Psalms 81
1 For the Leader; upon the Gittith. A Psalm of Asaph. Sing aloud unto God our strength; shout unto the God of Jacob.
[Aka mawt ham Asaph kah Gittith] Mamih kah sarhi Pathen taengah tamhoe uh lamtah Jakob Pathen taengah yuhui uh lah.
2 Take up the melody, and sound the timbrel, the sweet harp with the psaltery.
Oldi te phoh uh lamtah kamrhing rhotoeng neh dingsuek thangpa tum uh.
3 Blow the horn at the new moon, at the full moon for our feast-day.
Hlasae, hlalum vaengkah mamih khotue hnin ah tuki te ueng uh lah.
4 For it is a statute for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob.
Hekah he Israel ham Jakob Pathen kah laitloeknah oltlueh coeng ni.
5 He appointed it in Joseph for a testimony, when He went forth against the land of Egypt. The speech of one that I knew not did I hear:
Ka yak ming mueh ol, Egypt kho la a caeh vaengah Joseph ham a khueh olphong ni.
6 'I removed his shoulder from the burden; His hands were freed from the basket.
A laengpang dongkah hnorhih te ka khoe pah tih a kut khaw voh khui lamkah loeih.
7 Thou didst call in trouble, and I rescued thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder; I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. (Selah)
Citcai khuiah nan khue tih nang kan pumcum sak. Khohum hlip lamkah nang kan doo tih Meribah tui ah nang kan loep kan dak. (Selah)
8 Hear, O My people, and I will admonish thee: O Israel, if thou wouldest hearken unto Me!
Ka pilnam loh hnatun lamtah kai ol te na hnatun atah Israel nang taengah ka laipai ni.
9 There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any foreign god.
Na khuiah rhalawt pathen om boel saeh lamtah kholong pathen te bawk boeh.
10 I am the LORD thy God, who brought thee up out of the land of Egypt; open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
Kai tah Egypt kho lamkah nang aka doek na Pathen YAHWEH ni. Na ka ang lamtah kan hah sak eh.
11 But My people hearkened not to My voice; and Israel would none of Me.
Tedae ka pilnam loh ka ol he ya pawt tih Israel loh kai taengah naep pawh.
12 So I let them go after the stubbornness of their heart, that they might walk in their own counsels.
Te dongah amih te lungbuei thinthahnah taengla ka hlah tih amih kah cilkhih dongah pongpa uh.
13 Oh that My people would hearken unto Me, that Israel would walk in My ways!
Ka pilnam loh kai taengah hnatang koinih ka longpuei te Israel loh a vai sui dae.
14 I would soon subdue their enemies, and turn My hand against their adversaries.
A thunkha rhoek te a loe la ka kunyun sak vetih a rhal te ka kut neh ka thuung pah suidae.
15 The haters of the LORD should dwindle away before Him; and their punishment should endure for ever.
BOEIPA kah a lunguet rhoek loh anih taengah mai a tum uh vetih amih kah khohnin khaw kumhal duela puh suidae.
16 They should also be fed with the fat of wheat; and with honey out of the rock would I satisfy thee.'
