< Psalms 83 >

1 A Song, a Psalm of Asaph. O God, keep not Thou silence; hold not Thy peace, and be not still, O God.
Bože! nemoj zamuknuti, nemoj šutjeti, niti poèivaj, Bože!
2 For, lo, Thine enemies are in an uproar; and they that hate Thee have lifted up the head.
Jer evo neprijatelji tvoji uzavreše, i koji te nenavide, podigoše glavu.
3 They hold crafty converse against Thy people, and take counsel against Thy treasured ones.
Po narod tvoj zlo naumiše, i dogovaraju se na izbrane tvoje.
4 They have said: 'Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.'
Rekoše: hodite da ih istrijebimo izmeðu naroda da se više ne spominje ime Izrailjevo.
5 For they have consulted together with one consent; against Thee do they make a covenant;
Složno pristaše i suprot tebi vjeru uhvatiše:
6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab, and the Hagrites;
Naselja Edomova i Ismailovci, Moav i Agareni,
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Geval i Amon i Amalik, Filisteji s Tircima;
8 Assyria also is joined with them; they have been an arm to the children of Lot. (Selah)
I Asur udruži se s njima; postadoše mišica sinovima Lotovijem.
9 Do Thou unto them as unto Midian; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook Kishon;
Uèini im onako kao Madijamu, kao Sisari, kao Javinu na potoku Kisonu,
10 Who were destroyed at En-dor; they became as dung for the earth.
Koji su istrijebljeni u Aendoru, nagnojiše sobom zemlju.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, and like Zebah and Zalmunna all their princes;
Uradi s njima, s knezovima njihovijem, kao s Orivom i Zivom, i sa svima glavarima njihovijem kao sa Zevejem i Salmanom.
12 Who said: 'Let us take to ourselves in possession the habitations of God.'
Jer govore: osvojimo naselja Božija.
13 O my God, make them like the whirling dust; as stubble before the wind.
Bože moj! zapovjedi neka budu kao prah, kao pijesak pred vjetrom.
14 As the fire that burneth the forest, and as the flame that setteth the mountains ablaze;
Kao što oganj sažiže šumu, i kao plamen što zapaljuje gore,
15 So pursue them with Thy tempest, and affright them with Thy storm.
Tako ih pognaj burom svojom i vihorom svojim smeti ih.
16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek Thy name, O LORD.
Pokrij lice njihovo sramotom, da bi tražili ime tvoje, Gospode!
17 Let them be ashamed and affrighted for ever; yea, let them be abashed and perish;
Neka se stide i srame dovijeka, neka se smetu i izginu!
18 That they may know that it is Thou alone whose name is the LORD, the Most High over all the earth.
I neka znadu da si ti, kojemu je ime Gospod, jedini najviši nad svom zemljom.
