Psalms 89
1 Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever; to all generations will I make known Thy faithfulness with my mouth.
Ezrahlı Eytan'ın Maskili RAB'bin sevgisini sonsuza dek ezgilerle öveceğim, Sadakatini bütün kuşaklara bildireceğim.
2 For I have said: 'For ever is mercy built; in the very heavens Thou dost establish Thy faithfulness.
Sevgin sonsuza dek ayakta kalır diyeceğim, Sadakatini gökler kadar kalıcı kıldın.
3 I have made a covenant with My chosen, I have sworn unto David My servant:
Dedin ki, “Seçtiğim adamla antlaşma yaptım, Kulum Davut'a şöyle ant içtim:
4 For ever will I establish thy seed, and build up thy throne to all generations.' (Selah)
‘Soyunu sonsuza dek sürdüreceğim, Tahtını kuşaklar boyunca sürekli kılacağım.’” (Sela)
5 So shall the heavens praise Thy wonders, O LORD, Thy faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones.
Ya RAB, gökler över harikalarını, Kutsallar topluluğunda övülür sadakatin.
6 For who in the skies can be compared unto the LORD, who among the sons of might can be likened unto the LORD,
Çünkü göklerde RAB'be kim eş koşulur? Kim benzer RAB'be ilahi varlıklar arasında?
7 A God dreaded in the great council of the holy ones, and feared of all them that are about Him?
Kutsallar topluluğunda Tanrı korku uyandırır, Çevresindekilerin hepsinden ulu ve müthiştir.
8 O LORD God of hosts, who is a mighty one, like unto Thee, O LORD? And Thy faithfulness is round about Thee.
Ya RAB, Her Şeye Egemen Tanrı, Senin gibi güçlü RAB var mı? Sadakatin çevreni sarar.
9 Thou rulest the proud swelling of the sea; when the waves thereof arise, Thou stillest them.
Sen kudurmuş denizler üzerinde egemenlik sürer, Dalgalar kabardıkça onları dindirirsin.
10 Thou didst crush Rahab, as one that is slain; Thou didst scatter Thine enemies with the arm of Thy strength.
Sen Rahav'ı leş ezer gibi ezdin, Güçlü kolunla düşmanlarını dağıttın.
11 Thine are the heavens, Thine also the earth; the world and the fulness thereof, Thou hast founded them.
Gökler senindir, yeryüzü de senin; Dünyanın ve içindeki her şeyin temelini sen attın.
12 The north and the south, Thou hast created them; Tabor and Hermon rejoice in Thy name.
Kuzeyi, güneyi sen yarattın, Tavor ve Hermon dağları Sana sevincini dile getiriyor.
13 Thine is an arm with might; strong is Thy hand, and exalted is Thy right hand.
Kolun güçlüdür, Elin kudretli, sağ elin yüce.
14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Thy throne; mercy and truth go before Thee.
Tahtın adalet ve doğruluk üzerine kurulu, Sevgi ve sadakat önünsıra gider.
15 Happy is the people that know the joyful shout; they walk, O LORD, in the light of Thy countenance.
Ne mutlu sevinç çığlıkları atmasını bilen halka, ya RAB! Yüzünün ışığında yürürler.
16 In Thy name do they rejoice all the day; and through Thy righteousness are they exalted.
Gün boyu senin adınla sevinir, Doğruluğunla yücelirler.
17 For Thou art the glory of their strength; and in Thy favour our horn is exalted.
Çünkü sen onların gücü ve yüceliğisin, Lütfun sayesinde gücümüz artar.
18 For of the LORD is our shield; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.
Kalkanımız RAB'be, Kralımız İsrail'in Kutsalı'na aittir.
19 Then Thou spokest in vision to Thy godly ones, and saidst: 'I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
Geçmişte bir görüm aracılığıyla, Sadık kullarına şöyle dedin: “Bir yiğide yardım ettim, Halkın içinden bir genci yükselttim.
20 I have found David My servant; with My holy oil have I anointed him;
Kulum Davut'u buldum, Kutsal yağımla onu meshettim.
21 With whom My hand shall be established; Mine arm also shall strengthen him.
Elim ona destek olacak, Kolum güç verecek.
22 The enemy shall not exact from him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
Düşman onu haraca bağlayamayacak, Kötüler onu ezmeyecek.
23 And I will beat to pieces his adversaries before him, and smite them that hate him.
Düşmanlarını onun önünde kıracağım, Ondan nefret edenleri vuracağım.
24 But My faithfulness and My mercy shall be with him; and through My name shall his horn be exalted.
Sadakatim, sevgim ona destek olacak, Benim adımla gücü yükselecek.
