Psalms 86
1 A Prayer of David. Incline Thine ear, O LORD, and answer me; for I am poor and needy.
Prière de David. Prête l'oreille ô Éternel, exauce-moi; Car je suis affligé et misérable.
2 Keep my soul, for I am godly; O Thou my God, save Thy servant that trusteth in Thee.
Protège mon âme; car je suis de ceux qui t'aiment. Mon Dieu, sauve ton serviteur qui se confie en toi!
3 Be gracious unto me, O Lord; for unto Thee do I cry all the day.
Aie pitié de moi, Seigneur; Car je crie vers toi tout le jour.
4 Rejoice the soul of Thy servant; for unto Thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
Réjouis l'âme de ton serviteur: C'est à toi. Seigneur, que j'élève mon âme!
5 For Thou, Lord, art good, and ready to pardon, and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon Thee.
Car tu es bon et clément. Seigneur, Et riche en grâce pour tous ceux qui t'invoquent.
6 Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend unto the voice of my supplications.
Écoute ma prière, ô Éternel, Et sois attentif à ma voix suppliante!
7 In the day of my trouble I call upon Thee; for Thou wilt answer me.
Je t'invoque au jour de ma détresse, Parce que tu m'exauces.
8 There is none like unto Thee among the gods, O Lord, and there are no works like Thine.
Nul parmi les dieux n'est comme toi. Seigneur, Et il n'est point d'oeuvres comme les tiennes.
9 All nations whom Thou hast made shall come and prostrate themselves before Thee, O Lord; and they shall glorify Thy name.
Toutes les nations que tu as faites Viendront se prosterner devant toi. Seigneur, Et elles glorifieront ton nom.
10 For Thou art great, and doest wondrous things; Thou art God alone.
Car tu es grand, et tu accomplis des miracles: Toi seul, tu es Dieu!
11 Teach me, O LORD, Thy way, that I may walk in Thy truth; make one my heart to fear Thy name.
Eternel, apprends-moi à marcher dans tes voies: Je suivrai le chemin de ta vérité. Dispose mon coeur à la crainte de ton nom.
12 I will thank Thee, O Lord my God, with my whole heart; and I will glorify Thy name for evermore.
Je te louerai, Seigneur, mon Dieu, de tout mon coeur. Et je glorifierai ton nom à toujours;
13 For great is Thy mercy toward me; and Thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest nether-world. (Sheol h7585)
Car ta bonté est grande envers moi, Et tu as retiré mon âme du fond du Sépulcre. (Sheol h7585)
14 O God, the proud are risen up against me, and the company of violent men have sought after my soul, and have not set Thee before them.
O Dieu, des orgueilleux se lèvent contre moi. Des bandes d'hommes violents en veulent à ma vie; Ils ne pensent jamais à toi.
15 But Thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
Mais toi, Seigneur, tu es un Dieu Compatissant et miséricordieux. Lent à la colère, riche en grâce et en fidélité.
16 O turn unto me, and be gracious unto me; give Thy strength unto Thy servant, and save the son of Thy handmaid.
Tourne-toi vers moi et prends-moi en pitié. Donne ta force à ton serviteur. Et sauve le fils de ta servante.
17 Work in my behalf a sign for good; that they that hate me may see it, and be put to shame, because Thou, LORD, hast helped me, and comforted me.
Accorde-moi un signe de ta faveur, Afin que mes ennemis soient couverts de confusion, Et qu'ils voient que c'est toi, ô Éternel, Qui me secours et me consoles!
