Psalms 89
1 Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever; to all generations will I make known Thy faithfulness with my mouth.
Az Ezrahita Ethán tanítása. Az Úrnak kegyelmességét hadd énekeljem örökké! Nemzetségről nemzetségre hirdetem a te hűséges voltodat az én számmal!
2 For I have said: 'For ever is mercy built; in the very heavens Thou dost establish Thy faithfulness.
Mert azt mondom: Örökké megáll a te kegyelmességed, és megerősíted a te hűséges voltodat az egekben, mondván:
3 I have made a covenant with My chosen, I have sworn unto David My servant:
Szövetséget kötöttem az én választottammal, megesküdtem Dávidnak, az én szolgámnak:
4 For ever will I establish thy seed, and build up thy throne to all generations.' (Selah)
Mindörökké megerősítem a te magodat, és nemzetségről nemzetségre megépítem a te királyi székedet. (Szela)
5 So shall the heavens praise Thy wonders, O LORD, Thy faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones.
És az egek dicsérik a te csodadolgodat Uram; a te hűséges voltodat is a szentek gyülekezetében.
6 For who in the skies can be compared unto the LORD, who among the sons of might can be likened unto the LORD,
Mert a felhőkben kicsoda hasonlatos az Úrhoz, s ki olyan, mint az Úr, az istenek fiai között?
7 A God dreaded in the great council of the holy ones, and feared of all them that are about Him?
Igen rettenetes Isten ő a szentek gyűlésében, és félelmetes mindazokra, a kik körülte vannak.
8 O LORD God of hosts, who is a mighty one, like unto Thee, O LORD? And Thy faithfulness is round about Thee.
Uram, Seregeknek Istene! Kicsoda olyan erős, mint te vagy Uram? És a te hűséges voltod körülvesz téged.
9 Thou rulest the proud swelling of the sea; when the waves thereof arise, Thou stillest them.
Te uralkodol a tengernek kevélységén; mikor az ő habjai felemelkednek, te csendesíted le azokat.
10 Thou didst crush Rahab, as one that is slain; Thou didst scatter Thine enemies with the arm of Thy strength.
Te rontád meg Égyiptomot mintegy átdöföttet; erős karoddal elszélesztetted ellenségeidet.
11 Thine are the heavens, Thine also the earth; the world and the fulness thereof, Thou hast founded them.
Tieid az egek, a föld is a tied: e világot minden benne valóval te fundáltad.
12 The north and the south, Thou hast created them; Tabor and Hermon rejoice in Thy name.
Az északot és a délt te teremtetted, a Thábor és a Hermon a te nevednek örvendeznek.
13 Thine is an arm with might; strong is Thy hand, and exalted is Thy right hand.
A te karod hatalommal teljes, a te kezed erős, a te jobbod méltóságos.
14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Thy throne; mercy and truth go before Thee.
Igazság és jogosság a te királyi székednek alapja; kegyelem és hűség jár a te orczád előtt.
15 Happy is the people that know the joyful shout; they walk, O LORD, in the light of Thy countenance.
Boldog nép az, a mely megérti a kürt szavát; a te orczádnak világosságánál jár ez, oh Uram!
16 In Thy name do they rejoice all the day; and through Thy righteousness are they exalted.
A te nevedben örvendeznek egész nap; és a te igazságodban felmagasztaltatnak.
17 For Thou art the glory of their strength; and in Thy favour our horn is exalted.
Mert az ő erejöknek ékessége te vagy; a te jóakaratoddal emeled fel a mi szarvunkat is.
18 For of the LORD is our shield; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.
Mert az Úr a mi paizsunk, és Izráelnek Szentje a mi királyunk.
19 Then Thou spokest in vision to Thy godly ones, and saidst: 'I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
Akkor látásban szóltál a te kegyeltednek, és mondád: Segítséget adtam a vitéznek, felmagasztaltam a népből választottat;
20 I have found David My servant; with My holy oil have I anointed him;
Megtaláltam Dávidot, az én szolgámat; szent olajommal kentem fel őt,
21 With whom My hand shall be established; Mine arm also shall strengthen him.
A kivel állandóan vele lesz az én kezem, sőt az én karom erősíti meg őt.
22 The enemy shall not exact from him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
Nem nyomhatja őt el az ellenség, és a gonosz ember sem nyomorgatja meg őt;
23 And I will beat to pieces his adversaries before him, and smite them that hate him.
Mert ő előtte rontom meg az ő szorongatóit, és verem meg az ő gyűlölőit.
24 But My faithfulness and My mercy shall be with him; and through My name shall his horn be exalted.
És vele lesz az én hűségem és kegyelmem, és az én nevemmel magasztaltatik fel az ő szarva.
