< Psalms 87 >
1 A Psalm of the sons of Korah; a Song. His foundation is in the holy mountains.
“By the sons of Korach; a psalm or song.” It is founded by him on holy mountains.
2 The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

3 Glorious things are spoken of Thee, O city of God. (Selah)

4 'I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon as among them that know Me; behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this one was born there.'
I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon as those that know me; behold, here is Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia: “This man was born there.”
5 But of Zion it shall be said: 'This man and that was born in her; and the Most High Himself doth establish her.'
But of Zion will it be said, “This and that man were born in her:” and the Most High himself doth establish her.
6 The LORD shall count in the register of the peoples: 'This one was born there.' (Selah)
The Lord will number when he writeth down nations. “This man was born there.” (Selah)
7 And whether they sing or dance, all my thoughts are in Thee.
And the singers as well as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs [of joy] are in thee.
