< Psalms 86 >
1 A Prayer of David. Incline Thine ear, O LORD, and answer me; for I am poor and needy.
Dawid mpaebɔ. Awurade, tie me na gye me so, efisɛ meyɛ ohiani ne mmɔborɔni.
2 Keep my soul, for I am godly; O Thou my God, save Thy servant that trusteth in Thee.
Bɔ me nkwa ho ban, efisɛ mede me ho ama wo. Wo ne me Nyankopɔn, gye wʼakoa a ɔde ne ho to wo so.
3 Be gracious unto me, O Lord; for unto Thee do I cry all the day.
Awurade, hu me mmɔbɔ, na misu frɛ wo daa nyinaa.
4 Rejoice the soul of Thy servant; for unto Thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
Ma wʼakoa ani nnye, na wo Awurade, wo nkyɛn na mema me kra so ba.
5 For Thou, Lord, art good, and ready to pardon, and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon Thee.
Awurade, wuye na wode bɔne kyɛ, wowɔ ɔdɔ mmoroso ma wɔn a wosu frɛ wo nyinaa.
6 Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend unto the voice of my supplications.
Awurade, tie me mpaebɔ; tie me mmɔborɔsu.
7 In the day of my trouble I call upon Thee; for Thou wilt answer me.
Mɛfrɛ wo mʼahohia da mu, na wubegye me so.
8 There is none like unto Thee among the gods, O Lord, and there are no works like Thine.
Awurade, onyame bi nni hɔ a ɔte sɛ wo; na wɔn nnwuma biara nto wo de.
9 All nations whom Thou hast made shall come and prostrate themselves before Thee, O Lord; and they shall glorify Thy name.
Awurade, aman a woakyekyere nyinaa bɛba abɛsom wo wɔ wʼanim; wɔbɛba abɛhyɛ wo din anuonyam.
10 For Thou art great, and doest wondrous things; Thou art God alone.
Woyɛ ɔkɛse na woyɛ anwonwa nnwuma; wo nko ara ne Onyankopɔn.
11 Teach me, O LORD, Thy way, that I may walk in Thy truth; make one my heart to fear Thy name.
Awurade, kyerɛ me wʼakwan, na mɛnantew wo nokware mu; ma memfa me koma nyinaa mma wo na masuro wo din.
12 I will thank Thee, O Lord my God, with my whole heart; and I will glorify Thy name for evermore.
Mede me koma nyinaa meyi wo ayɛ, Awurade me Nyankopɔn na mahyɛ wo din anuonyam daa nyinaa.
13 For great is Thy mercy toward me; and Thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest nether-world. (Sheol )
Efisɛ ɔdɔ a wode dɔ me no so; woayi me afi owu amoa mu tɔnn. (Sheol )
14 O God, the proud are risen up against me, and the company of violent men have sought after my soul, and have not set Thee before them.
Ao, Onyankopɔn, ahomasofo atow ahyɛ me so; basabasayɛfo kuw rehwehwɛ me akum me, nnipa a wɔmmfa wo nyɛ hwee no.
15 But Thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
Nanso wo, Awurade, woyɛ mmɔborɔhunufo ne ɔdomfo Nyankopɔn, wo bo kyɛ fuw, na wʼadɔe ne wo nokware dɔɔso.
16 O turn unto me, and be gracious unto me; give Thy strength unto Thy servant, and save the son of Thy handmaid.
Dan wʼani hwɛ me na dom me; fa wʼahoɔden ma wʼakoa na gye wʼafenaa babarima nkwa.
17 Work in my behalf a sign for good; that they that hate me may see it, and be put to shame, because Thou, LORD, hast helped me, and comforted me.
Ma me wo papayɛ ho nsɛnkyerɛnne, na mʼatamfo nhu na wɔn anim ngu ase na wo, Awurade, wo na woaboa me akyekye me werɛ.
