Psalms 89
1 Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever; to all generations will I make known Thy faithfulness with my mouth.
Nauczający (złożony) od Etana Ezrahytczyka. O miłosierdziach Pańskich na wieki śpiewać będę; od narodu do narodu opowiadać będę usty swemi prawdę twoję.
2 For I have said: 'For ever is mercy built; in the very heavens Thou dost establish Thy faithfulness.
Rzekłem bowiem: Miłosierdzie na wieki budowane będzie; na niebiosach utwierdziłeś prawdę twoję, o którejś rzekł:
3 I have made a covenant with My chosen, I have sworn unto David My servant:
Postanowiłem przymierze z wybranym moim: przysiągłem Dawidowi, słudze swemu,
4 For ever will I establish thy seed, and build up thy throne to all generations.' (Selah)
Że aż na wieki utwierdzę nasienie twoje, a zbuduję od narodu do narodu stolicę twoję. (Sela)
5 So shall the heavens praise Thy wonders, O LORD, Thy faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones.
Przetoż, Panie! wysławiają niebiosa cud twój, i prawdę twoję w zgromadzeniu świętych.
6 For who in the skies can be compared unto the LORD, who among the sons of might can be likened unto the LORD,
Albowiem któż na niebie przyrównany może być Panu? kto podobien jest Panu między synami mocarzów?
7 A God dreaded in the great council of the holy ones, and feared of all them that are about Him?
I w zgromadzeniu świętych bardzo jest Bóg straszliwy, a straszny nade wszystkich, którzy są około niego.
8 O LORD God of hosts, who is a mighty one, like unto Thee, O LORD? And Thy faithfulness is round about Thee.
Panie, Boże zastępów! któż jest jakoś ty, Pan mocny? bo prawda twoja jest około ciebie.
9 Thou rulest the proud swelling of the sea; when the waves thereof arise, Thou stillest them.
Ty panujesz nad nadętością morską; gdy się podnoszą nawałności jego, ty je skracasz.
10 Thou didst crush Rahab, as one that is slain; Thou didst scatter Thine enemies with the arm of Thy strength.
Tyś potawrł Egipt jako zranionego; mocą ramienia twego rozproszyłeś nieprzyjaciół twoich.
11 Thine are the heavens, Thine also the earth; the world and the fulness thereof, Thou hast founded them.
Twojeć są niebiosa, twoja też i ziemia; okrąg świata i pełność jego tyś ugruntował.
12 The north and the south, Thou hast created them; Tabor and Hermon rejoice in Thy name.
Tyś stworzył północy i południe; Tabor i Hermon śpiewają o imieniu twojem.
13 Thine is an arm with might; strong is Thy hand, and exalted is Thy right hand.
Ramię twoje mocne jest; można jest ręka twoja, a wywyższona jest prawica twoja.
14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Thy throne; mercy and truth go before Thee.
Sprawiedliwość i sąd są gruntem stolicy twojej; miłosierdzie i prawda uprzedzają oblicze twoje.
15 Happy is the people that know the joyful shout; they walk, O LORD, in the light of Thy countenance.
Błogosławiony lud, który zna dźwięk twój; Panie! w światłości oblicza twego chodzić będą.
16 In Thy name do they rejoice all the day; and through Thy righteousness are they exalted.
W imieniu twojem weselić się będą każdego dnia, a w sprwiedliwości twojej wywyższać się będą.
17 For Thou art the glory of their strength; and in Thy favour our horn is exalted.
Boś ty jest chwałą mocy ich, a za wolą twoją wywyższy się róg nasz.
18 For of the LORD is our shield; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.
Bo od Pana jest tarcza nasza, a od świętego Izraelskiego król nasz.
19 Then Thou spokest in vision to Thy godly ones, and saidst: 'I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
W on czas mówiąc w widzeniu do świętego twego rzekłeś: Położyłem ratunek w ręku mocarza, wywyższyłem wybranego z ludu.
20 I have found David My servant; with My holy oil have I anointed him;
Znalazłem Dawida, sługę mego; olejkiem świętym moim pomazałem go.
21 With whom My hand shall be established; Mine arm also shall strengthen him.
Przetoż ręka moja będzie stała przy nim, a ramię moje posili go.
22 The enemy shall not exact from him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
Nie uciśnie go nieprzyjaciel, a syn nieprawości nie utrapi go.
23 And I will beat to pieces his adversaries before him, and smite them that hate him.
Bo potrę przed twarzą jego przeciwników jego, a tych, którzy go mają w nienawiści, porażę.
24 But My faithfulness and My mercy shall be with him; and through My name shall his horn be exalted.
Nadto prawda moja i miłosierdzie moje z nim będzie, a w imieniu mojem wywyższony będzie róg jego.