25 I will set his hand also on the sea, and his right hand on the rivers.
És rávetem az ő kezét a tengerre, és az ő jobbját a folyóvizekre.
26 He shall call unto Me: Thou art my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
Ő így szólít engem: Atyám vagy te; én Istenem és szabadításom kősziklája!
27 I also will appoint him first-born, the highest of the kings of the earth.
Én meg elsőszülöttemmé teszem őt és felebbvalóvá a föld királyainál.
28 For ever will I keep for him My mercy, and My covenant shall stand fast with him.
Örökké megtartom néki az én kegyelmemet, és az én szövetségem bizonyos marad ő vele.
29 His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
És az ő magvát örökkévalóvá teszem, és az ő királyi székét, mint az egeknek napjait.
30 If his children forsake My law, and walk not in Mine ordinances;
Ha az ő fiai elhagyják az én törvényemet, és nem járnak az én végzéseim szerint;
31 If they profane My statutes, and keep not My commandments;
Ha az én rendeléseimet megtörik, és meg nem tartják az én parancsolatimat:
32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with strokes.
Akkor vesszővel látogatom meg az ő bűnöket, és vereségekkel az ő álnokságukat;
33 But My mercy will I not break off from him, nor will I be false to My faithfulness.
De az én kegyelmemet nem vonom meg tőle, és az én hűséges voltomban nem hazudom.
34 My covenant will I not profane, nor alter that which is gone out of My lips.
Nem töröm meg az én szövetségemet, és a mi kijött az én számból, el nem változtatom.
35 Once have I sworn by My holiness: Surely I will not be false unto David;
Megesküdtem egyszer az én szentségemre: vajjon megcsalhatnám-é Dávidot?
36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before Me.
Az ő magva örökké megmarad, és az ő királyi széke olyan előttem, mint a nap.
37 It shall be established for ever as the moon; and be stedfast as the witness in sky.' (Selah)
Megáll örökké, mint a hold, és bizonyos, mint a felhőben lévő bizonyság. (Szela)
38 But Thou hast cast off and rejected, Thou hast been wroth with Thine anointed.
De te mégis elvetetted és megútáltad őt, és megharagudtál a te felkentedre.
39 Thou hast abhorred the covenant of Thy servant; Thou hast profaned his crown even to the ground.
Felbontottad a te szolgáddal kötött szövetséget, földre tiportad az ő koronáját.
40 Thou hast broken down all his fences; Thou hast brought his strongholds to ruin.
Lerontottad az ő kőfalait mind; romokká tetted erősségeit.
41 All that pass by the way spoil him; he is become a taunt to his neighbours.
Zsákmányolták őt mind az úton járók; gyalázattá lőn az ő szomszédai előtt.
42 Thou hast exalted the right hand of his adversaries; Thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
Felmagasztaltad az ő szorongatóinak jobbját, és megvidámítottad minden ellenségét.
43 Yea, Thou turnest back the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
Még fegyverének élét is elvetted, és nem segítetted őt a harczban.
44 Thou hast made his brightness to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.
Eltörlötted az ő fényességét, és az ő királyi székét a földre vetetted.
45 The days of his youth hast Thou shortened; Thou hast covered him with shame. (Selah)
Az ő ifjúságának napjait megrövidítetted, gyalázatot borítottál reá. (Szela)
46 How long, O LORD, wilt Thou hide Thyself for ever? How long shall Thy wrath burn like fire?
Meddig rejtegeted még magad, oh Uram, szüntelen, és ég a te haragod, mint a tűz?
47 O remember how short my time is; for what vanity hast Thou created all the children of men!
Emlékezzél meg rólam: mily rövid az élet! Mily semmire teremtetted te mind az embernek fiait!
48 What man is he that liveth and shall not see death, that shall deliver his soul from the power of the grave? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
Kicsoda oly erős, hogy éljen és ne lásson halált s megszabadítsa magát a Seolnak kezéből? (Szela) (Sheol h7585)
49 Where are Thy former mercies, O Lord, which Thou didst swear unto David in Thy faithfulness?
Hol van a te előbbi kegyelmességed, Uram? Megesküdtél Dávidnak a te hűséges voltodra!
50 Remember, Lord, the taunt of Thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the taunt of so many peoples;
Emlékezzél meg Uram a te szolgáidnak gyalázatjokról! hogy sok népnek gyalázatját hordozom keblemben,
51 Wherewith Thine enemies have taunted, O LORD, wherewith they have taunted the footsteps of Thine anointed.
A melyekkel gyaláztak a te ellenségeid Uram, a melyekkel gyalázták a te felkentednek lépéseit.
52 Blessed be the LORD for evermore. Amen, and Amen.
Áldott legyen az Úr mindörökké! Ámen és Ámen.