25 I will set his hand also on the sea, and his right hand on the rivers.
Sağ elini denizin, Irmakların üzerine egemen kılacağım.
26 He shall call unto Me: Thou art my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
‘Babam sensin’ diye seslenecek bana, ‘Tanrım, kurtuluşumun kayası.’
27 I also will appoint him first-born, the highest of the kings of the earth.
Ben de onu ilk oğlum, Dünyadaki kralların en yücesi kılacağım.
28 For ever will I keep for him My mercy, and My covenant shall stand fast with him.
Sonsuza dek ona sevgi göstereceğim, Onunla yaptığım antlaşma hiç bozulmayacak.
29 His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
Soyunu sonsuza dek, Tahtını gökler durduğu sürece sürdüreceğim.
30 If his children forsake My law, and walk not in Mine ordinances;
“Çocukları yasamdan ayrılır, İlkelerime göre yaşamazsa;
31 If they profane My statutes, and keep not My commandments;
Kurallarımı bozar, Buyruklarıma uymazsa,
32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with strokes.
İsyanlarını sopayla, Suçlarını dayakla cezalandıracağım.
33 But My mercy will I not break off from him, nor will I be false to My faithfulness.
Ama onu sevmekten vazgeçmeyecek, Sadakatime sırt çevirmeyeceğim.
34 My covenant will I not profane, nor alter that which is gone out of My lips.
Antlaşmamı bozmayacak, Ağzımdan çıkan sözü değiştirmeyeceğim.
35 Once have I sworn by My holiness: Surely I will not be false unto David;
Bir kez kutsallığım üstüne ant içtim, Davut'a yalan söylemeyeceğim.
36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before Me.
Onun soyu sonsuza dek sürecek, Tahtı karşımda güneş gibi duracak,
37 It shall be established for ever as the moon; and be stedfast as the witness in sky.' (Selah)
Göklerde güvenilir bir tanık olan ay gibi Sonsuza dek kalacak.” (Sela)
38 But Thou hast cast off and rejected, Thou hast been wroth with Thine anointed.
Ama sen reddettin, sırt çevirdin, Çok öfkelendin meshettiğin krala.
39 Thou hast abhorred the covenant of Thy servant; Thou hast profaned his crown even to the ground.
Kulunla yaptığın antlaşmadan vazgeçtin, Onun tacını yere atıp kirlettin.
40 Thou hast broken down all his fences; Thou hast brought his strongholds to ruin.
Yıktın bütün surlarını, Viran ettin kalelerini.
41 All that pass by the way spoil him; he is become a taunt to his neighbours.
Yoldan geçen herkes onu yağmaladı, Yüzkarası oldu komşularına.
42 Thou hast exalted the right hand of his adversaries; Thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
Hasımlarının sağ elini onun üstüne kaldırdın, Bütün düşmanlarını sevindirdin.
43 Yea, Thou turnest back the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
Kılıcının ağzını başka yöne çevirdin, Savaşta ona yan çıkmadın.
44 Thou hast made his brightness to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.
Görkemine son verdin, Tahtını yere çaldın.
45 The days of his youth hast Thou shortened; Thou hast covered him with shame. (Selah)
Gençlik günlerini kısalttın, Onu utanca boğdun. (Sela)
46 How long, O LORD, wilt Thou hide Thyself for ever? How long shall Thy wrath burn like fire?
Ne zamana dek, ya RAB? Sonsuza dek mi gizleneceksin? Ne zamana dek öfken alev alev yanacak?
47 O remember how short my time is; for what vanity hast Thou created all the children of men!
Anımsa ömrümün ne çabuk geçtiğini, Ne boş yaratmışsın insanoğlunu!
48 What man is he that liveth and shall not see death, that shall deliver his soul from the power of the grave? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
Var mı yaşayıp da ölümü görmeyen, Ölüler diyarının pençesinden canını kurtaran? (Sela) (Sheol h7585)
49 Where are Thy former mercies, O Lord, which Thou didst swear unto David in Thy faithfulness?
Ya Rab, nerede o eski sevgin? Davut'a göstereceğine ant içtiğin o sadık sevgin!
50 Remember, Lord, the taunt of Thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the taunt of so many peoples;
Anımsa, ya Rab, kullarının nasıl rezil olduğunu, Bütün halkların hakaretini bağrımda nasıl taşıdığımı, Düşmanlarının hakaretini, ya RAB, Meshettiğin kralın attığı adıma edilen hakaretleri.
51 Wherewith Thine enemies have taunted, O LORD, wherewith they have taunted the footsteps of Thine anointed.
52 Blessed be the LORD for evermore. Amen, and Amen.
Sonsuza dek övgüler olsun RAB'be! Amin! Amin!