25 I will set his hand also on the sea, and his right hand on the rivers.
I położę na morzu rękę jego i na rzekach prawicę jego.
26 He shall call unto Me: Thou art my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
On wołając rzecze: Tyś ojciec mój, Bóg mój, i skała zbawienia mego,
27 I also will appoint him first-born, the highest of the kings of the earth.
Ja go też za pierworodnego wystawię, i za wyższego nad królami ziemi.
28 For ever will I keep for him My mercy, and My covenant shall stand fast with him.
Na wieki mu zachowam miłosierdzie moje, a przymierze moje stałe będzie przy nim.
29 His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
I uczynię, że na wieki będzie trwało nasienie jego, a stolica jego jako dni niebios.
30 If his children forsake My law, and walk not in Mine ordinances;
Ale jeźliby synowie jego opuścili zakon mój, a w sądach moich nie chodzili;
31 If they profane My statutes, and keep not My commandments;
Jeźliby ustawy moje splugawili, a przykazań moich nie przestrzegali:
32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with strokes.
Tedy nawiedzę rózgą przestępstwo ich, a karaniem nieprawość ich.
33 But My mercy will I not break off from him, nor will I be false to My faithfulness.
Ale miłosierdzia swego nie odejmę od niego, ani skłamię przeciw prawdzie mojej.
34 My covenant will I not profane, nor alter that which is gone out of My lips.
Nie splugawię przymierza mego, a tego, co wyszło z ust moich, nie odmienię.
35 Once have I sworn by My holiness: Surely I will not be false unto David;
Razem przysiągł przez świętobliwość moję, że nie skłamię Dawidowi,
36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before Me.
A że nasienie jego zostanie na wieki, a stolica jego jako słońce przedemną;
37 It shall be established for ever as the moon; and be stedfast as the witness in sky.' (Selah)
Jako miesiąc będzie utwierdzone na wieki, i jako świadkowie na niebie godnowierni. (Sela)
38 But Thou hast cast off and rejected, Thou hast been wroth with Thine anointed.
Aleś go ty odrzucił i wzgardził; rozgniewałeś się na pomazańca twego.
39 Thou hast abhorred the covenant of Thy servant; Thou hast profaned his crown even to the ground.
Zrzuciłeś przymierze z sługą twoim; strąciłeś na ziemię koronę jego.
40 Thou hast broken down all his fences; Thou hast brought his strongholds to ruin.
Roztargałeś wszystkie płoty jego, i basztyś jego rozwalił.
41 All that pass by the way spoil him; he is become a taunt to his neighbours.
Szarpają go wszyscy, którzy drogą mimo idą; pośmiewiskiem jest i sąsiadom swoim.
42 Thou hast exalted the right hand of his adversaries; Thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
Wywyższyłeś prawicę przeciwników jego; uweseliłeś wszysstkich nieprzyjaciół jego.
43 Yea, Thou turnest back the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
I ostrze miecza jego stępiłeś, a nie ratowałeś go w bitwie.
44 Thou hast made his brightness to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.
Zniosłeś ochędóstwo jego, a stolicę jego uderzyłeś o ziemię.
45 The days of his youth hast Thou shortened; Thou hast covered him with shame. (Selah)
Ukróciłeś dni młodości jego, a przyodziałeś go hańbą. (Sela)
46 How long, O LORD, wilt Thou hide Thyself for ever? How long shall Thy wrath burn like fire?
Dokądże, Panie! na wiekiż się kryć będziesz? także będzie jako ogień pałać zapalczywość twoja?
47 O remember how short my time is; for what vanity hast Thou created all the children of men!
Wspomnijże na mię, jako krótki jest wiek mój; azaś próżno stworzył wszystkich synów ludzkich?
48 What man is he that liveth and shall not see death, that shall deliver his soul from the power of the grave? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
Któż z ludzi tak żyć może, aby nie oglądał śmierci? któż wyrwie duszę swą z mocy grobu? (Sela) (Sheol h7585)
49 Where are Thy former mercies, O Lord, which Thou didst swear unto David in Thy faithfulness?
Gdzież są litości twoje dawne, o Panie! któreś przysiągł Dawidowi w prawdzie swej?
50 Remember, Lord, the taunt of Thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the taunt of so many peoples;
Wspomnij, Panie! na zelżywość sług twoich, a jakom ponosił wzgardę w zanadrzu swem od wszystkich narodów możnych.
51 Wherewith Thine enemies have taunted, O LORD, wherewith they have taunted the footsteps of Thine anointed.
Panie! jako urągali nieprzyjaciele twoi, jako urągali ścieżkom pomazańca twego.
52 Blessed be the LORD for evermore. Amen, and Amen.
Niech będzie błogosławiony Pan aż na wieki. Amen, Amen.
