Psalms 85
1 For the Leader. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. LORD, Thou hast been favourable unto Thy land, Thou hast turned the captivity of Jacob.
Načelniku godbe med sinovi Koretovimi, psalm. Blagovoljen si bil, Gospod, deželi svoji; nazaj si bil pripeljal sužnje krdelo Jakobovo.
2 Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of Thy people, Thou hast pardoned all their sin. (Selah)
Odpustil si bil krivico ljudstvu svojemu, pokril si bil ves njih greh.
3 Thou hast withdrawn all Thy wrath; Thou hast turned from the fierceness of Thine anger.
Potolažil si bil ves srd svoj, odvrnil, da ni kipela, jezo svojo.
4 Restore us, O God of our salvation, and cause Thine indignation toward us to cease.
Postavi nas v prejšnji stan, o Bog blaginje naše; in potolaži nevoljo svojo proti nam.
5 Wilt Thou be angry with us for ever? Wilt Thou draw out Thine anger to all generations?
Ali se bodeš večno jezil nad nami? raztezal jezo svoje od roda do roda?
6 Wilt Thou not quicken us again, that Thy people may rejoice in Thee?
Ali ne bodeš vrnivši se nazaj nas postavil v življenje, da se ljudstvo tvoje raduje v tebi?
7 Show us Thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us Thy salvation.
Pokaži nam, Gospod, milost svojo; in daj nam blaginjo svojo.
8 I will hear what God the LORD will speak; for He will speak peace unto His people, and to His saints; but let them not turn back to folly.
Poslušal bodem, kaj govori, Bog ón mogočni Gospod, ker mir govori proti ljudstvu svojemu, in proti njim, katerim je milosten; ali k nespameti naj se ne povrnejo.
9 Surely His salvation is nigh them that fear Him; that glory may dwell in our land.
Res, blizu je njim, ki se njega bojé, blaginja njegova; slava bode prebivala v deželi naši.
10 Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
Milost in zvestoba se srečati; pravica in mir se poljubita.
11 Truth springeth out of the earth; and righteousness hath looked down from heaven.
Zvestoba požene iz zemlje, in pravica pogleda z nebés.
12 Yea, the LORD will give that which is good; and our land shall yield her produce.
Tudi Bog bode dal, kar je dobro, da zemlja naša obrodi svoj sad.
13 Righteousness shall go before Him, and shall make His footsteps a way.
Storil bode, da pojde pravica pred njim, ko postavi noge svoje na pot.
