Em ti me alegrarei e saltarei de prazer; cantarei louvores ao teu nome, ó Altissimo.
3 When mine enemies are turned back, they stumble and perish at Thy presence;
Porquanto os meus inimigos voltaram para traz, cairam e pereceram diante da tua face.
4 For Thou hast maintained my right and my cause; Thou sattest upon the throne as the righteous Judge.
Pois tu tens sustentado o meu direito e a minha causa; tu te assentaste no tribunal, julgando justamente.
5 Thou hast rebuked the nations, Thou hast destroyed the wicked, Thou hast blotted out their name for ever and ever.
Reprehendeste as nações, destruiste os impios; apagaste o seu nome para sempre e eternamente.
6 O thou enemy, the waste places are come to an end for ever; and the cities which thou didst uproot, their very memorial is perished.
Oh! inimigo! acabaram-se para sempre as assolações; --e tu arrazaste as cidades, e a sua memoria pereceu com ellas.
7 But the LORD is enthroned for ever; He hath established His throne for judgment.
Mas o Senhor está assentado perpetuamente; já preparou o seu tribunal para julgar.
8 And He will judge the world in righteousness, He will minister judgment to the peoples with equity.
Elle mesmo julgará o mundo com justiça; fará juizo aos povos com rectidão.
9 The LORD also will be a high tower for the oppressed, a high tower in times of trouble;
O Senhor será tambem um alto refugio para o opprimido; um alto refugio em tempos de angustia.
10 And they that know Thy name will put their trust in Thee; for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek Thee.
E em ti confiarão os que conhecem o teu nome; porque tu, Senhor, nunca desamparaste aos que te buscam.
11 Sing praises to the LORD, who dwelleth in Zion; declare among the peoples His doings.
Cantae louvores ao Senhor, que habita em Sião; annunciae entre os povos os seus feitos.
12 For He that avengeth blood hath remembered them; He hath not forgotten the cry of the humble.
Pois quando busca derramamento de sangue, lembra-se d'elles; não se esquece do clamor dos miseraveis.
13 Be gracious unto me, O LORD, behold mine affliction at the hands of them that hate me; Thou that liftest me up from the gates of death;
Tem misericordia de mim, Senhor, olha para a minha miseria, que soffro d'aquelles que me aborrecem; tu que me levantas das portas da morte,
14 That I may tell of all Thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion, that I may rejoice in Thy salvation.
Para que eu conte todos os teus louvores nas portas da filha de Sião, e me alegre na tua salvação.
15 The nations are sunk down in the pit that they made; in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.
As gentes enterraram-se na cova que fizeram; na rede que ocultaram ficou preso o seu pé.
16 The LORD hath made Himself known, He hath executed judgment, the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. (Higgaion, Selah)
O Senhor é conhecido pelo juizo que fez; enlaçado foi o impio nas obras de suas mãos (Higgaion, Selah)
Os impios serão lançados no inferno, e todas as gentes que se esquecem de Deus. (Sheol h7585)
18 For the needy shall not alway be forgotten, nor the expectation of the poor perish for ever.
Porque o necessitado não será esquecido para sempre, nem a expectação dos miseraveis perecerá perpetuamente.
19 Arise, O LORD, let not man prevail; let the nations be judged in Thy sight.
Levanta-te, Senhor; não prevaleça o homem; sejam julgadas as gentes diante da tua face.
20 Set terror over them, O LORD; let the nations know they are but men. (Selah)
Põe-os em medo, Senhor, para que saibam as nações que não são mais do que homens (Selah)
